I made baru, but I'm the type of player that abhors going off tribe. The decklist having nearly half non-wurms is way too much for my taste. I just run more ramp spells and still almost entirely to wurms. I think the only exceptions I made were realmwalker, and zopandrel for another unnatural growth type effect.

Zopandrel is gross and amazing in this deck. I like to run rampy creatures, especially in my pod, because I get attacked a lot. If I spend too many turns with no creatures, I'll die quickly. Just a personal preference and I can see your point. I vibe with it.
