Love the series again. Probably the best out of the 12-15 books I’ve read or listened to by you. My only complaint is the ending. The best part of the whole series, during the excitement of the endgame, left at a few short scenes. Totally heartbreaking, I had waited that long to see the battle between two Goliaths and nope! 😢That said I truly hope that the void hunter will see life in a continuation one day. I have personally drawn a lot of inspiration from this one for my DnD games. But man, this one left me feeling let down a little. Oh well. Still a fantastic journey

Dear James, thank you so much for this trilogy. While it took me a little time to get into the first book, I was soon hooked. As always, great entertainment and you certainly create fantasy at its best. I keep saying that you've got an easy way of writing and telling stories. What I mean is that there isn't anything like (exaggerating here) a whole book introducing this character and another book introducing that character. You manage to simply get started and at a steady pace everything develops along the way. I like that a lot. Not that I dislike other forms but yours is just so easy to "digest" and to get immersed. And I do love the many funny bits all across your works ^^ You're among my favourite authors by now. I am not going to mention them so nobody will be "misdirected" away from your channel :) Now I can finally continue with your newly released Portal Wars. Can't wait, as they say :) Take care and have a splendid day :)
Are there plans for books for the main characters? I need to know more about Bobby and blades, shara, dectari, and believe it or not that little goblin.
Eventually I hope to write another series called The Voidhunters, that will have all the characters you mentioned in it. But that will be down the road a ways.
Do the adventures of Shara, Daktari, Blade and Robert end with this book? Or do you plan a sequel trilogy? I've grown so fond of these characters and can't wait to get more of them. You are an amazing writer, James. Good luck!
I did have a sequel series planned, but The Divine Key Trilogy sold so poorly I decided to just move on to new projects. Glad to hear you enjoyed the series.
@@JamesEWisherbooks So sad to hear you won't be working on the series... the universe really unique... if only it gains a sudden momentum to bring us a sequel... good luck with your next projects... ❤️
Y'know, it's not fair we only get one life. I want to be a pirate, AND an explorer, AND a royal, AND a magician, AND Blade (we all wanna be Blade), etc. Also? I'm not a fan of sultan type fantasy, but your use of magic kept me hooked, and that's saying something considering the disappointment after i finished The Portal Wars. I like to imagine that takes place in the same universe, just a different "world" (as mentioned through this series)
That's the great thing about being a writer. I get to live all those lives vicariously. It does take place in the same universe, all my books are set it in.
Do you have a map of the world you created? I'd be happy to give it a try. I think maybe it would help with visualization. The key would be to pay attention to your worldly descriptions. Hmmm. Possible..maybe if I find time
Hey James, just finished all 3 of your books in this series back and back. I thoroughly enjoyed the overall story and wanted to give some honest feedback. I want you to know thos comes from a place of love,. admiration and respect as I'd be interested in checking out more pf your work in the future. I may misspell some character names as I've only heard them so please forgive me. Without further delay, here is my feedback: Book 1: Awesome story, shadow magic is a cool concept and I loved the evil villian. The journey of Shara back to her home was my favorite part along with the introduction of several (not all of the characters). Kent and his story could have used more development and follow up (in future books also) but its okay. 8/10 Book 2: Different kind of story than book 1 but equally as good in my opinion. The individual journeys of Robert, Shara and Duktari were amazing and also Duktari's transition to a good guy. However, the goblin and Saladin were weak villians and that overall hurt the book in my opinion. Shara could have also used some more character development. Also 8/10 Book 3: Unfortunately, this one wasnt good and felt... random. The void and the demon were very one note. Blade also was very one dimensional. She loves fights and that's her character always and nothing else. Duktari's character growth also halted and he now all of a sudden was a good guy without much hesitation and everyone seemed to forgive him poisoning and killing how many others. Random pirates who die in random spots was the worst part of the story in my opinion. Nord was super one dimensional and the goblin ended up being more important than Nord so what was the point of even setting up Nord as a major villian. Still a decent end to the story. 6/10 Overall: Great series with some great characters and world building. Will be checking out more of your books in the future after I listen to some other writers for a change of pace. Keep up the great work! Regards, Noor
Huh, this was a fun ride. Took me a bit longer to finish this book due to a lack of time. But totally worth it. Is there, by any chance a longer story about goblins?
I'm glad you enjoyed the series. I have no plans for a longer story about the goblins at the moment. But I never say never as you never know where the muse might take you.
@@JamesEWisherbooks What will be, will be. But I will definitely check the rest of your books... will need to make some space on my bookshelf first, or get another shelf. ;)
I must say I wasn't real impressed with the first book. It was enjoyable. However the character role switch in the 2nd blew me away and completely changed my opinion. Here I thought things would be predictable. You sir are a very very gifted. This series has more meat to it then I had first surmised. May your pen never run out of ink! P.S. how long is this series?
I never decided how they related to each other exactly in the time line since they're all on different worlds. It's safe to assume they're happening at roughly the same time.
I finished book two moments ago and I'm just starting this one. I've also finished Death and Honor. This question is simple curiosity. Both books never once used conventional bows. It's always crossbows and I'm wondering why. My two theories are, the smuck factor. You don't have to explain where a character gained their skill with a conventional bow. A crossbow by comparison is pretty straight forward, if glacially slow. Second, characters being too powerful if they could let fly with 5-6 arrows a minute.
@@JamesEWisherbooks Agreed, I'm pretty deadly with a slingshot, at least to game birds, but that took more than a year and a lot of sore knuckles. I'm pulling maybe 15 pounds. Bow training is essentially strength training. Start with a weak bow and work your way up as you get stronger. You don't need any more than a 70lb draw for hunting. For knocking holes in armor, 120 plus is about right and it take a toll pretty quick.
Mythral (idk how to spell) the same material the portals are made of in the portal wars saga. It’s possible the portals in this trilogy are made of the same metal meaning it’s possible the portals where made to allow the connection between them. Hmmmmm
Mithril is a magical metal found through out my fantasy universe, though it is fairly rare. As to the portal secrets, mums the word. I don't want to spoil anything that might come up in a future book.
Not a bad story, however IMHO the last 2 feel like short stories rather that novel 2 and 3. Had a clipped feel, and a bit heavy on the " lucky fate" armor.
Started with the portal wars saga, then soul bound and finally the divine key trilogy. You are truly an incredible writer to have created such immersive stories. I wonder what’s next for me. Keep up the amazing work!

