I wait every week for these stories, then when they show up I wait until the end of my work out and listen to it while I’m in the sauna. Not the whole thing but the highlight of my Saturday evening. Thank you.
Thank you! I was going to listen to this on Magpie Audio channel, but this is so much better. Thank you for sharing these great classic broadcasts. ❤❤❤❤
The story was inspired by the London murder in 1890 of an art dealer, Charles Augustus Howell. Howell was found dead or dying near a pub in Chelsea with his throat cut and a gold half-sovereign placed in his mouth. He was certainly suspected during his life of using blackmail to obtain financial or business advantage.
Watson doesn't crack the safe, he only stands listening at the door to hear if anyone's coming, like in the original. And Agatha the housemaid is mentioned, although yes they gave her a character and dialogue in this version. :)
Many thanks & HAPPY new year to all who listern 2 this channel 😎👊👍👌✌
Ty and to you. God be with us all in 24 & always. ✝️🙏🏼🕊️💙

Happy New Year!'🎉❤
Happy New Year to you too! 🙂
And justice was served
How many are there and did they ever make new ones
Certainly changed the original story. Watson the safecracker and a saucy housemaid.

Disappointing episode. No where did I experience Sherlock use his means of deduction to solve the case.
