I particularly enjoy your Heronbrook videos, an old mukka of mine fishes the Tues Vets and Thursday Costcutters so I like to see the venue. Nice to see he's not the only one who chucks his gear in there - mind you, all the stuff he knocks in sinks!
Great match Dave and not a bad weight. To say you've been on the canals your casting was spot on with method and nice rod to great action it got those carp out of the snags. Brillant video and commentary as usual keep them coming Dave tight lines. 🎣🎣👍
Really enjoyed watching this one Dave and a couple of nice tips. Personally I was impressed with how tidy the peg looked at the start but normal service was resumed by the end with gear every where. Keep them coming from the shandy drinker
Them Davidson brothers are machines fished against them many times never beat them yet but came close a few times. I called it as soon as you mentioned the name dave that it would be maggots or caters
I usually take a bag of match method mix for edge fishing, these are 2 kg bags. I wouldn't expect to use all of that though and will prep half the bag to start with. As for maggots, i rarely kill them! I leave live maggots bagged up, if i want them to stay dormant I'll open the bag straight into a tub of water, it stops them coming round. Then if i want to use live maggots, I'll open the bag to let them come round. How long it takes for bagged maggots to come round depends on how long they have been bagged up.
A place i go to over last year from off been catching down margins in summer all the way till the end of match needing 150lb to 300lb and gbait dead reds started doing well there just need to practice it my self
I've entered loads of them over the years. I only stopped entering when the draws started to be done the night before, during covid! I will be entering more in the future, once the draws are all done on the day of the match.
Has this idiot never heard of regional accents? If you had been brought up in Liverpool, Manchester, or other areas it would reflect in your accent. That said another good video.
Fantastic Dave great match

Good video Dave nice draw ,and keeped it simple, can have to meany options, well fished ,and you got ya specs back mate 😁
No, those were still my old glasses. It's not so bad when you're banding pellets or sticking maggots on big hooks!
Got them back now though😁

Another good video Dave no holds barred showing all your methods, do you not use expanders Dave
I will use expanders when needed mate, don't think it's cold enough yet though.
When your fishing gbait and dead mags down edge how many pints of mags do you take and how much gbait

Holy shit Dave, I thought you had that sewn up. A masterclass all the same! Why do you never enter the big money events, too busy on the canals??
I've entered loads of them over the years. I only stopped entering when the draws started to be done the night before, during covid!