Please please write a series where your main characters from different worlds meet . . . I'm imagining an epic wizard duel with Otto and Daktari 🤩🤩🤩
I don't think they would fight much. They have a lot in common
Id rather see a co op where they team up and are both tested to the fullest
Otto meeting up with Daktari and that dude form the Sould bound saga would be epic. But I think Otto would beat both of them hands down.
I have it on good authority that Otto wouldn't stand a chance against Daktari. But can you imagine them as allies, seeking magic together?!?
@steveward1447 time flows differently on the different planets, I think. You can never tell who's older and the fact that Arcane lords traveled the universe at will. Do you have a map of the world you created? I'd be happy to give it a try. I think maybe it would help with visualization. The key would be to pay attention to your worldly descriptions. Hmmm. Possible..maybe if I find time
I don't have a map at the moment.
Without further delay, here is my feedback:
Book 1: Awesome story, shadow magic is a cool concept and I loved the evil villian. The journey of Shara back to her home was my favorite part along with the introduction of several (not all of the characters). Kent and his story could have used more development and follow up (in future books also) but its okay. 8/10
Book 2: Different kind of story than book 1 but equally as good in my opinion. The individual journeys of Robert, Shara and Duktari were amazing and also Duktari's transition to a good guy. However, the goblin and Saladin were weak villians and that overall hurt the book in my opinion. Shara could have also used some more character development. Also 8/10
Book 3: Unfortunately, this one wasnt good and felt... 6/10
Overall: Great series with some great characters and world building. Will be checking out more of your books in the future after I listen to some other writers for a change of pace. Keep up the great work!
Regards,
Noor
Huh, this was a fun ride. Took me a bit longer to finish this book due to a lack of time. But totally worth it.
Is there, by any chance a longer story about goblins?
I'm glad you enjoyed the series. I have no plans for a longer story about the goblins at the moment. But I never say never as you never know where the muse might take you.

What will be, will be.
But I will definitely check the rest of your books... will need to make some space on my bookshelf first, or get another shelf. ;)
I appreciate the support. I'll be uploading more audiobooks here too.
It's a trilogy, so 3 books.
Daktari , the baddest character in the whole series. Not the most powerful yet feared by all.His thirst and quest for power reminds me of OTTO!
I am grateful for and have enjoyed your books. I see there is a thank you money button on here do you get all of that money if I donate?
If you use the PayPal link in the description I do. If you use the thank you button on the video UA-cam takes a bit.
Again, very well done!
Portal wars, Soul Bound and this one are all in the same universe, right?
How much time between each epic tale has passed?
Since they're all set on different worlds, the time difference is hard to nail down exactly so I didn't really try.
I have a weird question. Are all the stories happening at the same time in your universe or at different points in time?
Ease of use for sure. Not everyone has years to train with the long bow.

Hmmmmm
How interesting
Is that the secret usage of the portals the arcane lord didnt want otto to discover?
Mithril is a magical metal found through out my fantasy universe, though it is fairly rare. As to the portal secrets, mums the word. I don't want to spoil anything that might come up in a future book.
Not a bad story, however IMHO the last 2 feel like short stories rather that novel 2 and 3. Had a clipped feel, and a bit heavy on the " lucky fate" armor.
OK srsly .. she gets kidnapped more than that kid in yughio
I think it highlights her purity. I feel the hint was only a pure soul can be the key bearer

Soooo where the spin off James ik u got one lol
I actually did have a spinoff planned, but this series sold so poorly that I decided not to write it.
@@JamesEWisherbooks well that understandable maybe if they where to listen to it with the voice the voice just sells it
