Yes, please make a whole video on hosting meetings that don't suck
will do 😁
Come for the productivity, stay for the positivity! :) Even when your videos don't directly relate to my situation, I still find value in them, but to be honest the positive energy you put into every video is what keeps me watching!
"Come for the productivity, stay for the positivity" I LOVE THIS Adriana! Thanks for coming up with my future tagline 😂
And thank you again for the kind comment. I'll try to keep it up 😁
@@JeffSu My pleasure 😆 Looking forward to your next postings.
I really appreciate that you always cite articles and give original authors the proper credit instead of taking their key points as something you've come up with - something I've seen a lot of people do. And your additional insights are super helpful to build on those key points. Thanks for sharing!
Of course! Because none of those were my ideas and I definitely want to give credit where credit is due!
Hahahahaha I’m so lucky to have you two as my friends! 😆 yes I’m showing off only at the comment section 🤣
Hahaha glad to call you my friend too Beiyu 😁
Thanks for sharing Jeff (and credit to Zara as well)! Anyone who can prove they can do these deserves a job offer right away from us!
Thanks for the vote of confidence 😁
I just recently found your channel when I was searching for a synopsis on ‘The First 90 Days’. I subscribed and share your videos with colleagues. Your channel is invaluable. I appreciate the time you take, and even purchased some of your offerings. Thank you!😊
Woohoooo thank you my friend 😁

That's great to hear Bradley! Thank you 😁
THANKS Jeff!! This is going to be significantly helpful as I am currently starting out my career by creating a new position for myself. That really has to “make things happen”.
That's AWESOME J Lin! Please let me know how it goes 😁
The last part makes so much sense....because of manager and not because of the Firm...also u had some great points on stake holder part...i am facing this situation and have made a note of so much from here...
Glad to hear it! Best of luck my friend 😁
Love the clear step breakdown of roles and how-tos, thank you! Yes please do share a video on how to host a productive meeting :)
Haha will do 😁
Wow! Your tricks and tips are going to help me start my career in near future!!!
I sincerely hope so Ushnish! 😁
Hi Jeff, as someone who recently joined to the corporate world, I fully agree with most of this information. I also had to learn a few of these tips in a very harsh way.
Definitely know who does what would be tip #1 also in my opinion. Not only because of what you've mentioned in the video but also because when you first start a new job you are pretty much setting the basis of how you work. Therefore, if you seem to be a few steps back from the beginning, it's very likely that you will be tagged as so.
Thanks for your content, I learn a lot from your videos. I wish I'd had access to your videos a while ago.
Hi Jose! Thanks so much for the kind comment and you're spot on! Glad you're here now 😁
insightful but learnt it the hard way ages ago.
Hahaha I definitely learned these the hard way as well!
Your tips & tricks make my life easier and productive. BTW congratulations jeff for 🎉200K subscribers🎉
Thank you my friend 😁😁
thanks jeff! this is exactly what i needed right now!
You're very welcome 😁
Great research Jeff as usual ! The energy is crazy on your video 🌻🦋💜
Hahaha this is a very passionate topic of mine! 😁
Hi Jeff, I wanted to Thankyou. One year ago I watched your video about job interview tips. At that time I was driving two and a half hours away from home for work and it wasn’t very productive or profitable, so I was recommended for a job in my home town and I used your interview tips and I just passed my one year anniversary. Now I’ll use this video to accelerate my career
Thanks for making my day with your comment Katherine! I always love to hear success stories like this! I have no doubt your career will go amazingly well 😁
@@JeffSu 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hii Jeff, Thank You for such informative to the point Videos, they are helping me in my first Job.
You're very welcome my friend 😁
As someone still very new to the corporate world, some of these tips I’m already learning the hard way while others are new to me and really insightful! I’ll be checking that article out, thanks Jeff :D
By the way, congrats on 200k subs! I’m really happy to see your channel get the recognition and traction it deserves 😊
Thank you Andrea! Can't believe you stuck with me since like...what, 10K subs?
I think it was 3k actually! You’ve come such a long way and I loved watching your channel grow 😊
@@Andrea_Dong Okay WOW. I mean you being around for that long is just as impressive 😆

Interesting insights! Many of the above can be applied to one's progressive career path.
Yes for sure! 😁
I'm here to watch this for the 5th million times, your content is just INCREDIBLE! 💎
No wonder I have so much ad revenue from just this video alone 😏

