Comparison 15 pro 3x vs 15 pro 3x 5x image and video quality pls also stabilization pls..not decide yet 15 pro or pro max (not tele guy😅
Really really good video! I'm still with my s23 ultra but there is a big update for the iphone user
iPhone camera destroyed Samsung in detail.
Team Samsung since the galaxy s3 and that's never going to change. Samsung is just a powerhouse !
Previously, the app had to apply telephoto zoom and telephoto zoom to the iPhone, macro camera and zoom camera are necessary functions of the smartphone, because the main camera is present in every smartphone.
Impressive dynamic range from the S23 Ultra, but I am not gonna lie I liked the 5x portraits on the iPhone. They look _very_ realistic, even the low light ones. Hope that Samsung can improve the portrait and low light modes as well.
It's not, it's called hdr-overdo.
@@yamahaevo I disagree it’s overdo. You can literally see the iPhone is lacking details in highlights.
@@bLaffix You can se the extreme halo on samsung pictures.
@@yamahaevo huh where?
@@bLaffix I take my words back. But still you could se it in the citylight pictures. Taken some pictures with s23 ultra and there is much more hdr with samsung then iphone, and over sharpness. Bit still ios sucks so have to use samsung anyways.
Both are amazing phones. If I had to choose only one it would be S23 Ultra.
Why
@@RealMrMizter
Why not ?
Why would you downgrade?
Becuase the country he is from, the iPhone Pro Ultra costs $2000. That’s almost $900 more than the S23 Ultra.
@@dadillonful😂😂😂😂 bro said downgrade hahahha
Amazingly done as always. You really do the best and most thorough camera comparisons on UA-cam 🔥
As always a thorough camera comparison done professionally, no gimmicks or marketing involved. I honestly never need to see another comparison after seeing your review danny. Keep up the great work as always.
The biggest thing I want all manufacturers to do is to stop the over-noise reduction, followed to sharpening to hide it. GCam with custom libs have shown you can actually have more (and much more natural, true camera like) detail, without sacrifices. The "its a smartphone look" isn't needed.
Exactly! S23 Ultra with GCam (I use LMC or AGC) is a monster and beats every other phone out there.
Best case scenario would be if I can make my own sharpening/noise etc preset. Ofc you can shoot raw and then edit, but that's too much work for most everyday photos. A customisable preset for the initial edit would be my dream, pretty sure that will forever stay a dream though..
But the companies do the anti-noise rape because silly reviewers cry when they see the tiniest amount of noise when zooming in 300% on a photo taken in the dark, handheld, with a tiny sensor and an f/22+ equivalent aperture.
Anyways.. haha
Where do you get custom libs i wanna know
lol, i find it funny when i add a film recipe to my fuji camera. most of the ones i use set sharpening and noise reduction to the minimum

I've been using the One UI 6 beta, and I'm finding that with Advanced Intelligence Options set to Maximum, Scene Optimizer set to Off, and Picture Softening (under Camera Assistant) set to High, the S23 produces something much more palatable for iPhone camera fans.
Awesome comparison! Both phones are solid options. I'm excited about the rumors of a larger sensor on the S24 ultra. That may be the ultimate upgrade!
Your comparisons are always so detailed and well made
I'm a user of the s23 Ultra and iPhone too, this is the third camera comparison video I've watched today, and in fact it seems to be the most sincere and true. Congratulations !
From a Galaxy S23 Ultra user I would like to admit that the smoothness, stability and colors in video recording are always what Apple wins. The 10x camera in the Galaxy should still be there and they should improve it greatly because rumors have spread that they will cancel it in the S24 Ultra. The Galaxy is great at zoom, they should scrap 3x and use a 200MP sensor to cut 3x and add a brand new camera for 5x..
I hope that an update will come and solve the problems of night photography in very dark places, as the camera comes in strange colors such as red and green, especially in the sky, where you cannot share these images, and transferring more strains between cameras is a necessary requirement.
S20 Ultra had a perfect zoom lens, 64mp 4x was amazing for mid range zooming. Going to 3x/10x was good for long range but the 3x has been hit and miss.
As you have a s23 ultra, can you explain to me why no one is taking a 10x zoom photo of people. Because clearly thats not on the internet 😊
The iPhone is always present in video, processor, speed, photography, sound, and smoothness. The iPhone is indisputably better. This is a better and different reality. We point out that an old Apple device from years ago can be used without any slow recording, to take great photos. The question here is: Can you use an old Android phone? Today I imagine something funny
They gave u the 3x and the 5x. How do u feel after this update sir🎤
@@ihatesnakeu.7238
Unfortunately, Samsung has lost the title of Zoom King of Chinese phones
Awesome video as always, your channel is one of the best and I'm ALWAYS excited when I see you posted a new video! 👏👏👏
One thing I think would be even better is if you would compare the same zoom level each time (2x vs 2x, 3x vs 3x, 5x vs 5x, 10x vs 10x and 25x vs 25x. The S23U even has 2x lossless zoom now after the latest update). This would give us a much better look at how they compare across the entire zoom range and also at how good the digital zoom algorithm of each phone is.
Anyways, I was impressed by the dynamic range of the Galaxy, especially considering Apple said their HDR was better than ever... Also the 24MP on the iPhone looks soooo good!
Best comparison! Clear and no bias 🙌
Thanks Danny! I really appreciate this comparison as it takes a lot of time and effort. I just switched from iPhone 13 Pro Max to a S23 Ultra because Google FI ran a great deal with $600 off. So far loving it, a very slight learning curve with all the photo modes on the S23U. Apple has the benefit of shooting great out of the box without thinking about it but the S23U produces some amazing shots once understood. But wow that 5x portrait on the iPhone 15 Pro Max is so good!
can you please elaborate about the google offer
@@lokeshdhyawana7247 you have to have Google Fi as a service provider. Go to their shopping section and the $600 promo is shown.

