I miss factions so much... I used to play this with my homies all the time after we graduated in 2014.. I no longer have a PS4 (moved on to PC) but I will always cherish those happy memories
Since they are releasing TLOU on PC in March, I am going to hope that the new Factions Multiplayer comes to PC as well. Perhaps you can ply it again there.

I went from Xbox 360 to pc and now to ps5. Honestly u can’t beat the price considering most graphics cards cost what the ps5 does. Was kinda blown away by how everything is so buttery smooth.
@@JamesBond-er1hk True but if you already have a relatively decent pc upgrading it won't cost that much, i upgraded my 5yo midrange pc with a newer ryzen cpu and a used 3080 and it cost me less than a ps5 but the games run waaaay better than a console not to mention better graphics + modding + dlss + gamepass and low prices on steam, i think it's a great time to own a pc but consoles are still nice tho now that the chip shortage is sorted out, i just wished ps5 was smaller lol i love my ps4 slim cause you can literally put it in your bag and travel since it's pretty small and light.

I love how when you go to the scoreboard I can recognize quite a few of the names. The community playing factions has been around for so long.
For real, The best part of this game was running into people you played with before and running into rival squads.

@@TheFirebreather nah its pretty cool actually. Shows the dedication of the vet players, you can also build relationships/ rivalries much easier when it's a close knit community
I definitely played this game too much and every lobby knew me for my stupid ass name. But the community was relatively small, and more personal mostly.

Having a support loadout like medic, Hawkeye or crafter can really help you team if you are still getting the hang of the combat. Lots of veteran players are still around so be cautious. Also lots of new players because of the show. Try to make some friends to make the game more enjoyable.
How are the lobbies? Is it still quite easy to find a game and good to play? Use to be one of my favourite multiplayers back in the day!

@@Jordan-ev5uk even before the show, its always been pretty easy to get into matches, just be ready for that "new or returning player against veterans" dynamic. kinda turns me off these days, no matter how good i used to be i cant keep up lol

I really do believe this multiplayer was severely underrated
stop saying it is underrated everybody is the sucking the gamemode's dick to the bone to the point when there's multiple petitions to bring it to Last Of Us 2 i would not call that underrated xd

I love the guerrilla Style fighting in this game it gives you a feeling like no other game
That’s what makes it so unique, all these other games start you off with four clips and a few bombs. This game makes you craft your own gear, buy your own ammo, most guns don’t even come with a full clip. Also, this game is heavily encouraged to work as a team. If you run a full squad with the right skills and guns, you are unstoppable.

@@sheepymiix the only other 2 action-stealth games i can think of that captures some of the same vibe are Splinter Cell Spy vs Mercs and Assassins Creed. all three need to come back and i know factions is, but svm and wanted for sure also should.

Also, the reason why he keeps straying off from his team is because of his Perk "Lone wolf", which gives him 3 extra perks at the price of needing to be alone

Use to play this so much back in the day always thought it would have been cool of they added a mode where gunfire and explosions would bring infected in. The louder the noise that happened at once the bigger the horde.
Moral of the story, lone wolf is op and if you know how to use it you will clean house every time

this is definitely the most underrated multiplayer pvp in history. I used to play it on the PS3 a long while ago. I hated it at first but after some time it all started to make sense and I was destroying. I loved the lever action rifle and revolver two shot combo, it was the dream.
Sadly they took the online down for PS3 a while ago and I couldn't play it anymore.

This was the way to counter DLC kiddies and campers while compensating for your inept team, but it was patched out of existence and there will be no reason to play again until that class is back
@@TheSundayShooter honestly it's been so long ago that I don't remember the perks, I only remember those two weapons because they were the one I used pretty much every time since it was the only DLC weapon I had. But I was more of a "Lone Wolf" kind of player.

I stopped playing lone wolf because i had always a teammate whose coming with me :/... i loved playing bow, masterclass !
That is annoying when you are trying to activate it. It’s amazing when you are able to use it freely though. Yes I’m trying to get back to the bow, I’ve been using the HR too much.
Now I’m not 100% sure what’s going on game mechanic wise and how to actually play. But I am 100% enthralled by the gameplay because it looks tense af but so rewarding once you actually understand and get the hang of it.
I miss factions man so much good memories I remember 1 guy tried to throw the game in interrogations because we were all ass so he was intentionally getting himself interrogated by the other team and some how we still caught up and won 🤣🤣 so we all started bashing on him & the other team

I'm hoping the last of us multiplayer game is like Eve online where you can conquer different sectors of the US with different factions.
Make 100 maps, 51 capitals and 49 skirmish areas, 1 skirmish area per state and 1 capital per state. The skirmish area would be like the PVP zone where any fight could happen, but the capital zone could be where you could actually capture territory for your faction but would be incredibly hard to take. Needing at least 50 players to take each capital in a faction.
You could create some of the greatest multiplayer gameplay in the last of us.
I think that the day before would be like that if it was a real game.
i kinda prefer the more personal, singleplayer meta within OG Factions, although a lot of these ideas could totally fit in with whats there. im not really into something more like an MMO raid, but in OG, you had certain goals to accomplish every few missions, depending on how you did, you would lose or gain followers, and then would have to do better next time as you gained followers to support them--i think with building a huge clan, some of the FOB online elements from MGS5 could be added, pitting you're clan against others of similar strength in real-time in the background, customizing your base to be easier to defend, taking over territories for resources to further improve your base, all while the base game is still those 4 v 4 matches for survival.

All about the original MGO. I didn’t have a ps3 when the servers were up for MGO 2. :(
@Sheepymiix Brother, you would have loved MGO2, it was just like MGO1 but just improved in every possible way. My brother and I were obsessed with MGO2. The devs held scheduled in-game tournaments twice a week, all cosmetics were bought with in game currency which you earned by playing survival/tournaments, no micro transactions, unique game modes like team sneak and the gameplay was so darn good, easy to learn but an extremely high skill ceiling. The highest possible rank was SS+ which was never achieved while the server was up. The fanbase did revive the server on PC but I'm a far too busy to playing it currently. Glad to meet another MGO player though!

It was released for the PS3 (2013) & PS4. (2014) It was not included in the recent PS5 release. (2022)
To think that my ps4 is 9 years old. Wow. Just a bit younger than my nephew. I was only 12 when this came out. Didn't start playing it online until 17.

i tried playing when it first released but i had never played any pvp mode games cause i didnt have wifi or multiplayer games and it was sooo hard, people dont know how much skill it takes to be good in factions
