- Presented as British Watches with Swiss movements, Farer is refreshingly open and informative about all aspects of their watches and their prices range from under 1k to just under 2k.
Interestingly, the ability to pick the edition/serial number is what finalized my decision. My son was born on January 10th this year and I was able to grab
Thank you Bill for such a great review. I love Farer watches and have two of them myself. Farer have an excellent eye for detail. eg. All the crowns have a bronze inserts, and the colorways are refreshingly unique. They also have the knack of wearing smaller than they look, so are well suited the medium/smaller wrist size. I understand Farer are primarily a design company with all production coming from Switzerland.
Bill, I’ve been looking at this brand for a few years. Your video made me take a new look and I purchased the Freshwater Aquamatic. Very nice watch, 3 bands, great packaging and deliveries in 2 days. All for under $1,000. These are nice fun watches with a more casual look. Thanks for the video encouragement.
Thanks Bill. Great watches.
Wasn’t familiar with Farer myself, thanks for sharing Dr.!
Good morning from Spain Bill.I have two of their watches and very pleased with them. The Classic Chronograph was over 2k but has a Dubois Depraz module and the Aquamatic Freshwater a summer favourite. The company has made use of colour a signature and finish top notch.Note the brass insert in the crown that shows thought and effort. For my taste C Ward over egg design but Farer,(pronounced like wayfarer),get it right.Regards
Great one Bill 🥃
Ive been eyeing the world timer, great deal
Hi Bill. I have yet to handle a Farer. They are a relatively new brand, but apparently the quality is good, and they seem like something a bit different for reasonable money.
Yup, I like'em so much that I bought a gmt. Its excellent value for the money.
I ordered an AquaMatic (Biarritz) this past weekend. Should arrive tomorrow. Will let you know how it is.
I own the Farer Mansfield with a cushion case and sub seconds. I’m really happy with it. It’s also manual wind and nice finishing too. Thanks for the review Bill!
Great watches, family re-vived English company of some history. The watches are a bit cutesy for me but that Crono is great value considering what Chronos, especially Swiss cost these days.
I was disappointed that you didn't mention the La Joux Perret G101 movement offered in some of their watches. With 4hz and a 68 hour reserve it would seem worthy of consideration.
This should be interesting. I just traded a Farer for an Anonimo Militare Zulu Time GMT 1st generation (with the crown at 6) and a fun little 1970's Seiko 5 for my son.
I have two Farers, and both come with noteworthy movements:
Hello Bill, do Christopher Ward next, please.
Around 2k to get a Titanium manual wind Chronograph. Is it me or is this a big contender for anyone looking to get a speedy but 8k is a little too much?
Apparently they were founded in 2015
