I've been really liking the Bulgarian split squat with the back foot elevated on a chair. I like that it keeps the spine neutral. With my long legs my knees are going to go in front of my toes in any squat. My old power lifting coach called my Jimny Cricket because my knees stuck out so much. I'll have to try this out though I think it will help build confidence in my knees for other lifts.
I would rather see you do a session of splitsquats where someone could follow along. Theres plenty of videos explaining a split squat so it would be nice seeing some workouts
Is it important to keep my hips squared? I have no problem with knee fully covering the hamstring, but only with back leg turned out. If i keep my hips square, i feel block in my front hip like my back hip flexor is limiting
Absolutely amazing
Thx for great video
Awesome breakdown! Thank you, very helpful

Should you be doing the bulk of the lift with your front leg or do you assist the lifting with the back leg that is stretched behind you?

I’ve tried doing these raised and no weight. My left knee hurts to try bending this way. Do I only bend my knee where it doesn’t hurt?
ATG in ref to Ben Patrick is Athletic Truth Group.
I agreed but then went back to a program from Ben years ago and it is actually Ass to Grass.
@@TaylorDMiller Ahhhh, very interesting!
