  • In this unicycling vlog, I'll show you the entire process of how I learned to unicycle as a beginner. I had unicycled for 1 hour about 3 years ago before filming this video, so I was a complete beginner. By watching this video, you'll also learn how to ride a unicycle. I'll describe all of the tips and tricks I used that helped me get better. I'll show you some of the MANY times that I fell off the unicycle, so you don't get discouraged if you're having trouble too. You can do it.
    Stay tuned at the end for some funny deleted scenes with my younger cousin!

      1: Wear knee and wrist guards. 2: Lean forward. Make sure the weight of your head and shoulders is out front of the center of your body. Pedal to bring the wheel up behind you and prevent yourself from falling on your face.

      Got it! I can work on the leaning forward part for next time

      Looks great! One of the things I would do I raise the seat height. Good luck :D

    Oh yeah!!!! You have learnt fast 👌. It took me 30 mins everyday for 1 month and then I could do it. I like how you’re thinking through why you fell off because i think it helps solve problems. When learning, I tend to just keep trying mindlessly instead of thinking about what I need fix. Can’t wait for the next vid 😊

      Thanks! It definitely did not feel fast lol, but that's good to know. And way to stay dedicated until you got it!

    Hey it's about to make another unicycle video on your current progress.
    Hope you stuck with it. Also, did you figure out to "raise your seat"...which might help but not an absolute.

    Did you ever fall that hard, that those pads were useful? For me unicycle is great, because it is super easy to fall from it and stay ok standing - as long as you aren't ridint fast..

    • @JugglingGym

      Fortunately I never fell hard enough to use the pads or the helmet. I had a few close calls when I fell backwards instead of forwards. The only time I hurt myself was when I fell and my toe hit the ground at a weird angle. That hurt for like a day and then I was fine. Nevertheless, I *definitely* recommend that everyone who is learning how to unicycle wears a helmet and pads!

    Maybe ideally would be on level grass with a fence or does grass make it more difficult? Fewer broken bones maybe?

    • @JugglingGym
      @JugglingGym  3 місяці тому +1

      Grass would probably make it more difficult. Tbh unicycling isn’t that dangerous bc you don’t go very fast in the beginning and you tend to fall forward on your feet. I’d suggest wearing a helmet and wrist guards in case you fall backwards. Elbow pads and knee pads are most likely unnecessary, but it doesn’t hurt to wear them

    • @ChrisCoolski
      @ChrisCoolski 2 роки тому

      @@JugglingGym I like that it's a bigger wheel and I can ride 15 to 20 miles and to me, it's just more comfortable than the smaller size wheel. You'll have to give it a try at some point.