Good video Jeff. Need more information and videos on the topic of managing office co workers to effectively drive our career. Thanks
Got it, thanks for the idea Saif 😁
@@JeffSu Welcome Jeff🙌... Looking forward for more career oriented content like this.
Your videos are incredible.
Thank you Philip 😁, I think so too 😉
CONTENT? What's this, UA-cam? Another interesting one!! Congrats Jeff! 🤗
Hahaha thanks Cess! Glad you enjoyed this one 😁
Yes to the meeting video please!
Will do! 😁
Jeff and Zara Collab cool bro😊
I wish!
Tips and trick is like a life saver especially the last part.🤭
Glad to hear it 😁
Nobody ever talks about what biscuits/cake to bring to the meetings ;-)
That's a great point Mark! You might be half joking but if you're new and you're hosting a meeting where others don't know you, bringing coffee/food is a great way to buy some goodwill!
Great Video Bruh, BTW some parts may be a bit too fast to keep up.
Thanks for the feedback Juan 😁
Awesome information for me to action on immediately. Side note, where is that jacket from? 🤔 👀
Glad to hear it Darryl! That jacket is from a random Chinese brand 😅
Please do a video on how to host meetings that doesn't suck!
Will do 😁
Jeff literally inspires me every video. That's a huuugee accomplishment. F the Harvard Crimson lol
Hahaha thank you Alexa 😁
Hi Jeff, ☺️ have you been asked to be a mentor for someone? Would you be open to sharing any tips on how to be a mentor (& vice versa, how to ask someone to be one for you)? Love your communication style & All your guidance, content & humor❣️
Hm...I guess I have! That's a good idea, thanks for letting me know 😁
@@JeffSu ☺️🎉
Way to many meeting could have been an email, I often refuses to attend meetings, with no info in the invite, I dealt with it, in my precious company a lot, and management wasn't really fund of me turning down meetings, but when they understood why, they started to invest a few minutes, in putting information about the meetings in the invitations. My time can be used way better to attend a meeting called info, or lets talk.
Wow nice!
Hey Jeff, where do you get the icons and figures in your videos? Do you have someone that makes those specifically for your videos? Or are you getting them from a stock website?
Flaticons!
@@JeffSu thanks, my man!! ❤️
wow subbed
Welcome 😁

Why thank you Ken 😁
I'm 42 and interviewing for a product marketing role.

Hi Jeff! Have been applying your advice and strategies shared in the previous videos for a while. And I LOVE how PRACTICAL they are.
I am wondering if it's possible for you to share your insights about the following two topics (which you probably have been planning) in the following videos:
1) your transitioning journey from a consultant to Product/Project Manager: what's the mindset difference between the two?
2) the workflow of project management & technical skills for someone who wanna succeed in project management!
Thank you so much in advance!
Practical is my middle name! Glad you enjoyed the videos Coco!
1. I'm actually a Product Marketing Manager haha (different vs. Product Manager). But I might do a video on the transition someday!
2. I already have an event management video up that basically answers your question 😁
@@JeffSu can't wait to watch the career transition video! (tks for clarifying the difference!)
wishlist: can you do a brutally honest career Q&A. thanks
What questions would you ask :)
Yay Jeff
Thanks Kelvin 😁
I am interested in your newsletter. Would you give me access to a few so that I can decide if the cost is worth my investment?
You can see some of the past ones for free: www.jeffsu.org/productivity-ping/
Thanks, Jeff!
At my workplace, we have a "chain of command", but it's useless because of favoritism. You can complain all you want, but if the person you're complaining to doesn't see the benefit for THEM to act on it, then they won't. If you don't go to them you're given the excuse of "you didn't say anything", and if you go to them and they don't do anything and then you go higher, then you're again accused of "not following the chain of command". I know who the boss, who does what, and who I can go to, but none of that really matters where I work.
So...basically you need to learn how to influence without authority 😂
@@JeffSu I'm not sure what I said was funny. This is a pretty serious situation. Help me out here. I'm in a leadership role, my colleagues and I are at our wit's end, most of the time it seems pointless to try and direct anyone because like you said we don't really have any authority, and those under us tend to know that.
@@atlantic_love I'm also not really joking because I think what you're describing happens in every single workplace in the world. I've certainly seen my fair share.
And in my opinion, the best way to go about this is figure out what the other people want and provide them with value to influence them. Maybe you don't like them, but if you want to stay at the workplace, you gotta deal with it. Or you can just leave. It sounds brutal but for me, I work with what I'm given, not what I wish were true
@@JeffSuOh I love what I do, but don't like where I work, unfortunately there really are very few employers around me for the kind of work I do. At my age of 51 it's getting "late" to change, if you know what I mean :) You are correct.
Nice outfit... Is that from Zara also? :D
Unfortunately not 😂
Bruh, some parts you explained is a bit too fast, Would help if you would slow down at times.Great Video BTW
Gotcha! 😁
Seems you really like Zara))😁
Perhaps 😏
I've been doing this for 10 years already.... unconsciously
That's amazing! Congrats!
Key takeaway: 06:33 Get a snapshot of your colleague commenting on boss wearing something GROSS🤗
Shhhhhhh don't tell EVERYONE 😅
Please make a video about functioning in a workplace where nobody operates like this 😂 I work in for the state and it is so inefficient and unproductive, these methods are great but come off like you’re doing too much
Maybe it's time to find a better workplace 😉. Just kidding but in my opinion Jasmine holding myself to a higher standard than everyone else isn't such a bad thing 😁
@@JeffSu I love what I do but know that we could make a greater impact if we didn’t spend hours hand jamming things that can be automated 🥴 but I agree, strive for better! Lol
@@jasminew8442 For sure!
Man how to happy in life
Watch Jeff Su's videos? 😏
