Hi all, I forgot to mention where the model number is on an oven. They are usually located behind the oven door on the stove. Or they are along the bottom behind the warmer drawer. You will need the oven model number to order the ignitor
@edmorgan1527 you get the model number of your oven and go to a parts store online. Most have an exploded view of your oven. Then look at the diagram and order the part.
I needed a new surface burner igniter for my Samsung oven and this video showed me exactly how to get in there and do it. Thumbs up! But mine was badly clogged up with about 10 years of grease that was burned deeply into screw threads and all around the igniter in its holder. One screw wouldn't come out at all, even after a couple days of PBS Blaster, and just when it felt like it was moving a little, the head broke off - but at that point I could at last get the cover off. After that, I had to break the igniter free from the crud; after that, the rest was easy. Then I needed to clean the 10 years of grease from the sides of the oven and other places that never see the light of day or are even thought about. Finally, I got a tube of anti-seize out of the garage and put a dab on each of the burner screws to make the next removal a bit easier if needed. So a big job, but it's done now. Hopefully I won't have to do it again for another 10 years.
Thanks for your upload! My mom just did this to her stove last night, with it being the right burner. Now I’ll get the fun job of doing this. Appreciate the step by step replacement.
Thanks man it all makes sense now. A certain someone was cleaning her stove and now it doesnt work on one side. Looks like she broke the igniter. Its 1am so i turned off the gas and will deal with it in the morning 😂 appreciate the help
Ok im back😂. The front roght burner wont light, isnt making a clicking noise either. I shut it off because i could smell a little gas. What part would i need?
@Hiddencomment007 no click at all on any burner or just that one? If it clicks with other burners turn on another one so it clicks and try that one. If it lights off the ignitor is working. All ignitors pop when any burner is lighting. If it's that one not popping only, focus should go to the knob circuit
I have a Samsung gas range just like this and when I want to use a phase and I turn the knob all the igniters start sparking.Does anyone have this type of experience and what to do to get this issue fixed.I don't want to work blindly,I want to know what exactly is the problem to know what exactly to do to get things right.
Yes, the ignitor does not Differentiate between the burners. When you initiate an ignition, they will all spark. This is why a broken one will prevent them all from working
This is the wife....I wipe down once a week with a solution of vinigar and water. When the stove gets super dirty or greasy, i use a heavy duty grease cleaner. The cleaner is called Method Heavy Duty Degreaser. When needed I soak the metal burners in hot soapy water, and scrub with a semi hard brush. The tops of the burners get to soak once a week, along with the knobs. The grate is cast iron, so when i clean the oven, i put them into the oven to be cleaned. Best tip ever is to clean as you go. i have come into a lot of set grease or food, and I use the degreaser and a brush on the stove top. I try to keep up with the cleaning, i am afraid of scratching my stove top. I hope this helps.
In my situation, the front right burner clicks, but sometimes doesn't spark. You usually get it after a few tries, then it'll light. All the other burners light quick as they should. Just the front right one is the one with the issues. Should I be looking to replace the whole spark module or just this one white igniter for the burner with the issue?
The ignitor module sparks all of them at once, so it is unlikely it will fail on just one ignitor channel. The module would likely work, or fail completely. After ooking at other videos (not his one) a common ignitor problem is it is shorted with greasy crud. Sometimes cleaning the ignitor tip helps, sometime the ignitor must be replaced.

This was super helpful. We have the same model and the same problem. Just followed the video step by step and wallah! It worked. Thanks so much 👍

Followed your directions. Now ONLY the middle ignitor works. 4 outside ignitors no longer click. Previously all four but the broken one ignited.

What’s the part number?
each ignitor has its own part number.

Yes, the ignitor does not
Differentiate between the burners. When you initiate an ignition, they will all spark. This is why a broken one will prevent them all from working
ant tips your wife has for cleaning her stove ?

I believe just the individual igniter is faulty
