Thank you for your video. You teach very well and are very genuine and honest in your approach. In fact quite a rare thing in UA-cam world. Well done and if, no make that when, I can comfortably juggle 4 ball I will send you a short video of me doing so. Thank you again.👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤
Thank you for this! I’m ALMOST there comfortably getting 4 balls down. I got in a head on car wreck in July and broke my neck and shattered my knee. After I recovered from surgery and healing I noticed it was SUPER hard to juggle 3 balls. I’ve known how to Juggle 3 balls since I was 12 years old. Now at 46 years old I’ve gotten back my coordination and started going beyond what I did before which was easily juggling 3 balls and switching to two in each hand at will. I never really looked into juggling 4 until now and this video got me there!!
I found you on tik tok ! My whole life I’ve always wanted to learn how to juggle and now I that I’m older I think I’m actually gonna be serious about practicing. I LOVE that you are serious about other people learning and your not just showing off your talent and really want people to come to you with questions and everything. you’re a great teacher !
THIS IS AWESOME!!! I think you're the first person from tik tok over to UA-cam :-D and thank you so much!!! What kinda stuff would you like to learn about juggling?
I learned how to juggle the 4-ball fountain when I was 17 in 1993. There was no UA-cam then, and I had to learn from a book. I think it took 3 or 4 weeks. My 4-ball endurance record was about 40 seconds which was better than my 2 balls in one hand record which is interesting. Due to injuries that also affected my coordination I had to quit. I miss it, but that is just life. The book also explained how to juggle the 5-ball cascade. That is difficult to learn from a book. I couldn't find anyone that could teach me until my 20s, before the days of high speed internet. Back in those days, one might have to travel an hour or two to get lessons from an advanced juggler. My 5-ball record is 30 catches.
That’s a tough spot to be at. You can feel the start of the rhythm! So you’re super close. Focus on getting to 50 and with each hand, that should take you to 15-16 total throws once your weaker hand can get to 50. Then it’s just little tweaks and you’ll be fully juggling 4 in no time. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks for the advice about when it goes wrong. e.g. what's happening to me is that my left hand is not as consistent as my right hand. I've managed to do 50 throws in my left hand, but just a couple of times. It's usually 10 throws at the most. I'll keep practising. Other 4 ball juggling videos I've seen tend to focus on just how to do it, rather than acknowledging that it can actually go wrong and take time. This has given me a renewed motivation to keep on practising. I'll put up a video on my channel when I can do it. (I have a few three ball vids)
Oh, and I wanted to add that the hardest part for me was that I wasn’t used to juggling 2 balls from the inside outward. My brain had the toughest time making my hands throw the balls that direction!! I have always been fine with either throwing front to back with one and and from outside to inside. Man it took forever to make my hands do that. Then I didn’t want to let go when starting 4 balls so I just threw the balls in the air correctly and didn’t catch. That trained my brain to let go of the balls. But the same rhythm actually kind of applies as juggling three. Thanks again for the help!! I just got clubs yesterday and almost have 3 already.
awesome! It's always the little tweaks that make our brain understand it. I'm glad you got it. My dad told me I should upload some club tutorials but I don't have a good spot to record videos for clubs currently.
Nice! I learned to juggle 4 balls but simultaneously months ago and found it hard to do it the way when it looks like they were crossing… but now I they aren’t. Just watched you doing it and tried it myself and the first tries are pretty good 👍🏻 😊 Now it’s only practice. I was quite comfortable with both, the left and the right hand, to juggle two balls in different ways. Thanks for this video!!
Never been able to get more than 10 tosses with 4 balls. Now it makes a lot more sense. Thanks man. I also find I do better with "dead" balls or bean bag like balls. If they have too much bounce, I make more drops.
oh yeah the bean bag type of balls make it so much easier. You don't have to run around chasing them! If you don't have any yet, check this article I wrote out, jugglingsecrets.com/what-are-the-best-juggling-balls-for-beginners/
I tried learning 4 balls the same way I learnt 3, ie just throwing them up in the air until I could. Then I realised that the balls were not crossing and tried to start crossing them and it was really hard, it's nice to see that I was doing it correct the first time
same! I ended up learning from some kid at a golf tournament when I was about 10 years old lol. I saw him on the practice green before the tourney started and he was juggling 4 balls. I went over and asked him how he did it... turned out it was just 2 balls in each hand lol
I can do the single ball juggling with no problem. I can do this one-handed 2 ball for whatever time you want me to do. However, when I go to do synchronous both arms at the same time I can only do it for about 4 to 5 tosses. I find the asynchronous even harder (left/right etc.). Any tips to do both arms at the same time. I find the balls hit each other the moment I start to do both arms at the same time.
Hi, your video really sums up the hardship of evening both harms, thank you. Could you tell me what size are the "balls" your using? I'm using 65mm, but my hands can almost close with the three on it. lolol Cheers
Good tip about trying to get to 50 throws with your non-dominant hand, which is my issue right now. Thanks. One suggestion would to use the words clockwise, and counterclockwise, when describing the juggling.
good idea! I should start incorporating those words into my teaching. It's kinda tough with videos since they sometimes are the reverse with the camera.
In my opinion it’s the easiest to keep track of, but it can be up to you. If your first 2 additional throws are good, you can keep going. The important part is once it gets out of control to stop and restart. That way you don’t develop bad habits around the pattern. Does that make sense?
@@JugglingSecrets got 3 balls down very comfortable now, with some variations. Did the separate hand practice a lot and started trying 4 balls last week. Would say I got an average of 6 throws and getting some 8's and 10's in there too. It's starting to get better!
@@JugglingSecrets watched part of the video again and gonna focus on getting the different patterns again, forgot about that... Got the columns down with my right hand though :)
@@JugglingSecrets I kept at it and now got about 20/30 catches average. Still needs a lot of work mainly on my left hand but should be consistent within the next month or so😁
I think it’s important to work on getting the 2 balls/1 hand down well in each hand WITHOUT trying to put them way out to either side like you will when doing 4. Not saying you taught this. I just remember it being a barrier trying to do 2 in my left in anticipation of doing 4. Once I gave myself permission to just do it do HOWEVER was natural, I learned it faster. Then putting both hands to work came naturally
Yes I can do 4 ball, but its not so solid. I usually mess up within 10 seconds. It is fun to practise, Ive now done 470 with my weak hand without dropping, and working on lots of 3 ball pattern as well, the box, factory, shower, backcrosses, and others. I started juggling 5 month ago

How do you do 4 ball with the balls crossing between the hands?
throw: left, right, right, left, left, right...
Started when you were 8?? That's great. That's the way to do it.

Agree. I like to tell people to work towards 50 throws in each hand by itself before combining the two.
Why do you think I'm right hand dominant but when I juggle with my left hand it feels more comfortable
that's a great question... and I'm not sure. Do you brush your teeth with your left hand? Could be a comfort thing.

This is a poor man’s 4 ball juggle. It’s really only juggling 2 balls in each hand.
That’s the basics of juggling 4 balls, 2 in each hand. Same with 6, just 3 in each hand.
