Proving Parallel Lines with Angle Relationships
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- 👉 Learn about converse theorems of parallel lines and a transversal. Two lines are said to be parallel when they have the same slope and are drawn straight to each other such that they cannot meet. In geometry, parallel lines are identified by two arrow heads or two small lines indicated in both lines.
A transversal is a straight line crossing two parallel lines. There are various angle relationships formed when a transversal crosses two parallel lines. They include: alternate interior angles, alternate exterior angles, corresponding angles, consecutive interior angles, etc.
Similarly, when given two lines being crossed by a transversal and the angle relationships, we can determine if the two lines are parallel using the converse of the given angle relationship's theorem.

I love how he repeats and almost shouts the main ideas of the steps many times because it really helped me, as someone who has a hard time focusing, understand the concept
I swear he teaches me more than my actual math teacher

I've been trying to figure this out on my own, but watching you I figured it out in 8 minutes! Thanks so much I have a test and this helped by leaps and bounds :)
the way i wish i had this teacher instead of my own, so helpful
At first I judged you with your haircut but then I realized vin diesel and dwayne johnson are the champs and so are you. Thanks a lot man ;)
HEY don't judge a book by its cover.

MEEEE, i’m literally in tears 😭
@@jessicansougan6805 ok this comment was ten months ago and now youre done with geometry for the rest of your life and im SO jealous of u because i'm taking it right now and hate it😭😭😭
@@helena-gz4bh good luck 🥲 you got this AND TBH geometry wasn’t that bad once you get it 😭 because you can’t really cheat in geometry it’s all about solving it. It’s easier then alg 2
@@helena-gz4bh This comment was 2 years ago so it means you're done with geometry so I'm jealous you now😭😭😭:D
Professor say greeting to your pupils from me. Im from Karakalpakstan Republic in the Central Asia. Your videolessons helped me a lot. Nowadays Im working with math deeply
Not all heroes wear capes, some where cool button up shirts and teach with swag.
it helps me a lot...thanks a lot
you are very welcome Aayusha! happy to be able to help you out!
this man taught me more in an 8 minute video than a 30 minute video on the actual worksheet did
You are the best Math professor.
This video just got me a 100 on my math quiz, thank you!
Love it
@@brianmclogan this video got me a 100 on the same quiz my friend took
It was an amazing explanation impressive 👏 🙂
Thank you! 😃
I understand from this teacher more than my math teacher
Thanks this helped so much

thanks sir and now I will copy this explanation on my maths sir😂😂

First you have to prove that these two lines are parallel. just by drawing it on the ballon doesn't make them parallel.
if you draw a transversal line do you have alternate equal angles ? no.
For angles that don’t have measures and simply numbers, won’t they need to be solved with same side interior angles theorem, corresponding angles theorem, or the linear pair postulate? (Sorry if it’s a long question, I also may have confused you along the way)

Hello Dear Professor. Are you native American?
Hi
All y’all here cuz of corona too
COVID
BTW are you trying to show off your medals
still not explains why they are parallel
🤦🏻♂️
@@brianmclogan i might be wrong, but to my memory, when i was a kid in China, I learned the "perpendicular transversal theorem" as a postulate and use this to prove "corresponding angles theorem". Now when i look through my daughter's text book. it seems the later one is a postulate.
