I came here from lite Brite! I seen Sam spot Matt on that trail! Most viewed! Then this fer came along! 45 minutes of the most unnecessary front digs ever! I am so proud you both
Awesome interview! Rory and his guys are some of the most humble people I've ever met, they are always willing to take a few minutes to chat with someone.
Great interview and when I first got into UA-cam I found Matt’s Off Road Recovery I spotted Rorys channel and he was basically shooting with one camera and I watched his channel grow. He was pulling off some the most radical rescues I became obsessed with watching his work.
So good to see Rory himself and his channel evolve. He adds a lot of colour and character to the actual wrecker world and UA-cam space. Until I stumbled on this video I hadn't seen andy of Rory's, so thanks!
I remember Rory mentioning a couple times working in the oil industry, and always figured his gin pole style boom setup was inspired by bed trucks. Glad to hear more background on that, those are awesome machines!
Great interview Chris! Rory and his team are number one for repair and recovery. I'm sure you enjoyed being with him. Chris, for the life of me I don't understand why you guys don't have 1,000's more subscribers by now. You do a great job with your videos and have great information. Come on folks, let's get Gone-Gpn to 10K by June!!!!
Hey Rick, Collard here. Thanks for the good words...and as for the 1,000s of more subscribers, no idea. The entire team is busy doing our "other" jobs and doing what we can with Gone-GPN. Thanks again, C-
That was a great interview with Rory. Those wrecker games judging and trophy hand outs was the bomb!!!! Hecl the whole thing was the bomb!!!🎸🎸 NW Montana. USA
The first time I saw Trail-Mater I thought it looked like an escapee from Mad Max, but then I realised how capable it is and how skillful Rory is with it. Every walkaround shows a few more details of the intelligent thought and evolution that has gone into it. A great interview, thank you.
A good business is not afraid of people doing the same kind of "business"! Working together but still keeping your own journey in tact makes it great for all concerned!! Friendship, comraderie and trust!!
Hey Rory, I've been watching your show & Matt's for a little bit now and I just caught this episode and. It's important that you know... what you guys do matters, how you work together matters. I'm a retired NYPD police officer disabled so I got a lot of time to watch YOUR shows and they uplifts me gives me hope. God knows how many people you have helped probably save lives and I've learned so much from watching you all, so Thank You for sharing God bless you all
I always seem to learn things from you guys. You guys are all good anyways about the chrome Molly axles didn’t know that they were too hard to wear their brittle. Anyway, that’s need to know all right this is six in a row.Jim from Kennerdell, Pennsylvania
I'm glad to see y'all helping out each other's off roading towing companies. I watch for the information. Being a military mechanic at one tyme that used a VTR, a M88, and the five ton Wrecker for recovering tanks, tracks, and wheeled vehicles bring back memories. We used a tow bar to stabilize the load even when the boom was in use. Thanks Utah crew for the lessons.
The thing that Rory brings to the plate is the rigging. Add to it the mentality of an Engineer and the instinct of weight and balance with a Lone Ranger attitude. Nobody you'd rather have on a trail with you. May God continue to Bless Trail Mater Recovery! ❤
I just found your channel and subscribed. I have been working on growing my own channel and it very good to hear how someone else stared out. I will be looking forward to seeing your next video.
I enjoyed this video thank you. Rory has gone from very shy talking on camera to being able to cope and all the time is improving. We love what and how he does things, and he is very humble as a person overall. There are loads of things which make Rory likeable, just the little things like he includes his daughter in his life, and she seems to love being on a trail with him. Also, his partner often comes along in her vehicle. The way he Shaun and Mike all inter react causes fun and laughter and what’s not to like about that. They also work together as a well oiled team. There are so many other reasons why he is so popular. Stay safe until next time.
I met Rory under similar circumstances lol.... my dad and I were on a road trip, the only tshirt I bought was TrailMater Wrecker Games, (I feel he was the real winner that day if you're judging ability to do the least harm while recovering off road) when I showed up to his shop and was checking out Trailmater, Rory came out, he seemed quite busy but still took a few minutes to help me get my tshirt.
Rory is an amazing guy. He is such a talented individual and has guys working beside him who are evolving into very talented individuals and are not afraid to tackle any adversity. An absolutely great team. Love their videos. Rory reminds me so much of my dad . he could repair or build about anything with some scrap steel and some baling wire and torch.
It’s been said before and I’ll say it again…. Rory seems to not only be a very well liked man in the off-road community but even you can see it through his channel he’s always joking seems to be very easy going and overall just a good hearted person! You see it most when the little one is with him! As Big and intimidating as Rory may seem when his little girl is around he’s softer than a feather! Let’s us know he ain’t all piss and vinegar like he wants us to believe lol
Thanks Chris, that was awesome to hear Rory's backstory. I've been on his channel for 1.5 years and it's been amazing to see it grow. Thank you Greg for your great camera work.
Also, what I like about you, Roy you seem like a really neat guy. You’re not arrogant at all that I can see anyway anyhow that’s a really neat tow truck. He got there if you ever have problems with that Dana 80 there’s a company in California called Dyna Max they make Dana 80s they’re not resource from a wrecking yard in reworked. They’re all new axles and you can get really heavy tubes on there for the axles.
This is a cool story! I see a documentary happening down the road! Totally documentary worthy! I love this!! 😊 Your my favorite channel for off road! I’m so glad you drop videos constantly throughout the week! I’m a big fan!!! Great job filming Rory! He’s one of the good ones!!
Awesome interview!
Hey Matt, thanks for the good words. Sorry I wasn't able to hook up with you after EJS. Heading to Mexico next week and had too much on my plate. C-
I came here from lite Brite! I seen Sam spot Matt on that trail! Most viewed! Then this fer came along! 45 minutes of the most unnecessary front digs ever! I am so proud you both
I enjoy all things "Rory". Just watched a Trailmater vid when this showed up, so... Time well spent
@@outlaw26aow61 Front digs are never unnecessary if they annoy someone. Cool to watch if they don't.
Rory is an awesome man Matt.
Awesome interview! Rory and his guys are some of the most humble people I've ever met, they are always willing to take a few minutes to chat with someone.
Agreed, just normal guys doing their thing. Thanks for the input.

Great interview and when I first got into UA-cam I found Matt’s Off Road Recovery I spotted Rorys channel and he was basically shooting with one camera and I watched his channel grow. He was pulling off some the most radical rescues I became obsessed with watching his work.
Hey Mr. Mongo, Collard here. Three years ago I was cracking up when I put the camera on Rory and asked for comments and he said, "I don't do that..."

They're great people, no cussing, no derogatory rude comments about people, which I've heard from an AZ channel.
Agreed, and fun to hang out with too.
So good to see Rory himself and his channel evolve. He adds a lot of colour and character to the actual wrecker world and UA-cam space. Until I stumbled on this video I hadn't seen andy of Rory's, so thanks!
