I stopped all things Disney. I consider Disney insidiously evil.
Disney are evil and it's not even a new thing, they always been evil, but you know- as a small and growing company, they could only show glimpses of their evil while forced to dish out actually good content so they can get money. in the last decade or 2 they became such a huge and profitable corporation, that they finally felt comfortable enough to show their evil in a much more obvious way, and they almost don't get if they lose millions over any project or show they make, as long as that project reflects their evil messages to the crowds.

True. Made all the sadder by how good they used to be. Growing up with Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King and Toy Story makes me sad that my children only have crap to look forward to. Although they don't because I won't let them watch it.. sad though

The funniest part to me is how it’s the bad guys respecting the pronouns of the person they’re trying to kill 😂
Yehh, it’s like the Babylon Bee sketch of the devil promoting pronouns.
I don't think it's that funny actually. Their brains are warped with this nonsense. For them there is no other option than to use those pronouns. Also, it's used for a non human species. They could be genderless like angels.
Yeah, if a genocidal inquisitor can respect someone’s pronouns, so could you.
Same situation but on a different subject, Dead by Daylight is making majority of their characters part of the LGBT community. Which you would think would piss them off because it is a horror game where one player kills four others.

The Jedi lost to Sidious because Yoda was too LIBERAL and allowed the Jedi order to ‘evolve’ into something it was NEVER supposed to be - warriors. The Jedi were always supposed to be PEACEKEEPERS, _NOT_ WARRIORS!!
Palpatine/sidious was using the Jedi for his expansionist war of control (aka the 'clone wars) to reel in corporations under a national banner (like what the communists did to private businesses in Russia). The jedi, and Yoda, should have known better then to be involved in that silly war. A fact which Yoda himself admitted as being his ‘greatest mistake''

What’s wrong with non binary characters? In what way does that hurt the story.
@@shrubsangrynobody cares about these characters. The problem is the writers have absolutely no idea what they are doing. And when you focus so much on your characters diversity instead of the actual story, you end up with a mediocre show. Lets also not forget their dialogue is bad, the special effects be it cgi or fight choreography is abysmal, the lore/in-universe consistency is more broken than Britney Spears, the acting is downright cringe unless they bring back veteran actors who usually are the ones doing all the work to carry the show.

@@lawrencetalbot8346 exactly, something of which these clowns can't seem to comprehend, there's nothing wrong with diversity in a increasingly diverse world, but when your entire marketing scheme and writing focuses so heavily on the diversity instead of the actual story, then you have a problem and recipe for poor content, and surprise surprise, everything coming out of Disney these days is just that, poor content with the most elementary writing and stories.

Talk about the butchering of language, in the clip I thought the Jedi was talking about a group of people, not an individual. What a sad mess.

The Fallout series also jammed in a "non binary" (read: short haired lesbian) character for no reason. The Ripley series on Netflix destroyed an iconic character by casting a "transman" for what is supposed to be a womanising male. These characters are jarring and disrupt the immersion of the series, but the producers don't give a freak.

So sad as I’m a huge fan of the original Star Wars trilogy. The whole woke agenda being pushed on Disney+ was the reason we cancelled our subscription.

