I hope they skip a year again with Assassin's Creed, the extra year is really noticeable. All the little details like these make it so cool and makes it worth exploring.
All Assassin's Creed games had little details like this for people that looked for them. Gameranx might even have videos about the easter eggs in some of the other games too. @MR. J, Most Ubisoft games have had microtransactions for a while. Hell I think the first Ezio game had them. If not then at least 2 of the 3 in the Ezio trilogy had them.
Every game AC took a year off. Origins isn't the only AC game being made. Normally another AC game would've released this year, but now that Origins released it gave another dev team an extra year to work on their AC game.
Sydul Choudhury when i was in the desert a flying was moving in a peaceful and graceful manner and calming music began too play..... which is a nod to the indie game journey
You left this out. While playing the game I found a Final Fantasy reference. In Saqqara Nome you can find a mission call “gift from the gods.” If you complete the puzzle a Final Fantasy character will come out and do some crazy stuff and fly off on a mechanical dragon. After that Bayek gets a legendary sword, shield, and Chocobo camel mount.
That quest wasn't out when this video was made. Lol that quest wouldn't even fit in this video. This video is about easter eggs, and secrets. Ubisoft literally made multiple public announcements about releasing the "Gift From the Gods" quest, so everyone knew it was coming.
The one with the wall of the north actually has a deeper thought. If you go to the map and look at the north there actually is a wall. And a fact that makes this even funnier, is, that you can read a note on the wall that says that it must be more exciting to work at the military point.
When you view the info for the "predator arrow", you follow the arrow into the red-shirt's knee. Not a headshot, not a bodyshot, the knee. Poor guy, he could have been an adventurer...
That's more what easter eggs mean... not "oh you get this sword as a quest reward later in the game, and you can buy a unicorn from the ubisoftstore!.... but don't tell anyone, it's totally a secret!"
I found a rare spear in the game called Needle and it’s description reads “stick em with the pointy end”. Seems to me a reference to Arya Stark’s blade from Game of Thrones.
@@littv1610 Same, bleeding + spear is a wonderful combination, especially for larger groups and animals. I honestly think some Epic weapons hold up to the Legendary ones in their categories.
Grass is always greener on the other side, eh? The Roman Empire actually DID have a GoT-like "wall to the North" for real: Hadrian's Wall between England and Scotland.
5:13 to save you guys some time, not only do you have to complete all 12 align the stars, you ALSO have to collect 50 silica, that can be found in the tombs you explorer. The Silica is what gets you that outfit inside the vault. The align the stars only opens that vault
It looks Destiny inspired is what he was trying to say. It obviously couldn't be something FROM Destiny without permission, but it looks like something that wouldn't be out of place there.
You were able to pet cats (and dogs. And feed pigs and chickens and cows and turkeys) in AC 3, 4, and Rogue. It's more of a feature than an Easter Egg at the point.
Paul Lane totally not like a compass that can change direction to a specific item makes any sense at all really needs the pillow of assassin creed lore to help it make sense
My favorite Easter egg is Bayeks blade. Aya says it was used to kill Xerxes. Long time fans will remember from the sanctuary in ACII that it was the first recorded use of the hidden blade. Bayek also has a string around his finger to activate the blade, before Altair modified it.
I found an Easter egg at a temple near the first pyramids. There's a tomb with hieroglyphics represent two characters from FFXV. Now, I'm pretty sure there are greater secrets hidden within the tomb. One of the pillars in front of it contains a strange blue crystal that can be seen using camera mode. Anyone who's good at piecing things out and would like to cooperate on this, let me know! The Watchdogs and A.C. universe absolutely take place in the same canon. There are other Ubisoft games that do as well.
When trying to align the Apis constellation, you can hear Khemu asking Bayek "what is best in life?". After Bayek's explanation, Khemu says that a friend of his (canot remember his name) says "to crush your enemies and hear the lamentation of the women". Bayek answers "we are Medjay, not barbarians". An obvious reference to Conan The Barbarian.