Both did a great job main difference it seems is how far each one is able to zoom out and how much of the details and accurate colors they can pick up when taking video or photo
The camera on the S23 is going to be the preference for most people. They would like to just take a picture and send it through social media or messaging apps. Those colors would definately catch their attention.
Sorry but nah.
Hah...you may have forgotten that iPhone has 5 photographic styles that you wont find in trash Samsung. So you can capture your photo according to your preference and upload them easily in social sites without any editing.
@@wasiahmed1547when you start calling names like "trash samsung", you opinion is immediately invalid, it seems you have the small d**k energy😂
@@wasiahmed1547 Photographic style is another way to say filter , if that was the case samsung beats iphone in pictures as well as video because you can take higher mp jpeg files and then color edit it in lightroom

Thanks so much for this video!
Gotta love the comparison videos as well as indicating wherein both pictures has flaws and how the other phone is advantageous from the other.
The iPhone is doing surprisingly well with the 5x. They just need to work on the smoothing/noise reduction when digitally zooming above 10x. I’m sure they will tweak it in the coming months.
Amazing cameras on both phones! the iPhone 15 Pro definitely made an improvement! I still prefer the S23 Ultra for it price and flexibility on Zoom, I got a new one for 800USD so to me, it was a great purchase!

Your comparison videos are unbiased and very detailed I really enjoy and appreciate your comparisons s23 still my choice
I like the dynamic range the iPhone is producing. Nice video...
Thank you so much for the in depth camera comparison. Really useful for identifying which one fits personal preferences.
Your camera reviews are unmatched 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿
Thank you for the comparison and the hard work behind it.
I noticed a few things:
1. In my opinion, most photos from the S23U look much nicer and more natural.
2. The 5x zoom of the iPhone 15 PM looks really nice compared to the S23U, especially in portrait mode the zoom shows its full power.
3. The iPhone 15 PM has significantly improved its zoom, I especially like the 5x zoom, Apple has done a really good job there. On the other hand, I don't like the 25x zoom so much; the zoom on the S23U looks nicer.
4. In my opinion, there are hardly any significant differences between the S23U and iPhone 15 PM when it comes to night mode, both are convincing.
5. When it comes to stabilization, the iPhone 15 PM is slightly ahead in some situations, but the stabilization of both is really good.
If I had to choose a smartphone based on this video (comparison between iPhone 15 PM and S23U), I would currently choose the S23U based on the results I saw in the video.
When I still think about the release of the S23U and compare it with today, Samsung has improved a lot when it comes to photos and videos. The photos and videos were good when it was released, but if you compare it to today, the photos and videos back then were crap!
This is my own opinion and taste!
I'm not a fanboy, I like both Samsung and Apple, both have advantages and disadvantages, both know how to convince.
The fact that this video doesn’t get hundreds of thousands or millions of views is just pissing me off.
This is probably the best comparison video that involves both phones that I’ve watched so far.
Rare comment of an apple emoji face thing being smart
Very nice comparison, as always👍🏻
Yes, was waiting for ya Danny!
I was so looking forward to seeing your video! I'll keep my S23 Ultra (and use the pro mode or GCam when i need natural colors)
What ive learned is that both devices do some things better than the other camera wise. Which is impressive for the S23 because its nearly 8 months older. Other than that the S23 smokes the 15 in every other category.
Thanks for the detailed review of the zoom cameras on smart phones!
Thanks Danny appreciate this one
I was blown away by the quality of iPhone 15's portrait mode! The sunset portrait pictures felt like it came from a movie.
Samsung user here and gotta admit, amazing camera upgrades on the iphone this year! That 5x portrait is phenomenal, and the zoom detail honestly held up fantastic!!,
You're the only one that's not biased out of all the videos I've watched.
Love your video ❤❤❤❤ u soo good at this comparison.
This is fhe first time in a while that im super impressed with the iPhone's camera. I love how natural a lot of the shots looked and I like that it doesn't over shapren. I have an s23 ultra so obviously I'd choose that but man it's very close!
Seeing the portrait shots on iphone 15 pro Max especially the 5x my goodness, the bokeh effect is just mind-blowing, thinking it's coming from a phone camera
Looks like they've toned down the micro-contrast levels this year - a long-awaited improvement. Thank you for the review!
Great 👍 Would love to see the selfie videos on both!!
The worst thing about iPhones is that you will never get any improvements on camera quality after releasing. Samsung will get you updates and will improve your camera quality over time
Apple releases lots of camera improvements with every release of iOS
@@ssaini5028 can you name some? When did they improve low light? Also for older models? Overexposed pictures still exists
Thank you for such a fantastic video. This kind of videos tend to be more biased since there is a preference for the creator. However, your video gives many samples that shows both bad and good for both phones. It is clear that both phones are great and it is hard to find the difference between them unless you compare them side by side. I am an Apple person who is familiar with the Apple ecosystem so iPhone would be the one I get, but I want to try galaxy someday.
Amazing video bro 🔥
I love you man, you are the best without any intention.
5:00 Interesting how as soon as you switch to the telephoto, the flickering LEDs return to normal. That telephoto is really struggling for light compared to the main lens if the shutter speed had to drop to something low enough to prevent that error. Makes me want to invest in some ND filters for the main lens though!
They both do good.
However, having the s23u, what I have found is that I am FAR more likely to be shooting with the 3x camera than all of the others combined. So I am glad it is a dedicated focal length, and not a digital crop.
Thanks, Danny excellent recap I have been sitting it out, not a fan of Max size phones but man, do I want more zoom... your review was perfect. thank you
Amazing review like how u focus on zoom
Glad to see the iphone image processing preferes having a little noise over being over-sharpened which indeed is the enemy of the image clarity. With that said, i think they didn't improve the dynamic range that much specially on thoses sunset shots. Also there is a too much contrast in the dark areas making trees looks black, this was an issue in iphone 14 series and apparently they didn't fix it here.
Looking forward to see more of your comparison videos.
But in video newer iphones it still oversharpens, last week randomly watched a iphone 7 vs iphone 14 pro camera comparison. Iphone 7 video looks so good in textures(not a lot of detail but still no ugly lines) it looks like real life in smoothness when you are moving your head and eyes.
@@mit6089the iPhone 14 is the iPhone that was over-sharpened hence why he said that it is good that the new iPhone 15s have tuned down the over-sharpening.

