Whoever designed the weapon animations did not do great 😂
Really wish there was more radiant quests in the game. Once you flush out gangs from their territories there's really nothing to do and no one to use up these weapons on.
The names for guns in these kind of games are absolutely horrible
Why does a gun name matter?

This game just doesn’t feel like a mafia game. Just feels like you’re some henchsoldier killing people with big guns.

Congratulations! You've found a spoiler egg! 🍳 🦠😂
I played the original Mafia game which is a masterpiece. I bought Mafia 3 used at a game store & I was blown away by how good it is. It's very intense & the graphics/vehicle's are fantastic! If you don't own it go but it it's worth it! 👍👍
@Austin Batton no, mafia 3s gameplay is a shadow of what mafia 2s was.
It's repetitive, simple, and sometimes flat out boring.
It's the amount of potential it had, set in this period, they seriously undelivered.
@@Smitherrrrs 😆 you are delusional their are more combat options, various takedown animations tied to each gun along with a stealth system and FAR more weapons gameplay wise Three is factually better. Why do you think the remaster for the first game uses the same engine? ALL the Mafia titles are repetitive it's just shoot and drive every single game you classic fans have nostalgia goggles on. The length of three highlighted the repetition but the gameplay loop is basically a updated version of two with better set pieces and far more side activities to do races, bounty hunting, drug trafficking, managing a club etc.
@@Dark-Shinobi no, the missions for mafia 3 are ridiculously recycled.
Calm yourself down and look at it objectively,
Drive here, kill henchmen, interrogate the head guy to learn some information to then repeat until some story cutscenes apply.
Combat options have nothing to do with the game play I'm talking about, solely missions.
Mafia 3 was the biggest disappointment to true franchise fans
@@Smitherrrrs More combat options equal better gameplay variety I don't need to calm down because I'm already looking at the series logically without nostalgia goggles you sound stupid. Like I said "ALL the Mafia titles are repetitive it's just shoot and drive every single game" "The length of three highlighted the repetition" but all the titles were paper thin in terms of gameplay variety with the older titles being even worse because of bare bones outdated shooting mechanics and a completely useless open world with NOTHING to do. The entire series is average at best three at least added actual actives and finally put the open world to use instead of having it as a useless background like previous titles.
@@Smitherrrrs “to true franchise fans” bro stfu
This game is so lazy animated...
Clipping textures. Lazy recoil animation. Similar reload animations for different weapon. Not animated parts. Not animated pump-actions shotguns without aiming. And that weird bolt-action cycle. It all looks cheap AF.
1:39 since when an M1A1 can accept drum mags???
2:21 how can you fire a grease gun while the cover is closed when it wasn't supposed to be able to fire?
3:04 an MP5 but its rear sight was moved to the center of the receiver... interesting... (edit: it's an MP5 Prototype, creds to Alexey Bell for the correction)
3:18 bolt release: am i a joke to you?
4:15 a semi auto M1887?
It's an MP54 not an MP5 and the rear sight being on the center of the receiver is correct.

@Alexey Bell you're right, but i failed to notice it before because i can't really see it to be sure, i mean there is even a gap (sort of) that is enough for the charging handle to pass through.
Imagine being a cocodrile and suddenly hearing/feeling a bunch of shoots. Nice

I know but man the ai in this game sucks and the repetitive side quest makes the gameplay loop boring

the hell they got a name like that. Kalashlikon 67 would be much cooler as a name for an AK
@@giannilyanicks1718 And "Stoner .223" would fit the M16 like a glove. "Stromer .223" made it feels like H&K made the gun or something.

my two favorite guns in this game are the Stromer .223 and the ALFREDSSON M833. They also happen to be based on my two favorite guns of the vietnam war. p.s. Cool video :)
Right? That M16 *SHREDDED* everything in the game, it's so OP that it's ridiculous. Especially when you can get it at about 1/3 of the game for free.
My combo is the M16 when things get hot and the silenced 1911 for "wet work".

why the Stromer aka M16 isn't chambered, it looks like a laziness of devs

The weapons were cool and all. But I could've finished better games in that time.
the new sounds are awesome imo
Damn I don’t remember the game having this many weapons. Then again the last time I played it was like 4 years ago. I’m definitely gonna replay it soon

@freudpertutti639 and the worst mission design, weather effects at launch, worst AI at launch, and was just catastrophic at launch. I'm sure they fixed it, but you're seriously telling me you don't remember that?
@@troypowers750 it's flawed but Mafia 3 is a Masterpiece, the ONLY thing Mafia 2 got better(mafia 2 got ps2 graphics) is the consistence of the shot gun
@@freudpertutti639 So which is it? A masterpiece or a great game? Masterpiece has been so overused to the point of absurdity. I don't want to play a game where the only thing to do is one version of Shoot the Bad Guy: kill until you interrogate a lieutenant just to get to the ultimate goal. That was reused several times throughout. Sorry, but this sounds like Fall Out 3 and 4 all over again. Instead of the story and world-building being a clusterfuck on top of gameplay flaws, it's just basic gameplay flaws that destroy everything around the world-building.
