- Manipur CM N Biren Singh urged both Meitei and Kuki communities to “forgive and forget” and move forward towards restoring peace and brotherhood while claiming that the violence was instigated by some "vested interest" and "outside elements".
What do the youth of Manipur want? What are their expectations from the Centre & the State? What do they feel about the crisis in their home state and what needs to be done to restore peace and faith among the communities?

Yes, History of Manipur never shows the settlement of meitei community in the hills nor the tribes settle in the valley. Let meiteis live in the so call Manipur (700 sq miles or 1812.9 sq km) as Schedule Tribe (if they insist) after Zomi-Kuki are being administered separately and the Kuki Zo live in the hills as either under UT, State or Greater Mizoram. The tribals are never ready to leave our ancestral land, which is our rights and our dignity. Let both the meiteis & Kuki Zo live in their own ancestral land to be a good neighbours rather than a fighting members in the family.

And it is the militant of kuki who were attacking Meitei and Meitei didn't have militants in the fight, Our villages are defended by village volunteer and sometimes help by state police (as police knows militants under soo were breaking the ground rule, kuki yathithang even killed Meitei civilians at night while sleeping) Meitei militants had been reduced and decreased and can compare to "no militants" so they were not in the fight..
If the fight was happened on 1990s, All the kuki might be wiped out in just two days as on that time Meitei militants were very large.... And also yathithang kuki militants were also once trained by Meitei militants called UNLF....

That Kuki girl is too immature to be in a discussion on peace. She went to defensive mode the moment Tirthankar mentioned how the clash started. You could see the irritation in her eyes while Tirthankar was reasonable the whole time.

The wounds are already too deep now. I dont think I can ever forgive what has happened to me and my community. Not a single person is apprehended till date while 90+ kuki-zo were killed on 3 and 4th of May 2023. How can there ever be peace with a government and a community that cannot see their fault for the attrocities they have committed in butchering 100s in broad daylight without an iota of guilt. I WILL NOT be willing to forgive even if each and every member of meetei community beg me and eat shit to show their penitence, instead they audaciously called for peace without even acknowledging their attrocities. Only a person worse then a FOOOOOL would accept such peace.
As for me and my family, we will never again be with the meetei. Not in a 1000 generations. Over my Dead Body!!!! I can forgive them but i cannot be together with them. EVER.

I do understand both communities as an African living in Manipur for eleven years. I am a family man, and i have also not lost hope because bad and good will always pass. Human will always resolve conflict and initiate conflicts..so it's the common sense which is not common
