Wrong, a 5-speed manual Meriva mostly type y3w394 / f17 takes 1.6ltr from fully empty and the leveler plug is just behind the leftwheel driveshaft on the gearbox!
Is it the same gear box on diesel version ?
Many diesel versions come with the same gearbox top-up heater hole also.
