As an American 🇺🇸 father, I have naturally been to a few monster jams. The drivers tell me they can control the rotation of the truck mid-air due to the relative weight of those big tires as compared to the vehicle weight. Obviously not a purpose built flying machine but there is some level of control.
I should have said less control than in the game then! Bet it was pretty cool to see.
