All the true greats had at least one facet that they did wonderfully well but, he had everything. All encased in that unbroken and unmatched brilliance of tone....all delivered without any apparent hint of effort. So many others, particularly today, look as if their faces are going to explode.
No effort? No offence, but you don’t know much about classical singing. Look at his facial expression, the focus on his face, how his body works, you can see enormous physical effort, the body movement, he uses diaphragm to control his voice, thus, in order to sing like that, it takes years and years of practice. There’s nothing effortless about it. You only see the final product and you simply assumed, his singing was effortless. The fact is, it never was. It was a proper athletic effort, combined with years of practicing the appropriate singing technique. ua-cam.com/video/O_I13BmyxD4/v-deo.htmlsi=TIY_rzujX6dMuaD5. The above is me performing exactly the same aria. Product of around seven, eight years of working on my body control and a technique required to sing it, as you described it, effortlessly😀👍.
@@pavarotti744 I'm not taking part in any race and I don't know whether you want to argue or not. It's your choice. Comment, look up the word apparent in the dictionary...sad state of affairs. Again your choice. Well, at least I can sing that aria, because I had a good singing teacher, and I know how to sing it, without having a pointless words exchange on UA-cam. Your comment confirms that you don't know how to sing classically. Have a good day 👍.
Lovely performance. Thank you for posting.

@@zbigniewbialczak1692 look up the word 'apparent' in the dictionary. You may very well take part in 'the race' but, that doesn't make you a coach.

It means "I have never seen such a woman." Something like that. He sang it for Princess Diana once in concert.
