NIO has also high fixed costs of ownership. In Europe people has to pay 2000 € per year for the small battery rent. Many won’t consider a NIO due to the high costs of ownership.
NIO needs to focus more on entertainment in the vehicles because a lot of people are family oriented and want to have their family entertainment experiences on the road. I know my family and I do and we are in the United States. Families worldwide all want the same thing and NIO better learn how to adapt quick or their future what be soo bright..
Great video. I would say I prefer NIO head pillow which can be adjusted. Just that its best able to lock after adjustment. Coz not everyone head will lie exactly there as in Li Auto. I would use it as neck support instead with NIO head pillow. NIO car is good but its price is not competitive enough for mass market. They need to look into this.
Mr. P, I have to disagree with most of what you say but I think that big horizontal screen is a factor because lots of people like to be on the TV all the time. Price is also a factor because LI is still several grand cheaper on average compare to the current NIO price. I think that the gasoline extender is another factor. Such a large SUV, it can drain the battery very quickly so it's very convenience to have a gasoline extender, especially gas stations are everywhere. NIO does not have swap stations everywhere but you can see that most of NIO customers are surrounding the swap stations. I believe that the 800V charging platform will change all that.

Dude, then you will get massive car sick! The reason Liauto got screens in the car is because it vibrates the same frequency with the vehicle, so you don't get car sick.
Li's products are what consumers want. Nio's products are what tech team want. dollar for dollar, Li provides so much bettet value than Nio. there is no comparison. with regard to range extender vs bev, the thing is many people prefer range extender. majority of people don't drive more than 100km a day. the electric range of Li is more than enough. they just charge overnight at home. and if you get on a long trip, a range extender is still more convenient than a bev at the moment. it is only for those who cannot charge at home, bev makes more senses than a range extender.

Regarding the problems you mentioned, firstly, the problem with this "pillow", it seems to me that it can be fixed with glue or something. Regarding the screens and the lidar, in my opinion, an option should be given in both cases, especially LIDAR, which is a very expensive technology, you can do as with Tesla. (Although I think it's a really unwise choice, and in the long run it's more than worth it, but it's better to give options. We are all waiting for the first autonomous cars. Then everyone will see what added value it is for the company. Of course, it should be possible to buy a car without lidar, if you can't use it yet. Nio makes nice cars, but their price is a bit too high

Even the nio manager said he would buy this if he was living in his hometown… I’m not trying to defend li auto, but you guys just making an excuse and calling it a hybrid… overlooks a ton of things

I still think the world will be changed in the next couple of months when EC6 and ALPS are available on the market. Extended range cars have huge benefits in China but to me every inch of Nio cars' interior is much much better than Li's. Nio is Porsche's class and Li is big moving toy for Chinese with big screen and sofa. Can't see any strength in the interior design. It just the preference of the people.

But customers are choosing to go for li auto instead of nio, and nio needs to fight back, get those customers back, Es7 deliveries tanked when the L9 and L8 came out… I got multiple nio sales reps to test drive the L7 and they were amazed by it, and these are just some suggestions for nio to improve deliveries, li auto deliveries 4c that of nio’s
Great breakdown of the comparisons of the L7 & what they're doing to be successful in the market.. To me they do look to offer an excellent product at a good price it seems.. Always wondered how US & other regulators would react to Li Auto's massive screens in the front seat in plain view of the driver!! This could be a sticking point IMHO.. Big police push here about distracted drivers & cell phones.. How distracted would a driver be with a massive screen playing a movie, UA-cam, or music video?? In the US they sue for almost anything.. This could be looked upon as a huge no no, instead as a huge benefit of having a massive screen in the front seat?? What's next? Li auto is mass market. NIO is not. You can't compare sales numbers of the two. I know people who can't afford it wasn't a NIO, but don't bash them to try to get them to drop their prices. It's not going to happen.
AR glasses is the wrong direction. You have a billions of large screen tvs in the world. Maybe a few thousand AR glasses in the world. NIO has the saddest smallest screens for EVs.
The Google foldable phone is probably bigger than the NIO screens. Cannot believe NIO has become a dinosaur after the batter swap. LI auto took the NIO living room concept car, and made it a reality. Do you really want so many screens in your car? I really don't want NIO brand to go that style, considering the impact to kid, safety, comfortableness (watching movie when car is running up and down?! To me, definitely No). I would like NIO can spend more resources/money on something really matters, like safety, control system, motor and etc. NIO's sub brand probably can be similar to Li Auto's car.
Screens can be turned off when you are driving. Are you using your phone when driving just because you have it? Are you saying you did prefer a blackberry screen when using a phone because a bigger smartphone screen is distracting when talking?

nio doesn't manufacture enough cars for buyers. Tesla has more cars than buyers and Nio has less cars than buyers and that's the issue
