If you don't play with a character named Jetstream Sam you have to beat Yharon first which is one of the last bosses.

Well yeah, but that's mostly because he is using the Murasama ineffectively. Murasama with Demonshade armor has 10k-11k dmg. There's loads of different accessories in Calamity that give you massive damage buffs when you get hit

Fun fact, in a normal calamity playthrough i just "VERY CASUALLY" do astrum deus before any mech boss, and do yharon before the lunatic cultist. I'm just you're average calamity player. not a speedrunner.

Astrum and ML keep kicking my ass in a true melee run through. Idk what to do. Props to you I guess lmao