There’s an Easter Egg that references the Mummy in Dodjer’s pyramid. (Don’t know if I spelled that right). It’s the only “step” pyramid that you can enter. Imhotep was the name of Mummy in the film but he was actually loosely based on an actual Egyptian priest. He was also an architect, a healer, an alchemist, philosopher, and knew many other trades. He built many of the first pyramids which were the step pyramids that you see near the Great Pyramids he also built the Tomb of Dodjer which is the 3 layered pyramid that’s more further out. While exploring, you can find old papyri that reference Imhotep and what his progress was at the time he built that particular structure. There’s also a burial site in where Imhotep was said to be buried but the sarcophagus is opened and empty.
Honestly, if Ubi wants to keep up their yearly release schedule while also maintaining quality, they should just alternate AC and Watch_Dogs titles. The most recent entries in both franchises were huge improvements over their predecessors, and since they've established that the respective universes are one and the same, they could even start telling a much grander, franchise-spanning epic than having two "connected" but isolated franchises.
It's possible to light tomb torches and other light sources with your hand torch by equipping the torch and standing next to the other torches and fire pits to light them. Similar to the cat petting animation.

A Medjay, who were a real group of people once tasked with protecting the Pharaoh there’s quite a lot of references to subject 17 too and altair and the fact that you see how the ceremony for committing to the brotherhood was formed, sacrificing the ring finger its all paying homage to the series’s “origins” and i love it 😊
So I have a theory that the "messenger in those weird precursor cutscenes like the one where you get the Isu armor, is Desmond Miles. While the voice is similar for one, he says "I'm talking to a lesser version of myself to do what I couldn't" or something like that. I believe this is Desmond trying to contact Layla through the animus to warn her, since in all of these scenes he wants you about "the next chapter" and that it can't be stopped, also he was once in a very similar position Layla is in now. Anyway, that's my theory.
All of these made me smile and each time i see gameplay of this game i am surprised by new features, effects, physics, mechanics and i feel myself playing through this for hours. Might pick it up!
"The wall to the North" could be a reference to both the real-word Hadrian's Wall and the Wall from ASoIaF, since the Wall is heavily inspired by Hadrian's Wall.
a1 1b You do know that's made by Rocksteady not Ubisoft right? Or are you just saying they should make another one? I agree though that Rocksteady should make another. They did confirm Arkham Knight is the end of the Arkham series but not the final Batman game.
With the wall to the north, you can actually find a note saying “it’s so boring here, bet it’s more fun in the storage depot to the south” or something like that in the small outpost on the wall itself
You forgot one thing, in the game there’s another Game of Thrones reference which is a rare spear called Needle, and the description of the weapon is “Stick ‘em with the pointy ends”. For those who forgot you can rewatch season 1 and there’s a scene where Jon gave Arya the sword “Needle”.
Sloth because u probably live in Europe like me. In other countries it's called dead men tell no tales, I prefer dmtnt (dead men tell no tales)because it sounds better
There’s these guys on Rome who follows The Order of The Ancients, giving speech about how the order is born from a realization and that sort of thing. The way that the speech was arranged specifically made me believe that this is a reference to the speech that Haytham gave to his son ; Connor during their fight in AC3. And also on the bonus mission “Ambush at Sea”, the storyteller told Bayek something very similar, on the same line and same in definition as in Altaïr’s famous words : “Nothing is True, Everything is Permitted”. Hope this helps!
The fire that appears in the middle of the deserts is one of the middle-Eastern myths called ( nar alrakib) or in English ( the rider's fire 🔥) the myth say's it's devil lives in the desert that appears to the traveler trying to make him get lost and eventually eating him they say that this devil if you show fear from him it will come closer and closer and if you don't it will run off, I have played the game and noticed this thing I was running after the fire and in the end it I heard a Girl laughing, than I said since the director is arabian originally maby he used the myth as easter egg
That sounds way more interesting of an Easter egg, but it’s probably related to Moses (since Egypt) You have the Burning Bush (God) The Staff That turns into a Snake And a swarm of locusts So I think it’s meant to be related to Moses.
