Dear Pat, you are so kind. Thank you so much. I enjoy the process and I am proud of my progress as well. Looking back a year ago when I started, the differences are huge. Can’t wait to see where I am going with it. Much Love Suza
Oh honey the cones in the cone pack should face the dot when they fall. Be sure to test your pieces and make sure they’re fully vitrified. It looks like the middle probably got hot enough but since the cones weren’t at the right angle you can’t be sure. I love that pink bowl! What a great idea with the bowl to leave the strips of bare clay! Ohh and the shipwreck and cenote is gorgeous!!!! You can use the paper over and over again until it gets glaze on it!!😊 You can try and fix the crawling in that amaaaazing mug by putting glaze just where it crawled to make sure you don’t have too much. It may have crawled because there was dust in the bottom of the mug or sometimes becasue there is too much glaze. Ooh I absolutely love the LOVE mug. How cool is that! The last two pieces are awesome. Grew at kiln load!!
Michele, it is amazing how much time you took to write all those nice hints and tipps for me. I can learn so much from you and I appreciate your support and help so much. Thank you for everything. Much Love Suza
Great to have a new favorite mug, sometimes you have to keep one too. I have one from 1980's. I couldn't make one like it again today but even after so many years and so many still find new favorites. Congratulations.
Hello Jeffrey, thanks for your comment. Because I am new with this pottery thing I find all the time new favorites 😜 You startet in the 80s. That is fantastic. It shows me, that it doesn't get old. I am happy, that we both found something that doesn't bother us. I love that I can live my creativity with it. Much love Suza and thank you so much for watching.
Wonderful Suza, I just love all the pieces, they are all unique on their own, no one is similar to the other, always a pleasure watching your videos, lots of love from Kenya 🇰🇪.
Thank you Benard. With every mug people take from me I collect some money for Antoni. Hopefully I have the chance to come to Nairobi next year. But our businesses are in difficult times. Send you much love to Africa. Miss it so much.
Hey Michelle, I can’t tell how your comment makes me smile. I sit in front of my laptop and my husband came into the kitchen and asked me: what makes you so happy? My answer: Those people here like Michele. Because I was ready your comment. Thank you so much. I love that glaze too. MuchLove Suza
Hey Sheila, thank you so much. That warms my heart. In 10 hours I can open the kiln again. I am excited. On my way to the US tomorrow I will make the video ready for publishing it. Hope it turns out good. Much love and thank you for watching and writing. That means a lot to me. Suza ❤️
@susanroswandowicz you are welcome dear Susa. I cant wait to see your next kiln unload. Succes on your travel and stay safe. ♡ Sheila Btw, i uploaded my first short. I hope to become part of the wonderful pottery community here.
Deine Tassen sehen großartig aus, gut gemacht. Bald wird es schneien, brrrrr so kalt. I had to giggle when the suggestion of placing in the freezer, you just put it outside.😅😅😅 So many nice pieces, I too like the favorites of yours, especially the square design. Filming is difficult. I tried and deleted all. Just put up a quick short of the pieces that came out of the kiln. There's a tumbler with orange on the bottom part. Its spectrum neon orange. You can see it, as you were enquiring about orange a little while back. Take care and Happy potting.
Hey Evelyn, I watched your shorts and also saw the tumbler. All your pieces are pretty and need a bigger stage. Don't you think you can try again and take us with you at your next kiln opening? I know how you feel. I think we all know. But it is only the first video that sucks. The second feels already a little better. Much love Suza. GO FOR IT!!!
@susanroswandowicz danke mein freund. I will organize myself a little better with phone stand etc. And open kiln in the morning to film. Thanks, happy potting and take care. 😊
Nice pieces and glazing! Oh that water etched Love mug and your other favorite were really lovely and original. Congratulations on a very successful kiln unload. One question, when you said engobe, did you mean underglaze?
Hey Liana, sometimes that means the same. But Engobes have more Clay in it than the classic Underglazes. This is what Chat GPT says: •Engobe: Typically applied to leather-hard clay to smooth the surface or change its color. It often covers larger areas and can remain matte or slightly rough if no glaze is applied on top. Underglaze: Primarily used for detailed designs or paintings, often on dry or bisque-fired clay. It remains visible after glaze application as it shows through the glaze. I hope I could answer your question with it. Much Love Suza
Hi Suza, some beautiful mugs in this kiln unload. I especially liked the one with the bicycle on it. In had never seen the highfire kiln paper before and would like to try it. Is it something that you would use again?
Hey Mary, this kiln paper is really fragil after the first use. I think you can use it only 2 times each before it breaks. For me it makes absolutely sense to use it because I don't do much Kiln Firings. For professional potters it is probably to expensive because you have to buy them all the time. That's why it ist nice to have but not necessary. A cookie with Kiln wash does the same thing. I am just to lazy to take care of my cookies. Shame on me. But it was a good question. Much Love Suza
It was around 3 degrees Celsius when I recorded the video. And it worked with the spoons. Right now it’s a little warmer but so wet. It rains every day. A good time to sit inside and do pottery things 😜
@@susanroswandowicz Hi, Sand and Sea looks beautiful on your work. Aurora Green also, for me it looks like bacteria but you make it look luminous. Jessica
@karenpeters3498 @CeeJayKay I ordered it on TEMU. It's called in German: Keramikfaser Kilnpapier which is translated with Ceramic fiber kiln paper. I paid around 5 Dollars for 50 pieces. They have it in Squares and in circles. Hope it will answer your question. Much Love Suza
Some lovely pieces Suza! I like the drips on the mug with squares, makes it unique! For the crawling question: That usually happens if the glaze is to thick, if it got to hot, the glaze ran into the bottom and got to thick. You can refire but only apply some glaze on the bare spots. Another tip: you have to put the cones in the holder correctly. Here's a video by Orton that shows you how: ua-cam.com/video/bj7ru3cHcCE/v-deo.html (that is why I use self supporting cones, they are easier to work with in my opinion. Grtz, Monique
Hey Monique, I got it. Thank you. I will fill the holes and refire it. I will use all my leftover cones and then I will also change to the self supporting cones. That is a good idea. 10 more hours and then my kiln is cool enough to open it. That is the hardest time. I don't like the waiting. But in between I can watch videos to learn from you and the other great potters. Much Love Suza
Great mugs Suza! I love both of your favorites. Congrats! I'm enjoying watching you expand your horizons.

Have you ever made wind chimes? Your ornaments sounded so pretty as they were clinking on the wire! ❤
That's a pretty good idea for the summer. Thank you. I will look for cookie cutters which are good for the not Christmas season. Much Love Suza
