Making fear your friend is such a great tip. Instead of trying to numb and avoid your fear at all costs, I say embrace it. Understand it.

Dont make "fear" your friend. "Love"yourself, embrace and transcend your fear. Between Love and fear only one is real. What did Seneca say? Good luck.

The Fear of Regretting is what made me start my own business. I didn’t want to look back at the end of my life and regret that I didn’t take the chance. I guess it could be the same as “YOLO” or “FOMO”, but ultimately it was facing fears and doing something I’ve never done before. SO GLAD I DID!!!

I’ve always seen fear as an indication of the things you value. Most of us fear death because we value being alive, most of us fear being judged because we value our connections, etc.

Fear of having nothing and letting love ones down is what drives me forward every day?! I’m not well educated. I was always told I would fail at everything by my peers, teachers too?! Until my late Grandfather told me you must learn from failure dust yourself down try,try again. I walked out of school zero qualifications I failed my first business through naivety and learned from it?! I’m now a proud owner of two Gardening companies. Fear & determination drove me to success.

    "I must not fear.
    Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
    I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over and through me.

I love the way your videos are so unique and different from all the others. Every video feels so fresh! It's also energizing to see so many people trying to conquer fear. I've also been tackling a lot of fear in the past few years, especially months. One thing that has also worked well for me is to close my eyes and ears, pick the smallest, easiest step to start with, and charge through it. Action cures fear in an instance!

As well as moving away from fear, I've learnt to step away from comfort, and the illusion of comfort as well.
It is all too easy to spend money going out, socialising, reading stories out in bars. But it isn't good for me any more.
I quit reading at venues last night. I'm done. It's of as much use to me as is sitting in a pub. I'd rather be working.
I was going to do one final gig and make it a big one, but that just seems like a waste of money and time.
Poetry is too political, people are so one-sided. There is hardly any art to it any more. It's got boring.
I realised my audience is somewhere else, and it's actually easier to reach them by just staying at home.
Really glad you posted this, it's perfect timing.
    Thank you :)

I went in the US Army at 17, just a punk with an attitude and a C student in school. One thing a certain drill sergeant told us was that fear is evil and you must conquer and remove it's presence. That stuck with me for 35 years. I've been in situations where immense fear could've literally killed me or had me kill someone. I once had a gun stuck in my stomach and I carried my Glock 26 in the small of my back, which I had a CCW for...I very quickly, but calmly reacted by knocking the guy's arm away and drawing my weapon giving the guy a chance to decide if he was going to reengage his gun on me. Luckily for him, he didn't and just turned and ran. I believe he probably didn't have any bullets loaded in his gun, but he wasn't counting on me to produce a gun either. Fear could've killed me or easily killed him. The police when questioning me, asked why I didn't fire my weapon at him. I said I thought he deserved a chance, but really it was that lack of fear that kept me from pulling the trigger. Most people faced with the same situation with a gun on their person would've fired if given the chance, the police told me this and I would've been in the right had I done that. I don't subscribe to using fear as motivation or turning fear into something positive, that might work for some people, but I'd rather not invite (intentionally or otherwise) fear in.

I'm naturally a quite person especially when it comes to people I don't know and talking in front of more than a couple. I've always been quick to think of my ideas as dumb, not creative or worth anything. Putting myself out there in generally is really scary to me. But to achieve my goals of starting my own businesses and being part of a friend's business, and to gain financial freedom and freedom in general, I've had to make myself step out of those fears and insecurities.
What I've learned and has helped is learning new skills, which has given me the confidence to become more creative and voice the ideas and new skills I've learned. It does take time, I've been working on this for a couple years but full time over the past four months. It's life changing once you overcome the fears that hold you back.

Terrified I won’t be picked due to lack of exp., terrified of the thought of having to be able to get and keep a job and terrified of growing up. Ok I honestly have to ask, first of all I love your content and will always watch. You are obviously a self-aware human, how much has your beauty been able to give you a leg up in situations where all other factors being equal, would have not happened to a person of lesser beauty?
I know it's a taboo to bring up physical appearance, but it is wired in our core as people and whether we admit it or not, it influences how we respond to situations/people.

By summoning the courage to face what you fear is the best way to grow Beyond that inner boundary that is set by the mind. Thank you so much Sorelle. This video is God sent! This year I have been going through a crisis with my parents because I have decided to quit my ob and start my own business. I have noticed that these last months their fear and the things they have been saying to me has kind of paralysed me. And I have started postponing things I scheduled months ago because I was affraid that may be they could be right with no legitimate reason. People are loving the products I offer. Until now, no one who has ever tested my product has ever disliked it. In the contrary people are thrilled after testing it but still the fear through the words of my family members has started becoming a weight in my life. Sometimes they were looking at me with pity. Can you imagine your parents and siblings looking at you with pity because you want to start a business? Sorelle thank you again for this video. I really needed it.

