I used to love making HTML pages as a kid too. After I graduated high school I couldn't major in computer science because I didn't have the required GPA, instead, I did engineering which is a field that's close to CS. Now that I finished 5 years of university and went through this year's circumstances, I just feel like I have to do something that I really love, I wouldn't say that I didn't like everything I did in university but I was just not happy... Now I find myself self-learning web development and I plan to do a master's degree abroad in computer science. Thank you for this video it was so inspiring and I wish everybody to find their passion and be happy in life. Peace.

So I've decided to learn web devlopment to get a job and also do my studies in some other field. Your video on basics of web development helped me loads and I feel so confident after hearing your story. I am also teaching myself. I hope I am able to do well atleast in this. Great video btw loved it. Loads of love! Keep Growing :-)

    Wow, that awesome animation!
I really can relate to your final take aways. After quitting my job as an elementary teacher, I'm about to study again in a thing called "dual-study" (not sure if this is a thing outside of Germany) were I'm part time doing my bachelor degree and part time working for a company, getting work experience (and getting paid a bit).
Taking longer for tasks is completely normal and nobody knows everything (something everyone expected otherwise in my previous job). I can't speak for others, but my boss is very understanding in that matter but also drives me to find out things myself instead of asking, even if it takes 3 times longer.
After 3 years in I think I'm out of the valley of despair, learning new techniques really fast.
People said I can't start out with programming that late, (I'm 28 now), but at my campus, there's almost half of the people my age or older that changed field like me. That really boosted my confidence.

This was certainly beneficial! See, I've learned so much on my own about web development (mostly, the programming side like using JavaScript and React), but I still get stuck trying to figure out new ideas to implement in web design. It's really hard for me to come up with a design that works well for both desktop and mobile. To explain better, my CSS skills are good, but I just don't have the "visualization" skills to imagine how a website would look like :)
