I expected Lakers to sign Christie to a 4-year ~$25M. $32M is quite a bit more, and player option is essentially a non-trade clause. Makes it less of a bargain, but still reasonably team-friendly.

I have a bad feeling that the Lakers are once again going to miss out on filling out the roster with good rotational players by trying to focus on getting big names like Brook Lopez and Klay. At this point, Grant is the best two-way player available on the trade market, and I think they should also consider trading with the Wizards for Kuz and Brogdon. I’m a bigger fan of aggregating assets to get more than just one player on an unfavorable contract like Grant’s. For anyone saying the lakers “need” to get a center. They can pick one up at the trade deadline. There isn’t anyone out there that is worth getting and moving Bron to the 3. Plus, any center they get now will not be playing more than 15-20min. So why spend your assets on one now?
I’m not sure but I don’t think the Lakers are allowed to trade 2 vet minimum contracts to 1 team with the new CBA. Still possible with multiple trades, but not with 1 I think.
They need to get rid of Vincent, he’s currently in a bad contract and he’s not living up to it.. maybe also trade Rui for someone better. They just need to get rid of someone so they can sign a player form free agency
Lopez for Rui+Hayes+Reddish is a perfect trade. Lopez literally equals to them, combined. Age-wise, too, unfortunately.
That Brook Lopez trade is perfect but he might be too old.
Looks like they’ll need to trade, and unfortunately it will most likely involve some fan favorites. Cam, Hayes, DLo, Vincent, Wood, and Rui are the only trade options they have.
Only thing we really need is 2 bigman who can put a body on the centres in the league, so AD can play the 4 again

People around the team are saying Klay is leaning more towards Mavs over Lakers. Mavs already have space cleared whereas the Lakers still need to dump a few salaries. This isn't a big deal in a nut shell but all things considered, Mavs are ahead in that regard and could even offer more for him than the Lakers
A player like grant doesn’t need to be spot up in the corner. He needs time be fed through ball. Lebron should take a backseat and play off of AD and Grant if we acquire him.

So let me summarize it all:
We punted the 2023-2024 season by standing pat at the trade deadline and basically gave up on a championship run to be able to have three FRP in the offseason in order to make a big move. And the big move is a washed Klay, a washed Brook Lopez or an overpaid Jerami Grant ?

I'd keep Hachi instead of Dlo. And get rid of Woods and Reddish. Would rather Spence over Gabe. Austin and Bron and Spence can play the PG position. Austin has shown to be able to play off the ball and Spence has shown when he starts he is capable of getting everyone involved and getting buckets. He would be more reliable than Dlo. Only thing is Dlo is an amazing play maker. But if they had to he would be the better one to let go. Rui has shown to be consistent when he is playing HIS position and not have his minutes be confusing. Prince is great off the bench. Jaxe barely made the rotation, but he is a better defender than Wood. If they can get Brook Wood would not be needed and Jax can come in off the bench as an energy guy

Good for LAL because they receive a dynamic, athletic, pure-shooting guard with potential to become their closer and some picks to go with him.

Seeing the lakers roster laid out infront of you like that makes you realize what a weak team they have. Take away LeBron and this team would struggle to win 20 games. No trade they make is going to make much of a difference. There are too many young teams with depth for the lakers to compete.

PG13 is a perfect fit for Sixers/Embid but 💍 wise? Naa. Joel is always injured esp in Playoffs. Joel isn't a leader. PG13 is a Robin in a duo. They need Butler as the Batman for Embid/Sixers 💍 hope.
Knicks Brunson/Bridges/OG/Randle + w/ DD/Hart/Robinson is set to compete for a 💍 against any other Elite teams but w/o a Big/5, Knicks small 🏀isn't going nowhere esp against Celtics/Bucks. They need to have a a bigman to let Randle play at 4. OG at 3, Bridges 2. DD/Hart will play 2-3 in 2nd unit. Lakers didn't go nowhere when they force AD at 5.
Thunder finally add a bigman cause Chet will play against all bigman in the League not just to Wemby who has same body as him but against Lakers/Wolves/Bucks/Sixers /Nuggets, Chet doesn't have a chance. Hartenstein (Knicks lol) is a great addition tho Thunder needs a veteran G/F Iggy type who can defend/shoot help the ball pressure from Shai. Hayward is good but they don't trust him. Warriors? Spalsh Era is over and missed out PG13, they could had him but they wasted lots of time. Warriors need a PG13 type who has O & D. Curry is a leader and he needs a Robin. Since they let go CP3. They should maybe try to convince Klay to stay and trade Wiggins/Moody/Looney+Picks and Green for J.Grant, Smart, Harden and Ayton (soft asf but if he is surrounded by shooters he plays good but he is just too soft).
Nuggets needs to pick up Klay or else gets Smart/Westbrook or Harden if still free. Murray MPJ Gordon Jokic are still the best at their position but they need to fill that shooter ole or KCP and also their bench.
Clippers should get a real PG and a bigman. Harden/Kawhi can still win if healthy but Zu is too slow and getting cooked everytime.
Bulls should blowout their teams. Trade everyone while they still have little value to none.
