I loved the pleco condos! I think it’s so cool how the plecos swim in and out of each unit 😁 What did you think? Discus lovers will love this 👉 ua-cam.com/video/8sY8N5dCEyM/v-deo.html
I like the pleco hotels, I would love to see more of the fish you show us. I love you videos. I would love to see more of the water gardens (padio pond's) with different fish in there, you have shown rice fish, I think I would like to try with Platty's in my apartment. 🙂💚✌️
This store is part of my childhood. I remember going there every week after tuition at Mavis to buy 50cents worth of live tubifex worms to feed my fish - the uncle would use a fork to scoop the worms into a little plastic bag and then package it. After that, I would go to the arcade at Super Bowl, play a few rounds of Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Samurai Showdown, before heading home. The boss was a lanky stern-looking uncle who was always in white singlet and black pants, but he was actually friendly, maybe because I was a kid. For many years, there was a three feet tank that had hundreds of mini neon tetras selling at 30 cents each. They always had orange, blue and moonlight gouramis, jewel cichlids and lemon cichlids, which were my favorites. Although I do not know them personally, it is nice to see good business still at their store. Thanks Ryo for the video.
Neo Kim Swee aquarium has been operating in Singapore for many years. I bought my first 4-feet tank when I was in Primary School around 30 years ago. Time flies. Glad to see the business still around.
Hi again Ryo. I'm sure you must have heard about block 328 Clementi. There's a whole row of fish shops. My fave is the original 328 shop which isn't open on Sundays. Hope you'd make a video there. Thanks for the awesome videos. Keep'em coming! :)
I was just there last weekend.. that Terrapin tank is now a tank for two Albino Red Ear Sliders.. and their guppy range has increased.. although I wish they had more Betta's .. i went over looking for betta's ended up buying some male guppies and neon tetra's
I've been there a couple of times. I bought L203 Panaque Schaeferi from them two years ago. But, generally, NKS is slightly more pricey compared to those in Clementi 328.
Cool! There used to be a few aquarium shops there but only NKS stood the test of time. We usually call it the Uncle Aquarium as last time it was mostly the uncle tending the shop :)
Dude, you should come over to Serangoon North. There is an area called pet walk and it's lined with about 10 pet shops, fish and amphibians and small pets like hamsters. In that one area itself, I think there are like 6 or 7 fish shops. Some of them have very cool unique fish as well. One shop even sells exotic killifish. From that place, you can take a direct bus to nex mall about 5 minutes away and there is another pet shop on the 4th floor of Nex. They specialize in nano fish. The displays there are immaculate and the tanks are clean and beautiful.
at 16:09 you can see a freshwater puffer fish in another tank in the background, how did you walk past the most interesting creature in the whole shop?!
Ryo Watanabe oh i thought you were able to keep him :( anyway, you could always get 1 back in japan! Keep up the great work. Love your vids with new fish stores
I like the pleco condo...but I wonder if they will breed in those or if they need/want a cave with a closed back in order to breed? Mine are picky and want small tight caves for breeding.
@@RyoWatanabee yeah I thought so, and that to me is the only drawback of having those condos, if you want them to breed. I wasn't sure if they would breed in an open tube or something....I make my own caves out of clay and they are always closed obviously. Otherwise yes they are very cool looking. Good video, as always thanks for sharing!. And when you are back, please tell the owners of these places that we appreciate them allowing you to video.
Given that you have a 4ft tank and suppose you are gonna make a community with different species of nano fishes with landscape. What kind of fishes would you put in the tank? Nice work of introducing all the lfs in sg and japan btw👍👍👍
Such a wide selection! Thanks Ryo... have you ever explired the different types of filtration in all these stores? I wonder if you might come across any new techniques or variations of common set ups... been getting in to filter types recently so it was interesting to see those little baskets in use in this store 👍
Only if fish cost the same in the US then it did in Singapore. I’d have a house full of aquariums. 😭 I saw the black ghost knife was $4 SGD which is about $2.90 USD. Here in the Boston, it’s $20!

I don't think those fishes were injected, i think they were genetically bred to have that glow in the dark streak. Just like glo-fish, except in the dorsal area instead of in their whole body.
Sham Maideen they are called painted fish. I’ve heard that people literally take them out of the tanks and paint them using special things. I think their real name is Indian glass fish or something.
@@shammaideen6628 these are painted. A dye is injected into the fish. Singapore is still backwards in a sense that these kind of tricks are still being accepted as okay by the public.
Neon Tetra for 30 cents??? I wish I had a fish store like that here in upstate NY. Besides the big pet stores we have 1 fish store but it’s not clean like this store. Hard to find things and some not in great shape. Too bad because the place is always crowded.
I see heaters? I thought those would be extinct in Singapore. I wonder how many exotic big fish are swimming in lakes.ponds, and down to creeks in Singapore? You know when they tire of feeding a big Pacu or Cichla...just let it go.

I used to buy my fish there but the boss is really rude so I don't recommend
⁰⁰pp
Also, should I add more cinematic scenes to my fish store tours like the one at 13:01?
Yes of course, as in this fish store tour it fits perfectly 👌🏼
But your comments are the most important :)
I'm very jealous of those affordable prices. Thanks for showing us another great store.
It's even cheaper because those are Singapore dollar

Stingrays are pretty sensitive so it’s best to get the water parameters right