I actually started doing "fear-setting" recently without knowing there was a name for it! It's something that's finally got me to start learning app development (I'm a software engineer by day, procrastinator by night), because the fear of "what if no one uses it?" was finally set straight by the fact I could make it for myself and a friend and then at least there's 2 people using it!

I've had crippling anxiety for the first time in my life this summer and fall where I can not go out, I feel disassociated 90% of the time, and have lost all sense of independence. But my biggest fears are ones that will not kill me or hurt me long term. I'll say them in the off chance this helps someone else; getting sick while in a situation where I can not easily leave (airplane, hike, travel), spiders (specifically in spaces I can't run away from them like a car or shower), and being terrified to go and terrified to stay and miss out. None of these things result in my dying. For sickness, I would sit down untill I feel better. For spiders, I would find a way to kill/remove them or myself from the situation. For missing out, I would just go and not worry that I made the wrong decision, trust myself and my body. I heard this somewhere, "You have made it through every single thing you thought you were not strong enough to make it through. Be proud of yourself" and it's been a mantra or meditation anytime I feel nervous. I just say, "you have made it through" until my anxiety comes down.

A successful businesswoman I know once explained a very useful approach to leaving one's comfort zone to me: commit to stepping 10% outside of it at a time; any more than this at once, and one is likely to feel overwhelmed; any less, and it's unlikely to be a meaningful exercise. Of course, how to measure that 10% is another matter...

All emotions are key to self-knowledge and well-being, whether they are pleasant or not to feel. We unfortunately live in a society where you don't learn to recognize them, give them space to be and even less to be processed and expressed. Plus, we are ruled by this dictatorship of positivity. "Don't cry, it's gonna be fine", "don't shout, you're embarrassing me", "you've got everything to be happy, why are you sad" are all cursed sentences that push people to bury their feelings and become time bombs instead of simply sitting with those and learning to name with accuracy, accept/welcome and process. It's a pity. Thanks for this video.

You have really inspired me, and showed me that it is possible, and that I can do it. I wish I would have found you before. I'm already using the information that you have presented and now I just have to keep with it. One of my favorite quotes from Doterra is "Success is Scheduled!" They mean it as you have to put things on your calendar and do them (which is also valuable), but I take it as success is inevitable. As if you cannot escape the success that is coming your way. You have only to accept it into your life. Thank you so much for all your hard work and effort! Your messages are a game-changer!

There are Good Fear & Bad Fear! Good Fear is an inborned Six Sense that steer us away from eminent Dangers , like sticking out our heads while driving or standing too close to a loosen cliff or buying that Risky Stock or Property or our Guts telling us to leave this Abusive or Toxic Relationship before it is Too Late! Bad Fear immobilized us of doing the Good Chores we supposed to do! So in conclusion >>> Respect our Inner Six Sense to Avoid Dangers & Write Down Notes & take baby steps to accomplish those needed to do List! 🙏 Respect & Salute to Sorelle for braving the Australian outback that full of Poisonous Creatures! Thank You So Much & Stay Safe & Be Grateful Sorelle! 🕯🌷🌿🌍

For me it's not so much about fear but acknowledgement that people actually do not need things, more info etc. We have already exhausted our nature, anything we produce literally and very directly feeds this current deadly system. What does it mean becoming rich? Do people really need more money, stuff? What people need is to become aware.

Oh wow. Watching your video, I found and liberated a fear in myself that I hadn't realized before.
I'm starting to make youtube videos and i felt resistance to continue during the last days. When you shared your theory about fear from an evolutionary perspective, I thought that I don't fully agree with your take - and suddenly it hit me how that is just okay and not a problem! Here you are, obviously doing amazing and I find your content super valuable, even if I feel that there is something 'wrong' in it.
I feel scared to put up content that is not entirely correct. So, dear fear, it's okay even if what I share is not entirely true - it's enough to speak from my truth of this moment and it's valuable to share my perfectly imperfect thoughts as they are. (Not gonna share what I disagree with as that doesn't even matter for this lesson :) )

What you focus on you will create. Focus on your fear and it will arrive. If you are afraid of mice or spiders they will show up because you are looking for them.
I look at fear as sign to get/be prepared for the next step. It is magical when you have pushed through the fear prepared.
