- I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOR SO LONG. But I'm really happy with how it turned out!!! Backgrounds are meh but I'm not spending more than 2 minutes for animatic backgrounds.

If I had a nickel every time I made an animatic about Hollyleaf's death I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice.

I think the most underrated part of this is leafpool flickering over squirrelflight. I really liked that detail that squirrelflight was the first she thought of as mom but then it gets muddled with knowing her real mom. At least that’s my interpretation;;

Awh man. The final part, where she's just dead after getting determined that she really wasn't gonna die, and just so pathetically bleeding out dead with her holly leaf falling to the ground as she is dead now...Oof that hit really hard, I like this.

I think everyone knows this audio isn't made FOR warrior cats 😭 They're just saying that the audio fits for the character since she's not actually a hero after spending her whole life thinking she was. Plus the name BMO gives away that it's an Adventure Time audio
This is so heartbreaking. The way she's confident she's going to survive, only for a sharp cut to her dead body as the leaf cuts into two... *ow my heart*
As a side note, I LOVE your Holleyleaf design. Simple but so, so effective

I love Hollyleaf, I've always been so sad that they brought her back just so she'd die almost right away

ik she felt so useless in the books and it made me so mad she couldve had sm to do like make her deputy and eventually leader or go out and explore and make more books about clans elsewhere

oh my gosh this is amazing- i love the subtle flicker of leafpool over squilf as hollyleaf thinks of both her mothers. such a haunting but gorgeous animatic!!
HollyLeafs 2nd death made me cry, she died saving IvyPool! Also, I loved how you made LeafPool and SquirrelFlight flickering back and forth!
I know I shouldn't laugh, it's a sad scene but that sudden cut of "bounces back" to bleeding out Hollyleaf with the leaf dropping just made me chuckle

oh that last shot just hit so differently oh my god?? loving the achromatic colors with the few exceptions being the blood and the visions, super great work.
I like how the only colour is the blood and the ghost cats.

I keep going back to this video. I usually don't comment on your animatics or animations but.. this is incredible. The emotions on Hollyleaf and just everything in this looks incredible. The eerie silence that cuts her off when she doesn't want to believe shes dead is bone chilling; especially the little leaf falling off her ear like a dead tree. Outstanding!

THIS. I LOVE THIS. Everything is so BEAUTIFUL! The slowmo of the blood splash while her pupils shake, the quick cut to show her bloody body, and the little tink sound of the final leaf falling from her ear. ITS ALL SO BEAUTIFUL! great job on this! :D

Wow. Talk about hitting you hard! I've never heard this audio before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was really unprepared for this! Love the dramatic effect at the end, it's simple, but it just hits you with some much emotion seeing her just dead, as the leaves fall.

This is one of my favorite Warriors pmvs I’ve ever seen. It’s so visually striking, with beautiful character designs and animation and your choice of audio is that perfect mix of disturbing and sad, it fits so well. Amazing job

i love hollyleaf but man her story makes me sad
she learnt her parents weren't who she thought they were and that she was the result of a cross-clan relationship, exiled herself from her clan, at some point she learnt she wasn't a special prophecy cat like her siblings, and then died shortly after coming back to her clan
also i love the detail of leafpool appearing over squirrelflight! it's a small thing but i haven't seen anyone illustrate her feelings about who her mother is like that before
okay but, Hollyleaf deserves more fans. they are underrated- (but I’ve only read the full first series so don’t quote me on this.)
As the leaf breaks in two when she dies, so does my heart after watching this
