Pains me to re-upload this but the opening cutscene was bugged out. All good now A much improved run of my previous recording from half a decade ago. This one features sharper graphics, better lightning (can actually see the dungeon areas now) and overall better gameplay. The routing is still very much the same as it was really optimized. This game is HARD. The first area starts off as pretty easy but the difficulty ramps up like crazy.. and with most stages taking around 20-30 minutes, you’re going to be re-doing it all from the start many times lol. A lot of this game is trial and error. You’re gonna have to learn where certain enemies spawn, where to find certain vehicles, where to find health upgrades or ammo, etc. The difficulty isn’t just in the game itself, it’s also in how old it is. There’s a lot of issues with the terrain for example. You might park your car somewhere only to see it roll down a cliff into the river, or get your plane stuck between two hills and unable to be retrieved. Nonetheless, the concept of the game is awesome and when you finally make it to the next save point you feel really accomplished. This is actually a GTA-precursor. It’s made by Rockstar. Fortunately a pretty popular fact, but I thought I’d mention it anyway
You have to put your name as 'ICHEAT' in the game save file before you can enter cheats. Then, you have to enter certain button combinations and a message will pop up at the bottom of the screen upon completion, IIRC.
It took me more than two years of recurrent play to realise that one can enter the starting ship. Also, I can't believe how many times that 'Alpha 1' vehicle dropped to a dot of health only to be saved at the last second by health or a boss death!
Same. Me and my two brothers played this as kids. Took us a longtime to figure out how to lower the bridge in the beginning and that you can go back into the ship but we had a blast playing 😂
2:52:59 The reaction I had when I was playing GTA Vice City and I hear THAT Chime threw me back to this moment when I was a kid, playing this game. Oh man.
That's literally what came here for... and while I never played this, it's Funny how I personally feel like the Jingle is out of place in this game, bc we're all so used to hearing it in the GTA Games😂😂
My dad hooked up the n64 to both the downstairs and upstairs tv when i was a 3 yearold in 2001 (still don't know how the f he managed to do that back then). He would play mario64 downstairs and I'd watch from my bed before going to sleep, he was the first streamer ever lol. One night he booted up this game and I started crying over that jumping black alien boss from 37:42 and yelling KILL THE SPIDERR DAD!!! Was up the whole night scared as fuck
2:52:59 Never would've thought the Mr. Woopee Jingle Sound Effect started off in a Non GTA Game🤯 Pretty Interesting Hidden Trivia👍 And the Jingle feel like it doesn't fit in this game (probably bc I never played or heard of this tbf)🤣 *SOOOOO* used to hear in the 3D Universe GTA Games😂😂🤦♂️
I know that this is already 6 months old, yet I must say that this video encourages me to go through the campaign of this game again, which I consider a great gem. By the way, if a remake of this game were to come out, would you play it? I ask because there might be a channel on UA-cam making a remake of this game 👀✨
Loved this game as a kid. In case anyone is wondering why the vehicles warp crazily to the side when he turns, it's because he is using a modern day controller rather than a N64 controller.
On the comet level if you get out of your vehicle, all your standard weapons are upgraded to futuristic versions - the default pistol shoots a laser, if you had a rocket launcher, it now shoots spheres of electricity, i believe machine gun shoots rockets...if i recall.
The controller for the Nintendo 64 after looking back on it like after how long it just looks weird. But the Nintendo 64 was popular so was the PlayStation. I had both the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 they both were great as a kid I have a lot of good memories The nostalgia will never ever go away.
Decided to play the game after watching a bit of this longplay cause it looks sick for N64, but I have to ask you, what emulator (if any) was used for this playthrough? The game mostly works fine for me but the intro runs at almost double the speed that it does here. Thanks for the time if you read this!
27:00 i remember my dpad not working so i didn´t knew i can change weapons and instead i always used the yellow car to jump to the water the far i could and then swim to the boss
I loved this game as a kid. As a lifelong military history fan I loved the Java WWII level the most. Its probably number 1 on my wish list for a remake/sequel. Right next to Ring of Red for the PS2!
Very impressive. Now beat the game on Hero difficulty whilst collecting all weapon crystals and alien artifacts, and whilst achieving zero civilian deaths.
Also, for whatever reason, on the PAL version of the game, you have Zero difficulty instead of Easy, the only difference being that you can't progress past America once you beat the level boss. So, you had to play on Hero to beat the whole game.
I remember talking to a friend awhile back and being like I swear they got the halo idea from this shit but I couldn’t remember the game so I could explain how it was some dude and aliens and you’d get into a car and guns
@@longplayarchive Camera movement speeds. Vehicles are incredibly jerky. The actual cart I have no idea what it was running at but probably like 20 frames or less.
@@holidayinn4293 Thanks. I think both of those are caused by my controller sensitivity being set to 200%. I didn’t realize it until later. Might re-do this in the future as it’s looking unnatural now

THANK YOU!
Holy shit bro I never knew it was a Rockstar game until 10min ago. I never made it past the bridge at the first level. Game creeped me out as a kid 😂
You used cheats for this run?
No, we dont do that over here

This game is one of my all time favourites.

I’m glad to read I wasn’t the only kid traumatized by this game 😂
The EDF would be proud.
I was scared of this game when i was young
You too?!
Bruh.. me too
Just played this game last week and finished it..... nothing to be scared of ladies.
The game music creeped me out when I was a kid

The same people that made this game also worked on GTA. This is where they got the inspiration for GTA 3

The way the cars move almost sideways lmao
I played this game when I was 7 and I thought Samus was the main character.

This was one of my favs growing up! Would 100% everyone once in a while. Hard to emulate the game tho so gotta bust out the n64 to play it.
Awesome. This game gets pretty fun when you know all the locations for powerups and weapons and whatnot
Freaking phenominal Sir. Thank you so much.

this game needs either a PC port, remaster on Steam, or to be added to the switch n64 lineup.

Sorry if its too late but some emulators dont have a fps limit and it makes the game run faster than normal
Wait a minute, didn't you already post a video of this game?

This game should get a remaster and remake
It does appear that an infinite health code was used.
I’ve been wanting to play this game again so bad. I never got a chance to beat it. My 64burnt had burnt out and I never got another one.
I beat this game. VERY hard.

How did you do to Emulate the game? The physic engine normally has a lot of glitches

Better gameplay than hellblade 2
The solar shield is the best weapon and you just ignored it :c

20:39 how do you climb this!? I tried some medium vehicle and the bike even and no dice
Does he play the full game because there’s another one that’s an hour and seven minutes this is six hours why?
The other one could be a speed run
Somebody beat it that quick? Must be using a lot of gamebreaking exploits for that lol
I just laugh watching the vehicles turn.
Long play of the body Harvest [HD] 6:08:00 2:06:00 6/3/23..😝👍💌🙊
Nevee could reach the second level
Looks like the emulation is serviceable but definitely far from perfect.
What do you notice is wrong? I have a non-emulated version up too