@Gameranx: The wall to the North reference is to another letter that, at another small fort North of that area, is another scroll from another guard saying "Guarding the North wall is boring, I wish I was guarding the storage"
The “wall up north” could also be referencing Hadrian’s Wall which was the northern border of the Roman territory in England and George RR Martin Said that the wall was inspired by Hadrian’s Wall
Dex Peck Yes, you can. Although you are given a warning on the first one about how cats are 'sacred beings' and that's they should be 'protected', and once you kill a third one you will die.
There is another easter egg or at least I think it is. There's one of those bounty hunters out of the 10 you must kill named 'The Iron Bull' thing is in Dragon Age Inquisition there is a character called 'The Iron Bull'. Reference to another RPG game perhaps?
Number 8 is nothing more than a joke. When you go the wall there is a note there that says guarding the wall is boring and they would like to guard the place where the original note is (can't remember what it is called in Alexandria) and state that nothing happens at the wall.
Marc Wolfgang Zastrow And the cool things is, I think we can see the very very first leap of faith in FC Primal performed by the main character's friend I forgot his name tho.
i still love the idea of aiden pearce being somehow connected to the assassins, particularly when a lot of people described the first watch_dogs as "modern day assassin's creed". and the lore implications of this chicago hacker who's basically all-powerful when it comes to technology knows who "The brotherhood" is, and respects (or fears) them enough to hunt down and kill a man based purely off the fact he's wanted by them, but isn't an assassin himself?
Mark Irwin It's when you play as the Abstergo employee, if you haven't done it, there are computers where you can hack and get some information out of those computers, which some are very cool. And a lot of the info you can get is a successive audio messages from Desmond to his father but that's before he died.
I'm probably gonna buy this game, I think it's commendable that they took a year off to refine this game a lot. I really don't mind the sidegrading microtransactions, and it just looks pretty fun
1:38 the wall on the north is actually pretty silly, since it is a military facility you can and climb up the wall to where all the archers guards are. You'll find a message from one of the guards there saying how boring it is to guard the wall to the north and how he thinks the military facility next to it gets more action.
Fun fact: If Bayek is wearing any form of mask that covers up his mouth, his voice will sound muffed when he speaks, and the sci-fi armor he wore will make his voice sound like a cyborg.
One of my favorite hallucinations in ACO is only triggered when you're on horse back. If you travel through the desert on horse back for long enough, a random, sparkling person will join you and ride on the back of the horse behind you.
Another desert hallucination is where Bayek sees a (possibly headless) horsemen, who fades in and rides around on a white horse for a while until disappearing again.
How about one of the stone circle quest? When khemu asks his dad “what is best in life” and he mentions his friend ‘kenan’ saying...”To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women!”
In I think the last side mission with the poet in Alexandria, the final cutscene he says they'll write a play about "the last medjay". His assistant comes along and says, "Don't worry, we'll change the name of the play and the main villan, Ptolomy, he won't die and the show will go on while looking at the camera. Obviously this is a reference to a famous play, sadly I'm not that well educated on literature so I'm not sure witch one.
Just started playing the game; in reference to #9 the note about the wall, there is a guard post at a wall slightly north or the depot, there’s a note there saying the same thing about it being boring at the wall and they bet the depot is so much more exciting
There’s a Conan reference on one of the Stone circles quests. Bayeks son asks “what is best in life” then after Bayeks reply says “my friend said it was to crush your enemies and hear the lementations of the women”
At Cyrene there's this guy giving a speech and he basically cites haythems last words. The order is born from a realization, we require no creed.... That was a great Easter egg
I kinda figured they were in the same universe when you could walk into an Skyscraper owned by Abstergo in the first watch dogs. It had TVs showing ads and the Abstergo logo all over the inside of the building. Also in Farcry 3 there was that DLC mission where you went into an underground testing facility(or something similar), if you looked around you could find folders with the Abstergo logos on them.
4:03 Not quite a big deal but I need to point out that there is no alligator in ACO. Alligators are only distributed in China and North America. Historically they had larger territories but no alligator had ever co-existed with ancient Eygptian, Roman and Greeks. All these gaint aquarian reptiles in this game are actually crocodiles which belong to a different species. These two species are relative and can be easily misidentified. (lol, and I had confused them for a very long time.) Despite their similar shape their genetic tie is far more distant than the tie between us and neanderthals. Well, simply remember that alligator exists only in China and North America. This should prevent a lot of mistakes.