Just learn to separate fact from fiction. I didn't ask for a single remake or sequel to all the great stuff of the past and spend no time browsing modern TV or Film. I occasionally can stomach some stuff but that feels like 10 years ago. The internet just made everything worse from a consumer's POV.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, Star Wars didn't suck giraffe balls
I noticed this when I saw it a few days ago. In the story the Jedi who's killed is only known to the person for a few minutes...'they' never told the person 'their' pronouns. So Disney threw it in specifically to be woke. It wasn't even part of the narrative.
I love Star Wars since the early 80s. When I turned on this new show I couldn’t get through 5 minutes when I noticed this is just propaganda not Star Wars
One of the most ridiculous things in Star Wars now, as far as how things work, is how getting wrecked by a light saber is now just a minor inconvenience. They can’t just destroy our beloved characters anymore, now they have to make all the stakes of any fight even smaller
That scene really confused me because it made me think there were other Jedi hiding out in the mountains. The characters kept referring to 'they' but showed only one Jedi.
Personally, it wouldn't surprise me if that particular scene is supposed to confuse certain people. Ever heard of the concept of "social engineering"? It's where people creating a piece of entertainment, whether it's a film, TV show, video game, or something else, sneak in some subtle propaganda to trick people, especially children, into adopting the ideological beliefs or talking points of the people creating the entertainment in question. What these people do is they put the propaganda into the piece of entertainment, but they put it in a context that's just ambiguous enough that you won't suspect that the propaganda is actually there. This is how they can trick little children into adopting the ideological thinking that the creators of the show want the children to adopt. So in the case of this clip from the new Star Wars show, the folks at Disney set the scene up and has the villain who killed the "non-binary" jedi use that jedi's pronouns, but they write the dialogue in a way so that you might mistakenly think that the villain is referring to other jedi in the story when really it's supposed to refer to the "non-binary" jedi the villain just eliminated. Through this, the innocent child watching this show will absorb the woke propaganda that Disney wants the child to absorb, potentially converting the child into adopting the woke ideology promoted by the show, all without you even noticing unless you were paying very close attention to what the show is actually saying and doing. Basically, it's a technique that some entertainment companies use to indoctrinate people into adopting certain ideologies. It's very sneaky and evil!
Mind you, this animated show was created to tell the more female oriented side of Star Wars… because the 15 other female led films, shows, books and games were not enough apparently.
It’s become genuinely laughable. Like when I watched the full trailer for the Dykolyte, the sheer effort the extend to avoid any white men in anything other than the most pathetic of positions is comical at this point.
I also find it interesting that Disney has decided if the pull out the droids and the strange creatures, if they just put in dozens of diverse humans, it will look just as alien.
I never had a problem with women in anything but now it's become so shoved in your face it's sickening and beyond ridiculous. Disney Star Wars truly is dumb.

I will disagree with the statement that there has been no good star wars content since the original trilogy. There's a reason that the Mandalorian was so popular even for non-star wars fans (at least for the first two seasons), because at the root it was a simple story of a lonely man finding purpose and a sort of family through taking on and caring for a vulnerable child. It had all the elements of the old westerns and traditional storytelling that made those movies classics that people still enjoy. The frustrating part is that the same people who made it didn't get the hint that those are the kinds of stories people want and continued with their woke garbage.

