I know, it sounds boring. Math can be hard, but it’s worth it. Watch any of those popular dating shows and you’ll see,
      Question 1. What’s your name?
Question 2. What do you do for work?
Question 3. How many board feet are in this board?
Question 4. What do you look for in a partner?
It’s seems strange I know but it’s really important to most people. Thanks for watching!

1 square foot is 12inches x 12inches = 144 square inches. Why is this a unit of measurement that is used? No idea lol, I'm just a guy who likes math!

That’s a great question, I board foot is similar to a square foot except that a board foot a depth as well. Both a square foot and a board foot are 1’ by 1’. There’s 12” in a foot and 12”x12” is 144” a board foot is 1” thick and 144 times 1 is still 144. All that being said it’s still a very silly number but most of the imperial are. A cubic yard is 3x3x3 so whenever you need to solve for yardage you need to divide by 27, and an acre is 53,560 square feet or 208.7’x208.7’. Like I said it’s silly but you kind of get used to it. I hope that helps and thanks so much for watching!
