People have different regional traits even when they are of the same race , distinct phenotypes .In Europe they'll tell you that the Northern Europeans has a high prevalence of blue eyes, they are tall and mostly has blond hair. In India the Southern Indians are comparatively Dark skinned with broader lips and they are called Dravidians. In Africa it's the same thing west African are physically gygantic and they have broader faces , there's also prevalence of flat head . East Africans are also distinct a lot of them has round faces typical of Nilotic features . Southern Africans have small bodies have a high prevalence of being light skinned due to the influence of the Khoisan DNA .
South Eastern Bantu, West African Bantu, Central Africa ...that's what i think you are..im glad that i was right. Dony yet know the results...but you are South african.....❤
I enjoyed watching your video. You are doing great job.
Thank you so much ❤️
Hey Benita, have you picked up any relatives through this test?
Congs sister, it's coz of migrations and settlement estimated to having taken place 1500s--1800s❤️🌷🌹👍
If you can go back 2000 years ago you'll discover that you have ancestors from Egypt or the Middle East if already you don't have Lemba ancestry.
I get that a lot people say I look like I am from west Africa and I like it, I am Venda man born and bred in Limpopo.
Oh wow, I am not alone then
"We been telling you"😭😭😭😭😅
imagine 😂💀
I never thought there are 100% Bantu in South Africa I always thought we are yes predominantly Bantu (Southern Bantu and Western Bantus (Cameroon/Congo)) but with Khoisan admixture (again depending on tribes/ clans/families) because some small percentage of my family members from my maternal grandmother including her do look like the Khoisan people and my paternal grandmother said she is paternally the descendant of Baswara (Khoisan). I believe my dna will be less or more than 90% Bantu but I think the best answer is DNA test.
I really love all the information presented ted in the comments, thanks for sharing !
What is ur tribe?my dad is xhosa my mom is zulu
@@luyandamthabela3334 I am a Mopedi both side but any way nobody is 100% from one tribe.
Has any khoisan did any dna trdt. I am not talking about khoisans mixed with other races that came out of Africa but the real black african khoisans
batswana, sotho ,xhosa and zulu has the most Khoi DNA than any group in SA
hi wen you ordered your kit was it sent to South Africa or order from the states im trying to order a kit for my friend who lives in South Africa and im not sure what web sight to use to order ancestry dna could you please share thank you
🇨🇩 🇨🇬 Congolese girl 🤔. It makes sense though. There are people with a common surname as mine in the Congo, although the majority are in South Africa 🇿🇦 and Mozambique 🇲🇿 . U wa ka hina wena 🤣🤣🤣.