I've been asking the same thing about Star Trek. The sad truth is that Hollywood is utterly indoctrinated with woke ideology. I will always love pre Disney Star Wars and keep watching it until my dying day. But this franchise has been destroyed.
Fan fiction can never destroy anything. The current owner of the IP can't remove history, as much as they try. If only one company had the ability to make chocolate now and decided to make it taste like raw liver - that wouldn't change my love of the chocolate I grew up with - I just ignore the present.
The only thing I regret is that 100 years from now when future historians are openly mocking the stupidity of the current "woke era" they might mistakenly assume that someone like me who unfortunately lived at the same time as the "woke" people may have actually been one of them. Just because we're alive in 2024 doesn't make all of us de facto woke collaborators - a few of us are still sane for the time being.
I love this. 🤣 Even if I'm dead, the last thing I want anyone to think was that I agreed with those losers.
No one will prob remember you so nothing to worry about 😂
@@ishwar5936 The point was that future historians will likely conclude that EVERYONE living during this time was insanely stupid, including you. 😜
@@josephstrickland830 i was just joking man, i'm on your side 😅
It's sad to see the downfall of star wars (i'm a really big star wars fan)....first that pink hair lady in the last jedi and now this...i hope we as a society will get back on track
The problem with the remaining Star War audience is that they don't see the politics since they're apolitical to begin with, and have bad taste when it comes to storytelling.
The restaurant analogy with maybe good food in your youth but dog vomit for yrs, being served by overlords who despise you and DARE you to critique their abysmal offerings is truly Hollywood and Disney to a T.
Star Wars hasn't been bad for decades. Some old people just have nostalgia bias for the first trilogy. Yes, the dialogue in the prequels was cringey, but they were also fun, creative, and had some of the most iconic lines, characters, fights and overall best moments in Star wars' history.
The games and tv shows that spawned from the Clone Wars era alone were some of the best of the franchise. And this generation, with the budget and technology we have COULD have been great, if they were made about a decade earlier. But instead, got hijacked by "tHe FoRcE iS fEmAlE" crowd and got infested with DEI.
Remember your words when you are old - it will happen to you - the disrespect from the young while they enjoy the labor you put forth all your life.
Yes, yes, yes. I grew up on SW and I have always loved it. Always wanted to share it with my child but I'm not doing that now. She knows that Star Wars exists but that is where it ends. We don't watch it nor talk about it here. It's dead to us.
There is no alternative. Everything that Hollywood puts out is trash. We have to select something to watch so we choose something that is least trash among the pile.
So has misgendering someone actually became a sin worse than death now?
Matt, you really need to interview Nerdorotic on this subject
star wars did not go woke... star wars ended in 1983... *looks at everything that came afterward* 1983!
The prequels were most defintiely not woke... just poorly and awkwardly written compared to the originals
Just going to ignore all the fantastic novels, games, prequel movies, and rogue one movie made since then
Clone wars...
@@Tomfoolery1972 Prequels were good but flawed and same goes with Rouge one. Rouge one was a epic movie. It went started to go woke when "Sequels" came out. Prequels had very epic and intense moments.
I was so confused when I watched this the first time. I was like, “They? Who is the other one? Is there another Jedi I didn’t see?” And then it hit me. 🤦🏻♂️
The Fallout series did the same thing, which to my surprise no one seems to be talking about. Admittedly it was a good show, but that one thing really stood out to me.
We are supposed to be believe that the Brotherhood of Steel, a brutal militaristic organisation, which treats it's lower ranking members as disposable cannon fodder, really cares about pronouns and will refer to a recruit as "they", while otherwise turning a blind eye to bullying and beatings among those recruits. Really?
Like I needed one at this point.
I watched the tales of the empire over the weekend and in the context of the episode I heard the they/them as referring to all of the remaining jedi that the two characters were hunting! I had no idea that the character was supposed to be non binary until I saw this video
"X-wings."
"Forming on your right flank, sir."
"A-wings."
"Bringing up the rear, sir."
"Left-wings."
"Already on the offensive, sir."
It got bought by Disney so no more needs to be said
I don’t need any other reasons
Im absolutely sick and tired of the woke dumpster fire that disney has made of the star wars universe.
It's so sad to see
The majority of viewers will be kids
Imagine their confusion watching a scene like this... Thinking they're talking about multiple people
It's just not fair... Really needs to be stopped
Because it’s none of your business what I watch. That’s why.
When my cousin and I were watching this, this took us out of it. It's so forced and out there, you know? It sounds so clunky.
Edit: upon watching more, another uncommon L take from Walsh. Yes, Disney Star Wars has been churning out some content with leftist ideology (I don't pay attention to most of it) but there are still people working at/for Lucasfilm who still care for putting out good SW content. It's there! The games, the books, some comics, shows, etc. Obviously, someone like Matt doesn't know about it. It's not his thing and that's okay. But to not acknowledge how amazing the ot is is ridiculous. SW changed cinema. Hell, it changed the world.
The killing blow was retconning Luke and Anakin Skywalker as bisexual characters. First they put it on the Wiki and when fans called them out on it as there was no evidence for this in the lore, they just penned a few stories to make it canon. Yeah, right.
I was dozing off as that scene played out and I was thinking "wait a minute, there are two Jedi? Where's the other one?" and then "Ohhhhh..."
This is why the sith exists
Star Wars is dead - old fans are gone and not coming back…normies are apathetic…all that’s left is the woke activist and they have no money
I just don't get why Disney thinks pronouns matter in a galaxy far far away. I used to watch Star Wars to escape the real world for an hour or two. Not to get reminded of this crap we have to put up with everyday.
This a joke !!!!!!!....they and them are plural...this ignorant bullshit needs to STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Naw don’t drag the prequels into this, they’re not the greatest cinematic masterpieces but they are majestic in other ways