You missed the ones where after you rescue this philosopher’s actors, he talks about making a new title or something for the play. He titles it My Pharaoh Lady which I believe is a reference to the movie, My Fair Lady. He also wants to make a play about the main character titled The Last of the Medjays = The last of the Mohicans(great movie btw).
There is also a Mortal Kombat reference. If you kill one of the elephant bosses with the adrenaline thing, you get an achievement called "Fatality!" And there's no way that's a coincidence

digital _id4 pirates of the Caribbean 5
i thought #5 was salazars revenge?
Sloth because u probably live in Europe like me. In other countries it's called dead men tell no tales, I prefer dmtnt (dead men tell no tales)because it sounds better
I wouldn't really say Dead men tell no tales is an easter egg. It's a very popular pirate saying, used in many games and movies.
That sounds way more interesting of an Easter egg, but it’s probably related to Moses (since Egypt)
You have the Burning Bush (God)
The Staff That turns into a Snake
And a swarm of locusts
So I think it’s meant to be related to Moses.
BMXfan9797 they say because of this myth Moses felt afraid it's also mentioned in the Qur'an our religious book
it's just a bush
Saif Aladawi cool story thanks for sharing. I love mythology
Wow that armor is so cool! You go from an old style assassin to a space super soldier!
Fun fact :the assasins creeds origins isnt actually in egypt....its part of the greek empire because its in the ptolemaic times
Andreas Konstantinos I thought it is part of the Roman empire during this game
It takes place at the end of the ancient Egyptian civilization, in the country of Egypt.
Andreas Konstantinos it's in egypt and lybia if you look at a modern map
BMXfan9797 left top corner of the map is in the country of lybia
You can tell that this game just had some extra love put into it, it is by far the best ac game I've ever played
HAPPY HALLOWEEN 👍
"What Ubisoft have to do is tied Rayman universe into Watch_Dogs and Assassin's Creed universe and I am sold" - Mathew Patrick
No 3. It’s actually a destiny armour or outfit
@Gameranx: The wall to the North reference is to another letter that, at another small fort North of that area, is another scroll from another guard saying "Guarding the North wall is boring, I wish I was guarding the storage"
THE CLOTH MIGHT BE A REFFERENCE TO JOUNREY! Its a desert and its a flying cloth that leads you to where you need to go, c'mon now!
The “wall up north” could also be referencing Hadrian’s Wall which was the northern border of the Roman territory in England and George RR Martin Said that the wall was inspired by Hadrian’s Wall
But can you shoot the cats?
Dex Peck yes you can xD
Lol you die if you shoot too many because they are "Sacred Beings" and should be protected lol
No ,but the cats are packin heat so don't piss them off.
Not First
Number 8 is nothing more than a joke. When you go the wall there is a note there that says guarding the wall is boring and they would like to guard the place where the original note is (can't remember what it is called in Alexandria) and state that nothing happens at the wall.
And Far Cry (same univers)
You can still hear Desmond in " Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag".
themaker151 really when?
Mark Irwin It's when you play as the Abstergo employee, if you haven't done it, there are computers where you can hack and get some information out of those computers, which some are very cool. And a lot of the info you can get is a successive audio messages from Desmond to his father but that's before he died.
themaker151 oh yeah now I know what u are on about now, yeah there really cool
There is a reference to Final Fantasy 15 on a mission called "A gift from the gods" where you have to free Ardyn
I am loving this game so far. :D
Give the man who made that hilarious thumbnail a cookie
or woman
There is a speer called "Needle"
With the description: "stick it with the pointy end"
That is the best GoT ref ever
I just love your videos its so good❤️
In I think the last side mission with the poet in Alexandria, the final cutscene he says they'll write a play about "the last medjay".
There’s also a prince of Persia outfit, and the hidden ones lair’s layout is a throwback-or forward- to the ones you use in AC1
This guy should do more voiceovers, his voice is much nicer than the other guys
