Once again- great reviews... Having sold boots and other shoes for many years and even as I am about to play some footie for my old school later today- fit is first and foremost regardless of any brand preferrence. If you have narrow feet- choose a pair that has that tapered shape. If you have broad feet- look for a pair that suits you and see if they come in varied widths... Those laceless newer boots with (neoprene) built-in "sox/socks", tend to be tricky with those who have high insteps... Also remember to try them on fully wrapped and with any ankle supports and full shinguards and match socks/sox...the feel is totally different from just a pair of crews on... Many of the boots we see have pro calibre and weekend warrior variants... Buy what your budget can afford and ensure the soles offer the "grip" relative to the surface you will be playing on... Very few people endure playing in soft ground boots (traditional six pegs), on pitches that are hard/firm and many artificial turf pitches forbid those boots anyhow... Likewise- you will find yourselves moonwalking on a soft, wet, grassy pitch if your soles do not suit those pitches... Hope these few pointers add to your post and help everybody... I make no superior claims- just sharing years of experience from playing since 1976 and sales since the 1990s😂
Genuinely curious why you havent reviewed any ASICS boots in a long time? I still remember when you reviewed the DS Light X-Fly 2 K and convinced me to buy them. That was one of the greatest boots I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing.
I really do appreciate how josh mentions the tapering of the toe box in the gx. Yes tbey are great boots that are very wide and super comfortable, however the extreme tapering and pinching of the toe box for me is such a werid decision tl have especially if the boot is design for comfort and width. Liking thay boot reslly depneds om the shape of your foot.
@@Dogsatpeak yes very comfortable and they fit perfectly because they can be adjusted due to them not having a one piece upper not to mention the leather is super soft and they are really durable
Then you absolutely don't have wide feet 😂 The preds causes instant pain both width wise and the toe box to the point I couldn't wear them for more than 5 minutes.
The soleplate for me completely ruins the Morelia 2. I bought it because of the raving reviews on this channel and others, but it just didn't work for me. Soleplate is genuinely garbage. Too long for AG, and for FG the studs are too wide, not digging into the ground so you're practically running on the studs. Also the stitching where the tongue meets the forefoot was pressing on my toes. Not painful but very annoying. The Neo 4 needed a different insole to be wearable as stock one had a high arch and was painful. Surprised the Phantoms are there. The tapering of the toebox is too much. Even the mercurial 16's fit wide feet better. And the less said about the Tekela+ the better. NO volume in the forefoot at all. Toes are crushed. The regular non '+' fitted fine. No idea how people fit in them and the furons.
@@mattheusachadinha2704 For comfort I can't really, depends on your feet. Most comfortable out of the box for me is probably the Puma Ultra 5. I've only tried the MG version though

Can i ask for your insight on the copa mundial? I have a few older pairs(samba copa mundial) and i see now in the description on the adidas site, it says K-Leather FOREFOOT. And nothing more. Very iffy🤧
Nothing that is overly similar to be honest. I like the Morelia 2 as an alternative, but there are obviously some big differences when compared to the Legend 9
I think you mean same or better than the Morelia 2, the neo 2 is not that comfortable, at least for me who has enormously wide feet. The Adler is much more comfortable yes but it depends from person to person
I have both the Morelia 2 MIJ and Adler horenso. Both super comfortable no break in time. But for me, the Morelia has a higher heel cup and plush feeling which I prefer.
@@Dshibli ye for sure. Horensos are thinner and more barefoot like. Morelias are a bit more padded. Yatagarashus have a higher heel and a bit more padding than the horenso so u might like those, although they arent quite as plush as the morelias

MIJ leather is noticeably softer out of the box and undeniably better quality overall. Having said that, the Elites, especially after some break-in time, are still fantastic!
They are not the best selling boot rn they are not even in top 5,and yes the Copa is comfortable BUT morelia 2 mij is literally like walking on clouds not only is it softer but a loooot lighter
@@Zaxstar007 They are the best selling, even currently. Ask the owner of any football shop, takedowns of mercs are the only thing that comes close in sales.
