I really appreciate getting some background about the farm equipment, why you are raising the pigs indoors and all the little tidbits about the soil and seasons that you are sharing with us. Great presentation. Abby, we know you wouldn’t be out selling drugs… too boring for a bright gal like you. 😁

His comment on the Iowa deer situation changing so much with the impact of of the August 10, 2020 wind storm was very interesting. I have noticed the same thing around the Marion area, fifty miles or so east of his farm. That wind came up so fast it was incredible.

@@ToddFamilyFarm Yup, it blew two of my blue patio awnings and poles, 9 blocks east of me into the American Legion parking lot. I was so happy not to be under them for that wild ride!

Hello. I enjoyed watching your video alot. Abby. I enjoyed all the different background you were all talking about. My Dad had a 4010 john Deere tractor when he farmed. I was very young when my Dad had that 4010 john Deere tractor and then we got a 4320 john Deere tractor with i was older. God bless to you and your family.

Wonderful question and answer segment! Really learn a ton about your work on your Farm. LOVED you showing your Spectacular Howard Miller Clock! I mentioned it in an earlier video of The Todd Family and how lovely it sounded when chiming at the bottom of the hour! Very much appreciate you all taking the time to explain your life on The Farm so that even a knucklehead like me can actually grasp what all goes on! Very glad to be here.....Cheers From Ohio

That has to be one huge chicken farm . Pigs in the cold, burn up a lot of fat to stay warm, and if a sow farrows in the cold she roll on her piglets,or the piglets might freeze to death. I thought you might have had a corn contract with the Big Agri Businesses in Cedar Rapids

I've been wondering about crop rotation, is it over a seven year cycle with a one year rest?

That is a a hard thing with hog raising in cold climates like here in Iowa. They do not like, or do well in cold days outside, so we can not operate like a Arkansas farmer might. Also, when you try to increase your numbers to make economic sense, you are faced with a physical size question. There is a happy medium somewhere, but there has been big improvements in handling the waste with modern farming.

well i guess we are officially non denominational. daddy says its hard to claim a denomination nowadays because every church is different anyways. You could have two baptist churches right beside each other and they might not look anything alike. So we just try to preach the gospel, believe the Bible, glorify God, hate sin, love our neighbor and do the best we can. Daddy says the main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing

Christians should not sell, nor consume pork. It's clearly forbidden in the Old Testament:
And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you. (Leviticus 11)
Moreover, the New Testament verse (Mark 7:19) that appears to condone consuming unclean meat was not written by any apostle, but rather added to the margin by a priest hundreds of years later.
