I don't want to argue, I absolutely respect your opinion. But I believe that Iwamura deserved and loved her more than Nobu did, simply because he was able to forgive her for what she did on Amami. He also made sure for all those years that she gets by (by asking Mameha to take care of her) without having a clue that she even recognised him, let alone loved him back. But I agree that Nobu didn't absolutely deserve what he got - the love of his life betraying him, along with his closest friend. Poor man.

So it would be wrong to blame he it was just the circumstances which lead to such consequences. However its happy that she found her love at the end atleast
I am so glad I am still recieving comments on this! Thank you all who have watched and enjoyed it. I still love the movie but I feel that Nobu deserved to find someone too. Of course the heart ultimately chooses what it wants and that does not make any of the main characters in the movie bad or selfish. Also, I am not really trying to ship something against what the movie has already displayed. It is just my view of Nobu's heartbreak. To me, it seemed that it took a lot for Nobu to fall in love and it would take a lot for him to fall out of love too.

Quite right if we look upon the situation superficially. However you see if was just her profession because of which she had to be polite to Nobu and honor him with her company and show love. It was all just a part of being a Geisha. It's not right I think to say that Sayuri betrayed him as she also has a life. It's really a good thing that keeping aside everything she finally got the Chairman. It was just a part of her profession to be polite and lovable to Nobu, however Sayuri as Chiyo cannot be made to love someone whom she doesnt.
No.if you have read the book,you will understand that Nobu gave her a life.he saved her.so,I feel that atleast should have tried to be with him instead of trying to deceive him.he deserved the truth and gratitude.not all relationships are based on love at first sight.Chio as sarayu wished for chairman but Nobu actually loved her. She wasnt bound to return love or affection to Nobu as a person but only as a geisha. And I dont think so we should be keeping someone in the bracket of a betrayer or a deceiver just because they love someone else and the one who helped them. Sayuri never loved Nobu, he was always a good friend. I think it's wrong to frame her as a deceiver.
I didn't tell she is a deceiver on the whole.atleast,she could have told Nobu the truth instead of trying to get him to see her sleeping with someone else.i feel that he deserved the truth.she may not love him but hurting him in order to get rid of him is wrong.didnot Nobu deserve a little bit of honest gratitude from her?
