Victor, people who moan about luthier costs should now see what work goes into a guitar, it is very skilled work and knowledge is what you pay for, keep the videos coming they're very informative
I sanded the radius on an old Shaftesbury Les Paul but the inlays were sticking up and the sanding has dulled them around the edges. Any idea how to get the shine back?
I was pleased to see that you purchased a set of Hosco files after your disappointment of using Uo-Chikyu. I have a selection of these Hosco files and some Stewmac files and both makes are of the same high quality and will last you a very long time. Regards.
I only use Sintoms Elite fret wire. Likely 2.8mm wide x 1.4mm high. It is 25% nickel silver (that hardest NS wire on the planet). I've been using it for 3 years...
I wonder if you get people like myself that are too worried about their guitar to have the work that needs to be done? Call me paranoid. I live in California and there's not anyone I feel that I can trust with my Les Paul, any suggestions? as I feel the need for a fret job because the guitars I buy seem to play much better fret-wise. PS My Les Paul is from 1977. Thank you.

@@FretFriendGWaL , thanks a lot ! So I can go for 1,4 mm height frets on a Les Paul ...No intonations problems for you on a short scale length ? Cause I have and love my JESCAR 57110 (1,45mm) on my Haar telecaster....My number One guitar for life and want bigger ones on my Les Paul too....Love your work 🙏🥰
Fret nibs...were/are a silly idea anyway, i dont know how you could do a proper fret job with them on tbh, especially with old guitars that have inconsistencies. Get em off for a more playable instrument. Nice fret job, well done.
On average I spend anything from 8 to 16 hours on a refret depending on how much needs doing. Not every job is the same. Of course, some will come on here and say they can do it in 3-4 hours but I do the job properly...
That was a great video please 🙏 type in 4,500 chibson part one and two thanks bro

Your sandpaper is too harsh. Use finer grits starting at 400 and finish with 2000 then oil the board and buff off...
new to your channel but its awesome! you are a maestro and the dedication to the fine detail shows!
Yep he's a top craftsman.

If you don't trust anyone, do it yourself! Else, check reviews and talk to techs / luthiers about your concerns. Victor...
Great job Victor. That was an enjoyable hour and a half spent on UA-cam. Cheers.
Hi buddy. How are you doing at the royal mail? Love your videos mate.
I thought i was a maniac when it comes to refretting but i'm sloppy compared to this guy, great job and very informative, thank you !
Thank you :) Victor...
What grit sandpaper are you using on the level beam?
240 for removal and 400 for smoothing...

NoOoOoOoo... Save the fret nibs!!
No tech/luthier I know will keep the nibs when doing a refret: it is impossible to get the frets right with nibs...
How many hours work did this take Victor ?
