For a song about childhood trauma, societal disconnection, and possibly depression… you sure made it catchy and straight out of the 1920’s. That last part is a complement.

Its literally swing, which was very popular in speakeasies, streets, etc in the 20s.

I really loved that you took such a classic song and gave something new to it! I always love your music. I’m just a bit sad that Pat McCarthy’s English lyrics weren’t used. Those lyrics were basically adopted into the English utaite community as the “official” unofficial lyrics of the song. It just would’ve felt more nostalgic to hear the words I could sing along to. I do enjoy that there was a different approach to the lyrics, I guess I just would’ve preferred something more close to home. Still lovely nonetheless. Everyone did great^^

I wouldn't have minded more familiar lyrics but also don't feel limited to them
