I've seen a few other videos that make it look complicated but as your video shows it's quite easy. I've just replaced the missing chrome inserts on both my rear door handles. Well done, great video.
Hi just watched this video of how you took off door handle , it looks so simple. As I have to replace mine , after scrapping it on concrete post. Ouch! 😄 Thank you for the know how. Now I can do it my self.
A step missing. On my meriva b you need to move the inner latch piece forward while inserting the handle. Either use a loop of fishing line to pull it forward or take the door panel off and reach into the door to find the latch tongue. Took me 4 hours to replace the chrome inserts on the two driver side handles. Mare 🙈
Goes in first time only. Most times the latch mechanism will recede back into the door,the video should say that Had to hold it out with a bit of string, engage the handle, then pull string through. If you have to reinstall a new end piece instead of original, it will probably NOT stay in place when re tightened due to the pathetic little claws in the mechanism that hold it in place, I'm going to glue mine in place and just break it off if I ever need to in future and get a new one.
