Purchased a 2024 Kia Forte GT Manual this past Saturday with 4.49% APR with the extended 10/100k bumper-to-bumper warranty. I can't imagine a better daily driver to have for the next ten years. The stock exhaust sounds great and it drives very well. On the way back from the dealership, I averaged 39 MPG with a mix of highway, city, and rural backroads. If you can find one, you will not regret pulling the trigger.
@@rayvengatewood5321 do they cover ac . Had a lady tell me her 2021 Kia had an evaporator issue and they didn’t warranty it for her . Scary how fast it goes bad .
i bought mine in jan 2023. i love my car so much. i love that there are not many GTs around. people are surprised when they see my GT because they just assume it’s a basic forte, it’s like an underdog.
2980lbs, 201hp, 195ft.lbs.torque, dual clutch auto with paddle shifters, Harmon Kardon Premium sound system, cooled/heated seats right and left, it also drives itself! That's something few people talk about, along with interior accent lighting, and a ton of extras with the GT2 package. Don't deny yourself with the GT-Line, get the GT2 package, it's awesome.
Test driven this yesterday. It's very nice and is definitely faster than the 2024 civic si. It has no lsd, but it doesn't matter unless you plan on screaming through the corners on a track/canyon. If you don't drive like that, this vehicle is way more than enough to fulfill your sports car needs. I am still able to take tight corners at 50-60mph easily. I asked the sales rep if this car had lsd or not after taking a tight corner at 55 mph. He said it didn't. The performance shocked me. Must get this in manual trans!!!! I ended up getting the 2023 Elantra N manual (it had 2k off the msrp!), but i wouldn't ever regret getting this car over the elantra N. I would be perfectly happy with this car since i don't drift my car (drifting murders your tires). 👌
A few noteworthy things. 1)This is the same engine that was In the Elantra Sport and Elantra GT for like 5 or so years. It has been proven to be one of their best motors reliability wise. 2) IT RUNS 87!! which depending on the gas prices where you are can make a significant difference based on how much you drive (Civic, VW, all run premium) 3)There was a DCT recall so hopefully it was fixed. 4) There is a decent aftermarket parts availability .. I currently own a 2018 Sport with the same motor and it's great.
Test drove the Jetta GLI, Civic SI and the Forte GT all in 6 speed manual. All within 4-k of each-other. I absolutely fell in love with the 2021 Forte GT. It feels so much better off the line, than the SI or GLI. The only thing I did not like was the shifter. Not sure what they were thinking with that. I ended up with the Forte GT. The 5 k I am saving over the others I have gotten a stage 2 cold air intake, a blow off valve , and a short throw shift kit. Im guessing im putting out right at 220HP and I am still 3 grand under the what I would have spent with the other two. This is such a fun commuter/ weekend cruiser, if you are on the fence, don't be this is the one.
I get an average of 6.3sec 0-60, and I've regularly gotten 38.9 mpg on HWY, on my 24' Forte GT2 (DCT), you have 3 options with the DCT, normal auto "D", slap it to the left, and you can use -/+ to shift, or us ethe my fav, the paddles on the steering wheel :D Most of the numbers they quote on this car are made simply using Drive in Auto, and Sport mode, you can knock a second off of it, by knowing when to shift in each gear. It feels far more powerful than it is, and it's not hard to get another 30-50HP with cheap bolt on's. Get the GT2 package, you will not regret it!
Blue is the only one available in my area I need to convinced to take that blue. It contrast too much against the red I feel like :'( leaning toward the Sentra for the looks (and monarch two tone color) alone. It's 3k more expensive and less HP tho :"(
Just looking up this car out of curiosity but my Q50 hybrid sport goes 0-60 in 5.0 seconds and the mpg combined supposed to be 30 but I average 26.3 😅 360 hp also and I can get 360 miles city and 500 miles pure highway out of a full tank. Just crazy that we’re in this 4 cylinder turbo engines and hybrids era.
Just got a silver (not gray) 24 Gt line 2 days ago. So sporty and Sexton. I live in California I guess I'm gonna have to get a Raiders sticker because my car is silver and black.
GT in my market is available for only 26. Same price as the GTLINE trim But its in blue which looks terrible against the red imo. I really want it but will ultimately go witj the sentra sr just on the exterior alone.
@@HawkeyeRides Oh brother, without any courtesy on my part, I am the next new generation 2025 Forte or K4. I did not like the name change or even the shape. It seems that Kia has lost the scope of providing the best.
@@HawkeyeRides OK, for some reason I thought most of Kia/Hyundai products were detuned to 190hp to get better fuel mileage. I have the 2014 Forte5 SX which shared the Veloster Turbo engine.
I like this one, it feels more sporty with out a cvt but both are not something to go crazy on curves 😁. Pricing is also more of a sweet spot as with Acura it will cost more 👍
They are both similar with performance but inside I like the Forte more as it feels more roomy in the front. Not a big fan of drive focus interior in smaller cars if you have options without them.
With all these dangerous ass teslas smashing down the road, a little sedan is a death trap compared to the 3 ton EV, need something big and beefy these days. I’ve been noticing many of the headlining fatalities are in compact vehicles.
Ok, if how sporty a car is is what matters most to you, then the Forte is a good option. That isn't what matters most to me so I have a corolla xse which suits my needs better and over all, in my opinion, is a better car.

This Forte has less than stellar crash safety ratings and nowhere near the reliability of Honda, Toyota, or Mazda. The DCT is not known for longevity and resale value on Fortes is below average.
