I noticed the same and velocity matches as well. I have been having a lot of fun with the AC10/LAC5 combo, although have you noticed there seems to be the slightest desync if you hold the fire button down long enough? I have often been using LPPCs with them as well, similar enough velocity and range
@@dannyhicking I have actually. It's little enough that I almost didn't. I can't think of any time it'll matter though. If you're holding down the trigger enough for that to appear, you're brawling. They DO pair really well with LPPC. I think I'm going to get the muromets for my lucky charms redeem and and go AC10+LAC5+LPPC with it.

Hmmm... Whatabout XL:ing and running it with 3xLPPC's and 4xLAC5's? Everything's FLPPD at that point and you can spend more time torsotwisting, etc. : )
Almost all of the new weapons are pointless in their current states, not enough dps for their weight and heat gen. The only ones that are actually kind of useful in their current states are the clan AP gauss, the IS SB gauss and mag shot.
I like all the new weapons besides the plasma cannons, It feels like im missing something but they just seem worse than a light ppc and heavier and worse than applying heat than flamers. I love the Thunderbolt!
although the new weapons may require tweaks (many sure do) i feel people may underestimate light ACs the fact alone that they are much colder than lasers of equal tonnage imo offers a much better effective DPS with less to no risk of overheating and they work well as both main damagedealers and supplemental dmg to your main build and there are man midrange combinations i feel they pair up well ..

i have an enforcer i never really played and used the light rifles 2 lac/5's and a large laser and it seems they are broken, cant do more then 249 damage. played 6 matches and i one i used almost all the ammo shooting 2 assault mechs who didnt bother to turn around, i was between 3 and 4 hundred meters and that was the highest damage i did...249 and i suspect it was mostly from the laser
LAC5s aren't really something to be compared to AC5s, they're really just half an AC10, same range and cooldown, but half the damage. So this Rifleman is just Carrying technically two AC10, but for much less tonnage and space. They just require more Ballistic hard points.
I'm going to give my Rifleman IIC-2 a go with 6 P-AC4's, 760 DPS to the current 1000 with LB2X's, but much higher Alpha which feels more important as of late.
I really dislike how mwo is "spam out 5x 1ton weapons for higher alpha strikes and dps than using 1x 5ton weapon. Was fighting an adder or something the otherday in my kgc with 2x ac 20s. We basically sat staring eachother down. And my twin ac20s. Didnt have the dps output to ct a light mech. But the light mechs like 12 ap gauss had no problem like 3x alpha striking and killing my full health full armor center torso of an assault mech, while he face tanked 3x alpha strikes from stock loadout kgc 000b. And still had armor plating on his ct
This is one of my favorite looking mechs; I just hate how fragile the arms seem to be. Thanks Baradul for making this, love this mech!

As a Rifleman lover i absolutely love the Light AC/5s on them! You especially made them shine here and i love that comeback in the second game!
4x LAC-5, 3x LPPC on a Widowmaker works really well.
This is definitely one of the chassis that LAC/5's go really well with!
Shadowhawk benefits from them aswell. Running 3 LAC5 and 12 SRMs, its a blast
I love LAC5s. Did you know they have the same range and cooldown as AC10s? Like, exactly. They're meant to be paired.
Centurion-D, for example. You can easily squeeze in a LAC/5 with an AC/10 on the arm, for example.

The plasma cannons line up perfectly with one of the UACs too, I paired them on a Sun Spider.
I ran a similar build like this on my War Emu but having ER Medium lasers instead of small, all on a standard engine.

I like that first map! That first amp is sweet! The LA5s are good too. I could put them on a Raven with a lrm5 missile and be a real nuisance heheheh
4LAC 5 and 4 Medium Pulse Lasers makes for a quite nasty direct fire skirmisher.

This is the WaifuMan as God (AKA, Kallon Industries) intended; a walking anti-air quad battery.
I switched to 4 x ac2 for this build. At range facetime matters less and the dps is higher.

i made a LAC5 annihilator probably not that great as its only 6 LAC 5s with a few lasers. Still hoping to see a Stalker build
I really think LACs need to be one shot instead of two though I'm sure most will disagree. They already have other drawbacks.
My question is this: does an LAC5 fire faster than an AC20, if so then you basically have a faster firing AC20.

LAC5s does benefit a certain number of ballistic mechs in the 55 to 70 tons range.
Should try your Shadowhawk with LAC5s instead of AC2 and see how it goes.
The light's also have increased heat.
Cooldown was reduced to 1.8s in last match, making LAC/5 extremely viable.

Your experience isn't unique. I took out a 6 LAC 5 maulers and it was unimpressive. The damage wasn't registering.

I tried this with 5LACs and I hated it. bursting fire sucks. AC5 aare just too slow fire rate and these just make it worse.
Like the fact that a light mech with 4x ac5s.
