Happy birthday LoLo. Shed be 31 as of yesterday. Its been 3 years since my fiance passed. Anytime I played Mez she'd tell me to play Morris next. I always said this song is my life and she knew what it meant to me and she loved it more than i did. Rest in Power baby girl
I remember being n his momma house with him. RIP, him constantly on music .. inspiring fruition and originality. Morris, one of my biggest inspirations.
Nelson Betancourt it ain’t. There are parts of the area that area. Downtown Raleigh is really nice now, but South RAleigh, and northeast Raleigh where I live are definitely not beautiful. Not anymore at least..
Been listening to this for 2 years, hope God taking care of you n carrying you thru your struggles w as little pain as possible these days. Thank you for helpin me not feel so alone
First time hearing Mez after seeing the Dr. Dre - Compton Soundtrack track listing and the few joints I just heard so far are dope AF. I can't wait to hear him on Dre's album.
went down the King Mez rabbit hole, and ended up here... and a Sub happened. What stunning visuals and such subtle ambiance... almost trance like. I see a Wrekkage in your future...
King mez where is the Music? Your working with dre i Think you have more fans then you expect Read to hear you. I really hope you make some more Music ir would be awesome.
I've been supporting this dude and Jon Connor so hard like I do Cole, Kendrick, Soul, Omen, etc. and it hurts to know that the only way that they will get the recognition that they deserve is if they "make it" because people are so afraid to think outside of the box and discover for self. This is my dude I hope he comes to the land, I'm going.
oh man, I've been wanting to connect with rap for a long time and up to this point, it did not happen until I ran across you and I got a fever with this song. I can't begin to explain how much I relate to this song. Of course I have no idea of the pain and experience you speak of from personal experience but I do know pain and I got swallowed up in it and just like your line says "Want to graduate from my past but almost too scared for new courses" I stayed lost for a long time. I can't thank you enough for you being you and for writing this song! the entire outdo is exactly where I'm at today as an artist and a human being. You challenged me so much with talking about "typing up what you will never speak out" man that hits deep in a very good way. I needed to hear that " pain is what we need to grow"!! I've been learning to sit with my pain and not try to chase it away or pretend its not there and now you've inspired me to take that pain and pour it into my art. You give me hope for myself and for a lot of other people in this world! And to share how I experience the music in song, those chords and that keyboard patch speaks to my soul! That video room is incredible and feeling I got in there helps me to see the hard things but knowing I can rise above this pain and do something good with my life brings me so much hope. I look forward to hearing the rest of your music and to learn about your story and who you are as person and an artist. I have finally made a beginning and a deep connection with an artist that uses rap and music to express himself. Thanks for the jolt of inspiration
Been listening to him for about a year now. and me and my brother were saying he is going to be the next big thing in hip hop. This dre album might actually make that happen
The most underrated rapper ever! I got the pleasure to meet him once. Morris was a military kid just like me both born in Tennessee but. We have a lot in common I was just a 14 year old who didn't even know what bars were at the time and I thought you And Napoleon wright tore it up at my school when yall performed lifestyles of a military brat. And that's real. I want to make art like you do. I know this may sound weird man but can you help me out and tell me if this is any good? Tell where to go from here! So rhyming words is my desire. It wasn't a plan for me to ever get this inspired. It's just Crazy how this art is so easy to admire. If I fail The consequences will be dire! I gotta Set the flame to the fire! One day if you ever wanna see me again. Go wherever the smoke is burnin. I want you to teach me cuz I could defiantly use some learnin. If the flame goes out then my dream did too. You'll find me and probably just stare. And see me suffocating cuz i had no FRESH AIR. I know it's rough man but I came up with it before this in less than 4 minutes. Thanks for reading I greatly appreciate it!
Man I get you make killer beats and produce more now but damn Mez can you start dropping more tracks like this. Still top 5 songs in rotation till this day
Found out about King Mez just yesterday because of Dr. Dre's new album announcement, and so far this dude is dope. It's crazy how he's relatively unknown, and gets the opportunity to get on Dre's new and final album. Is he Dre's new protégé? Even if he isn't, hopefully him being on Dre's album changes up hip hop like how every Dre album has.
Damn that's a really great video. I like the tie in at the end with the previous video. It was already a great song, sometimes videos take away from the song but not in this case.
