I think my biggest gripe is the combo meter. I could spend 1 minute doing tricks, then I crash and it doesn't score. I think you should get scored after doing the trick than getting scored after the whole combo
ABSOLUTLEY! I understand high risk/high reward, but it does not feel good to build up a huge combo to have it all knocked out by nicking the wall in the wrong spot.
It is fun! But it is a bit short. Multiplayer should have been the way to save the game from dying out, but it seems that that's been falling apart now too. :(
The game overall is really good. It just needs more to do. Single player race options for head to head or racing or horde. Freestyle and all. It would give more replay value. Plus more than one truck in the training ground would be fun. Can someone get milestone to consider some quality of life improvements.
The one thing I appreciate about the FIRST Steel titans, the physics didn’t take over, you had full control and the game felt a bit more fluid. Also Showdowns Multiplayer feels to restricted, it’s like a gamble or bad rng to know where your gonna play. it would be more satisfying to just be able to pick which mode or tracks you want to play.
Yes! The physics in Titans were crazy, but like you said, they never took over for you and it always felt fluid, if a bit floaty and unrealistic. Also very valid criticism on the multiplayer, I don't like the whole Playlist idea. I think it was implemented to give shorter wait times, but that's not really working out too well...
I haven't seen the drivers feet actively moving the gas and brake but I have seen the driver have a fully animated motion of using the left hand to saw at the wheel with the palm.
It’s awful how even when you disable all the annoying driving aids they still feel SO, SO, SO strong. And being able to snap into a cyclone in the blink of an eye is annoying. Honestly the physics are pretty elementary and the online is a ghost town. I think the game is fun and super aesthetically pleasing but leaves major room for improvement. Oh the venues suck too, we need real Stadium and Arena events because Milestones knows 0 about building a cool or flowy track.
I unlocked all the trucks, needing the liveries though. Milestone needs to make more maps like the creators of Steel Titans 2 did, playing the same 3 maps will get boring fast, if they were going to create custom maps they need to have that in a different section. Some of us players would like to see a section where you can make your own truck and I think, from the beginning, Milestone should have made a custom Monster Jam Showdown truck.
A career mode with no depth, just a simple enter-race-exit structure. Terrible, really terrible physics. After seeing what can be achieved with Unreal Engine 5, this is truly shocking. Honestly, I could go on for a while, but the sales numbers and the number of players online speak for themselves. I remember when Steel Titans 2 first came out, it generated much more excitement. Trying to sell DLC for this game takes a lot of guts. I respect all the reviews, but for me, this was a disappointment. Maybe I set my expectations too high when I saw the name Milestone, I'm not sure. Thanks for the great review!
Thanks for the comment brother! It definitely could have been better, but I still think the game is fun. Hopefully they'll get a chance to make it better in a sequel.
Ive changed plans, im getting an xbox instead so i can get the physical version at gamestop, so i won't risk losing the digital version. Xbox has better graphics anyway than ps
They need to merge steel titans and showdown get the realistic with titans and everything showdown has that is my biggest gripe it's not realistic no real life arena or stadiums no two wheels skills

Nice work friend! Keep it up!

I loved the monster jam showdown, I did try it, and it seems to be very fun. I don't mind the physics or any stadiums at all. It's all perfect.
I'm so glad that you are enjoying it! I like it too, but there are definitely some things I'd like to see fixed!
Just found your channel. I think the game is a 10 out of 10.
That is a totally valid opinion sir! I'm glad you are enjoying the game, and it definitely is a ton of fun to play!

You know you're right! That's what I was thinking of! I got the feet from beam mixed up with the steering in Showdown! Doh!
If I was a UA-camr playing showdown and someone asked me for a review of the game I would link this video 😂
Oh my gosh Harry! You're too kind!
I pulled off the docs wheelie front flip in jester and I didn’t screen record it I’m so sad
Lol oh man! Bummer!

All very valid points man. Hopefully they can fix it either in updates or in a sequel.

Nice! Keep it up man, I'll go check out your vids in a few minutes!
Okay cool, I haven't posted a video in while because I'm doing shorts. I might do a review like you did, idk maybe.

Did you ever figure this out?
@ToucanPlays yea, it turns out an already created one with a different email years ago and forgot about it.

@MatthewPhelps-lq6tr xbox does not have better gfx then ps5. Sorry
