The name Ambrose means "Immortal", so it's actually a cool name when you think about it, but of course WWE will never mention that sadly.

It's bothered me for a long time after seeing many of his past bouts and interviews he's cut in different organizations that they can't just let him go all out. Or hell for that matter let many of their talent do their own thing in the ring and help develop themselves like in wrestlings past. The dude is an absolute shell of his former self character-wise and I can bet many other guys out there feel the same since they can't just do what they know would work.

Great list. I personally will always have a soft spot for Dean and Seth. They really helped me get back in to wrestling a while ago. At a time where they were almost the only interesting thing in WWE (and roman was there to I guess).

I hate what they've done with his character but not him personally he has so much potential and I was just so excited for him to make his WWE debut when I saw his indie Joker like promo's.
As a fellow Cincinnatian (where Mr. Ambrose also hails), the nickname "lunatic fringe" is a running nickname of a local Cincinnati hard rock station, WEBN, which plays a lot of AC-DC and such.
Dean Ambrose's "I'm just a sick guy" promo from CZW is the stuff of legend. Seriously, go watch it, it's brilliant.

I seen dean live last night at a house event, his match against bray Wyatt was pure magic. I enjoyed it so much. When Luke Harper started attacking dean with ref busy ,the roof popped off the arena when James Ellsworth came out to "somewhat" save him.
I even got his autograph.
If this heel turn is a complete reboot. New music, new image, new moves then they could save one of the biggest wasted potential ever. This guy could still be amazing

I genuinely thought WWE was going to go down the "look at Mick Foley in Japan" route for Ambrose v Lesnar, especially after Foley and Funk were both passing the torch to him in their backstage segments.
If they'd shown Ambrose's garbage-wrestling past (even with black-and-white pictures if need be) in the same way they highlighted Mick's death-match past in Japan for the run-in to Royal Rumble 2000, then (and this is the important part) followed up on in the match itself, the bout could have been epic in scale.

I am from Cincinnati, and Dean got the Lunatic fringe nickname from Cincinnati's rock n roll station thats been around for 30 years- WEBN.
He'll always be my one of my favs of the new wrestlers of the time. He has so much talent and had a great start to his singles run post-shield... sadly the writing got so bad and his character was sorely abused like the others. I haven't watched in almost 2 years so I've missed out on a lot, but I can't imagine they've done much better with him.
Ambrosia is also the food of the Greek Gods, which is supposed to confer immortality upon those who eat it.

I know many people will jump on me but Ambrose telling Brock Lesnar is lazy on the Stone Cold podcast was sort of bullshit and you could see on Austin face that he did not agree with Dean. At SummerSlam 2016 Ambrose sold like 8 moves in his whole Match against Ziggler and I saw the whole thing

Finally been wait for this video for like a f and a half now.
Dean mentioned CZW in his promo for match with Lesnar at CZW, NJPW is mentioned almost every time Styles, Gallows, Anderson or Nakamura are in the ring, ROH is sometimes name-dropped and there was an article about ROH alums (Punk, Bryan, Rollins, Cesaro etc) on WWE website, PWG was name-dropped recently by Cena, only TNA is treated like it doesn't exist (except for Low Ki in NXT or Cena in his feud with CM Punk in 2011).
You forgot that he was supposedly only brought in when CM Punk requested him (along with Rollins). According to that infamous Punk tell-all podcast The Shield was was suppose to be with Punk originally.
Yeah Punk wanted Seth, Dean and Chris hero but WWE wanted "their guy" so they replaced Hero with Reigns.

branlopgar the only thing I found better with Seth's run compared to Brock's, is that he at least showed up more and had more matches (even if he was booked cowardly). Lesnar was definitely more believable overall as a champ

In one interview Dean said he didn't really like those matches he did in his indie days. Though he thanks wrestling for saving his life. Plus there is a scar on his back from a fight he was in years ago.

i think dean ambrose is a very entertaining man to watch.hes a good wrestler with a bloody past. i have watched his matches in c z w and he looks happier then .wrestlin those kind of matches is what he loves to do and since leavein the wwe to go to a e w he is happier.

AJ, Sami Zayn and Cesaro also appeared in CZW numerous times, although not in a deathmatch setting like Dean did

Hearing all these crazy thing Ambrose did in the past just make me even more angry at the fact the wwe is wasteing and watering down his talent