Glad you enjoyed! Thank you for watching and subscribing ❤️
I definitely thought you were Zimbabwean , I had to go look for a get to know me tag video to check if I was right or wrong 😅
😂😂😂😂
We have to definitely get more Africans so that white DNA company in the states can start to divide it up better. They just don’t know enough about African DNA to be able to localize it into one area. Somebody call ancestry DNA over in Salt Lake to let them know,
💯💯💯💯
When africans will do these tests is when i will do it. I am not sending my DNA to america
😅😅 history has it that Vhenda people people originated from The Congo. So the results are actually not too surprising
This is awkward: Seeing that I’m not Venda🌚
@@BenittaDanielle and the Tsonga 😆
I wonder what the update looks like.
I thought you were Nigerian omg you look very Nigerian I would’ve never guessed South African
😂❤️ Yeah I get that one a lot too.
@NA Phiri South Africans generally look different from West Africans.
@NA Phiri I can tell a South African from a West African just by looking at them.
She does not look like a typical South African, she looks like a West and Central African.
@NA Phiri Did I say you ain't South African? I said she does not look like a typical South African( I'm not just talking about the country South Africa, but Southern part of Africa in general).
Her features are common with West and Central Africa than South or East Africa. This does not mean you are not from the country of SA. Understand me before throwing curse words!
@NA Phiri Black South Africans Are descandants of Nigerians
I always find this interesting when people get DNA tests. Of ancestors, I would take one, but my parents are Zimbabwean, so I don't expect anything besides a bit of Ndebele
You'd be surprised - if you're able to, try it out!
They would not say you Zimbabwean but that you South east African
Thanks for the clarifications @@SabzKhumalo
@@queenapryllm8454 And South East Africa in the sense that its from the Tanzania region not actually Southern African, natives are the Khoi and the San we are from all over the region of East and South East Africa because thats where Bantus came from. You might get Southern African DNA since your ndebele though
Limpopo girl. You look beautiful 😻
😊 thank you
Notification gang 💃🏾💃🏾
Gang gang!! We love to see it 💛❤️‼️🥰
Some guy in my first year told me that they descendants from the DR talking about vhenda or Tsonga people not sure. He said that they were farmers and they were farming the land and they got to SA and stayed there.
That's actually very interesting! I have learned a lot through the comments
It's true my dad told me about it
I've been told the same thing as well.i suspect my roots are from Kenya though 🙈😘
Thats interesting! hopefully you find out some day
The Bantu people are know for traveling through out southern and west Africa. Research “the Bantu migration”. This is what is reflected in your DNA. ALSO, present day borders in African were created by Europeans. Before European interference, tribal groups existed in several areas and even intermingled. Congratulation’s on doing your DNA but don’t forget the sad history behind present day borders
Well said
I thought the only African groups in South Africa are the hunger gatherers in khoi-khoi and San Bushman then followed by various Bantu speakers. From what I understand is the various Bantu speakers look the same or very similar,so someone mistaken for Nigeria or whatever doesn't make sense.
I love the conversation going here
@@mosalethoba5267 West Africans also have a higher percentage of their people bow legged where as alot of SAns knit jerseys.
Special ❤
South Eastern Bantu, West African Bantu, Central Africa ...that's what i think you are..im glad that i was right. Southern African people are mixed with populations that came from West africa and East Africa (while they were migrating they went past Central africa...Tsonga people arrived later on so the San ancestry is low/not there, South africa was originally Khoi and San land. So 66%Southern bantu is great because a South African girl took down a video when she realized she was barely Southern bantu, she was mostly Central Africa, like 70% and above...she said that she was Zulu
I am loving the information. Thank you for sharing!! It's unfortunate about the South African girl taking down a video, hope she's doing well.
@@BenittaDanielle yep depending on which Tsonga tribe you fall under : VaLambya, VaRhonga, VaHlanganu, VaHlengwe, VaCopi, VaShangane, etc.
VaShangane - lead by Soshangane Nxumalo a Nguni (Central Africa origin) who joined VaCopi and other "Tsonga tribes", the Nguni culture still exists in other countries outside South Africa.....I have no idea hey, people need to accept that africans moved around.
Hmm what test had she used? Because if she was based in SA and used Myheritage then she would not come up as South African because that company doesn't have SA reference samples.
@@charmainej4820 Nguni are South Africans who migrated not the other way around. There was no Nguni before the migration if you thinking older then those people who eventually made up the Nguni people would be a collective of different groups under their original clan names like Mbatha, Mthethwa etc these clans can be traced way back.
West africa doesn't have bantu. Bantu are only found in east, central and southern Africa. West africa is distinct. Cameroon is not in west africa.
I so wanna do the test 😢 I just wish it was more detailed
I definitely wish it could tell more! And you should totally do it!
Try African Ancestry it gives u the name of the ethnic group you have too
You are Bantu and this is confirming that we migrated from West Africa.
💯💯
From East*... West Africans migrated from East too.

This is so cool
Thanks!
omg the double double this this xD i forgot that hand game haha
Such a good throwback 😂
You’ll find that you have Ethiopian/Omotic dna 🧬 from Gedmatch dna testing 🧬 Mntase because remember us Southern Bantu people were once from Eastern Bantu branch which the Eastern Bantu branch is mixed with the Ethiopian/Omotic, Hadza hunter gatherers and Nilo Saharan.
Thanks for the suggestion!!
@Y'allgotaNZOL That is so true! Because there was a South African DNA show where a Zulu radio celebrity traced her maternal dna from Ethiopia 🇪🇹. Desmond Tutu also had similar features that was Omotic though he was a Xhosa.
I am from Congo and a lot of us have north eastern DNA.. And thats relate ehat our ancestors said. We orinate from there
@@samp5764 well seems Ethiopia was not in her dna so...
Human beings originated from central - East Africa before the began their migration in the. Ontinent and elsewhere. If not all but most South Africans, people from Eswatini, Lesotho, etc. migrated from Central Africa ( Kongo). KONGO is a combination of Leopard and Lion totem name that is used in Congo , South Africa , Cameroun , etc. For more Iinformation look at the lion or leopard skin worn by Kings in Africa. Most of African countries names are fake . In order to control African empires and Kingdoms , Europeans divided the Continent with artificial borders. One in 20 Congolese girls is name Benita. Africa could be compared to a big home with a lot of rooms that houses different children from one father and different women. So when I walk into one room please understand that we are in our home ( Afrika). We are brothers and sisters of same parents. Some of us may have small or big heads, light or dark and brown complexions, or look small, medium or tall, we are still one people. We are all indigenous people of Africa. Stop your divide and conquer mentality. You are beautiful and smart . Thanks for your presentation.
Im Xhosa i took the tests im 💯 African

Where are you based currently? Your results are not surprising if you know that Africans were roaming about. So I think many SAns will get some central African percentage. Too bad Ancestry or 23andMe do not ship to SA so that we could use that company