In my opinion, I personally wish Samsung would make default picture taken images closer to accurate colors and not saturate the colors. Make the saturated colors a filter option or something.
Also wish iPhones wouldn’t skew to warmer colors in some instances but try to appear accurate.
Wow the 15 is very very close in spite of the ultra having much better hardware, Apple is very good in bringing out the max of less
if the S23 has "much better hardware" it wasn't apparent anywhere in this comparison with the obvious exception of having an optical 10x vs 5x zoom. What else would you say gives the S23 "much better hardware"?
Thanks for mentioning the image stabilization issue in 13:19. No other reviewers wanted to talk about it. I’ve been contacting Apple for the past 7 months about this issue and I thought it will be fixed in the new release, but it seems like it still an issue. This isn’t only when you’re using the X5 zoom. You can easily replicate it by walking and recording at night and you’ll see how bad the image stabilization is. This issue started with the iPhone 14 pro!
bro, no one can stabilize a camera with higher focal lengths when walking for obvious reasons. However, OEMs have introduce a digital way of minimizing it in scenarios where there are only minimal movement just like you are standing and holding your phone and taking a video.

I even called Apple and opened a case and they admitted it - they said that they have a parent case related to this issue because they have received lots of complaints! Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has 12MP, 50MP and 200MP modes, but for some reason you won't see the 50MP photos here. Instead, the comparison was done between S23 Ultra's lowest resolution (12MP) versus iPhone 15 Pro Max's higher resolution (24MP) instead of its 12MP, too. It's unclear why it was done like that, since both phones have 3 different options for the resolution of the main camera. Keep in mind that the 50MP mode on Samsung S23 Ultra is noticeably better than the 12MP one. The comparison would be totally different if it was done between 50MP from the Samsung S23 Ultra versus 24MP from the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Waiting for a proper comparison...
It takes a good 2-3 seconds for Samsung to capture 50mp photos and that too with a large file size. iPhone captures 24mp photos instantly with photo size of 2mb.
@@kumarrahul1982 , file size for the 24MP JPEG photos of iPhone 15 Pro Max is reported to be 4,8 MB, and 35MB for ProRAW.

@@edgargalicia5071 , the 50MP mode of S23 Ultra does not have a less dynamic range. It's the 200MP mode which has a limited dynamic range. iPhone 15 Pro Max has 3 modes: 12MP, 24MP and 48MP. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra also has 3 modes: 12MP, 50MP and 200MP. It takes just a couple of seconds to change the default resolution mode on either phone.
