is this an overlay on top of a video of the game? or is this a true sound replacement? if this is just overlayed on a video this is mad impressive, especially "tracking" with distant objects and such

Thanks! Yeah, it's overlayed on top. I took a linear clip of gameplay, stripped all audio, and rebuilt it. Everything's done by hand. I did the redesign in 7.1, but unfortunately had to downmix to stereo for UA-cam.
