Lusti still make it alive :) Thanks NGS!
Why are people hating on this vid? I think it looks sick
went here last year and finished the harakiri
I did that slope! Great experience...
I did harakiri and it’s pretty easy if you have good conditions but a beginner should never try it
Well done and impressive...carving on that slope is thing not many people are able to do.....impressive also your use of the inner ski.....great.......
Would have liked to see the entire runs from the peak to the bottom..... :-).
Stay healthy
Tom
.
Thanks for your support, Tom! We appreciate it... Stay healthy as well!
Well we dont actually know they did carve down it -
Three samurais!
some old czech geezer died on that last winter madness what a legend
A tip : watch series on flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Miller Stetson Yup, I've been watching on Flixzone for since november myself :D
Are you trying to introduce a snow board style Ryan Knapton-esque carving technique into skiing?
I’m all for greater edge angles and laying hip on floor but weighting the inside ski and putting your hands down on the snow across your body looks weird.
I presume you can also carve in a more ‘traditional’ style?
We are not the first to come up with this skiing technique, in any case, the snowboard technique you mention is quite similar. Some may not like it, but we don't care much - it's about the enjoyment of skiing... As for your second question, yes we can...
Its always closed when i am at that slope, but still did it. Im happy ive done that, it was so great!!!
Yeah, you're right. Hopefully they're gonna do something about it... We know that feeling! 🔝
It is generally closed for a reason. This is a MARKED and patrolled slope and there is thus a duty of care by the resort. Because the incline is steep (78% in a short section) there is a challenge for the testerone brigade of recreational skiers. I used to be a mogul competitor and pretty handy on any terrain in my 20's and far better than most in my 30's. Sadly I am now a decent skier and better than most but am in my 60's. So, returning to THIS slope. If there has been the slightest of thaw the slope is safe for competent skier - they might not be elegant in their descent but the conditions will provide grip. Ice or wind to blow the snow cover off and accidents will happen. I'd be happier on my old 210 Maxel GS skis on that slope with Look bindings than I would on any modern carving ski which, for my height would be 163-168 these days
@@angusg220 Yeap, I'd consider a GS ski for conquering the Harakiri. We did it with 165 SL skis, I wouldn't call that "skiing" - but then again, the shirt states "Survived"..
Lusti!!!
..in basketball, it's all about your shoes. Here, it's all about them shorty-skiis...try that hill with a pair of 210 cm. boards...be a real man.
2:04 Super Great Slope
👍💪

Those bindings looks interesting. Where can I find more information about it?
What exactly would you like to know about our ski bindings? If you mean those plates/pads, more info can be found here (only in Czech) - detibezpluhu.cz/product-category/ski_pads/
What kind of skis do you ride? Thank you for your answer.

Body drifting 😅on harakiri.
The finest "master way" to take the harakiri is the short turn.
I'd like to know more about the skis used in this video please.
What exactly would you like to know? These are skis from the Czech manufacturer Lusti designed especially for fun carving...
@@NGS_nongravityskiersfamily Thank you. I'd like to know how wide they are in the tip, underfoot and the tail also please.
You can find this information under the following link: www.lusti.cz/eshop-rfc-radikal-fun-carving-detail-1517-en. For example, 155 cm long skis have the following dimensions: tip 124 mm, underfoot 69 mm and tail 113 mm.
@@NGS_nongravityskiersfamily Thanks a lot!
Carving with 100% weight on the inside leg, sure...
try the 1000 steps drill
Looks a very messy "technique" and bashes the Piste up too. Not a skill at all..
How many degrees straight down is it?
Approximately 38 degrees...
NGS in sweden we have slopes with 48 degrees
@@rev8716 🙄
That's not skiing ..that's falling over with style lol
What an awful video !! LOL !! Guys if you want to make a 3 min video about this slope, then show a run down it !!
Silly Dillies!
@@vexakul9536 🤣🤣
THAT IS NOT CARVING AND THATS NOT PROPER SKI TEHNIC
and not even proper English either! Lol
Yo ....As Al Davis once said “ Just win” you can’t perform that technique without understanding how to carve a turn by toppling..... its evolution of time and technology.....and those guys hammered it and what we did on wet and dry boards in Dog town back in the late 70’s NOW GO BACK TO YOUR SNOW PLOW AND STEM CHRISTI ! I’ll apologize if you can tell me who Al Davis is .
@@santii.4619 Ok how about this : this is a B/S video..from beginning to end
If 90 % is straight down, no way it`s 78 %. It`s impossible to ski down a 78 % incline, and the incline on 0:18 where it says 78 is around 45 or 50.
78% incline mean 78m height drop on 100m horizontal distance. 100% incline = 45°
It’s 38 degrees, definitely true
thats not how % works
