The worst possible roll became the best possible roll as Emile said about Tim's luck when it came to that 1-1-2 roll!
That's Tim in a nutshell. Jon is extreme bad luck, Emile is extreme good luck and Tim is ultimate chaos!

Not helped with the fact that Tim kept on panting the whole time.
Tim is usually the button masher master. I’m sure I remember him not winning because this game rarely uses buttons.

To be fair the game has a lot of dumb design choices in the entire franchise and if you don't see that then you're nostalgia blind.

@@BryonYoungblood I agree 9 and 10 are not that good but with all due respect, 8 has it's set of issues as well.
8 had bad forced motion controls in minigames that seemingly outnumber minigames that use the d-pad, forced pointer controls in the boards for no reason, a regression of the item system, a dumb dueling system and a game that overall is visually worse than Mario Party 6 and 7 and at half the framerate of the Gamecube titles too. The procedural generating King Boo board was interesting and Koopa's Tycoon Town is way more fair than Windmillville in Mario Party 7 but it's not enough to save the game for me since I either dislike or feel "meh" regarding the other 4 boards.
I'm not the kind who likes comparing two things I don't like but Mario Party 9 and 10 had a car going down a linear path, the minigames seen an improvement but the downside is you have to land on specific spaces to initiate them so there are cases where you barely get to see them, the item system has been reduced even more to just different dice and you never feel secure in the lead with whatever how many mini stars you have. Overall the issue is your only strategy is just special dice whenever the game gives you something, the few forks in the roads and how good you are in the minigames.
So in the end I have a choice between one game that frustrates me one way or another 2 games that frustrate me in other ways. Either way I'd rather play nearly all of the earlier entries or Mario Party DS.
That big “WHAT?!” from Tim at 38:44 still cracks me up.

This is one of the most exciting boards of Mario Party I've ever seen. High scoring, stupid luck, and wackiness beyond belief.

Mario Party 8 sure has taught us some good ways to lose weight: We can transform our legs into a tornado or a spring, cut them off for kartastrophic racing, and turn our bodies into a large ball or a stone statue of our heads.
The only problem? *_You can't buy candy if you have no legs._*
Would you want a tornado in your store, throwing all your merchandise around and tearing the place apart with high-velocity winds?
I just realised that Bigtop is very possibly the first member of Cappy's race that we ever actually see.
18:55 I came to this video because I remembered this moment. The reason why Jon lost is because of how minuscule the difference was compared to the massive height difference between Yoshi and Waluigi holding the can. They eliminated the character height value and left the can remaining. Waluigi is so much taller that he beat yoshi by standing, so they eliminated the height difference.

In this specific minigame, if 2 people finish breaking the statue at the same time, the winner is picked at *random*

This board went from A Lost Hope to The Timpire Strikes Back and finally Return Of The Jon.
I'll always be amazed that Emile lost this one. Such a great start, and even stole 2 stars from the computer, yet Jon was just as lucky.
I hope to god that "At the Chomp Wash" moment gets put in the top 10.
I must say when I watched the first board that TRG did of Mario Party 8. I knew this was gonna be a funny LP! xD

Watching how bad the motion controls were in this game, Rotation Station is my 2nd favorite minigame, mainly because of training to traverse the platforming without changing the camera. It's fun when you try it

This is my least favourite Mario Party. And yet it's one of my absolute favourite TheRunawayGuys' LPs.

This is the last true Mario Party board we would see until SUPER MARIO PARTY on the Switch. This board was absolutely *bananas*, and I'm not just talking about Tim's luck with three 7s and the DK space. Emile's good luck turned against him in this game, except with dueling Daisy, and Jon's penchant for rolling 1s turned inTWO another surprising round of "the beanpole prophet calling his rolls". He's been surprisingly good at that throughout their Mario Party exploits over the decade or so TRG has been around.
P.S. Jon/Waluigi deserve all of the roses. They get their first one at 5:46. 1PressL2P, make sure there is a montage of great Waluigi moments in the Top 10, if not a "All the Roses for Waluigi" montage. I would love that.

The height difference between Waluigi and Yoshi.
Yoshi's soda can was lower down than waluigi's and the sprays were about even up top, so Yoshi had a few extra inches down at the actual can because he's shorter.
God damnit nintendo.
I thought that too but when they open the cans, they are all at the same height position. Waluigi lowers his can to the same as everyone else

In this first installment, we meet MC Ballyhoo and his Bonneter pal Big Top (yes I do know that this game predates Super Mario Odyssey), learn that taunting might as well be on permanent automatic for human players, that Waluigi is more of a romantic than ever before, that Tim apparently stole Emile's luck after the first few turns, that the Last 5 Turns event is called Loser Luck (or something synonymous with that), and that the clock minigame can suck a chode. I want to make a note on Shake it up Minigame. It does not depend on high the soda goes. It only depends on how much you shake the Wii Mote. Even if Jon's is the highest, Tim shook the Wii Mote faster than Jon. As for the positions, the characters holding the Soda is not in the correct position.
Looks like fist size may have been what decided the punching minigame.
Is it possible to just put the entire DK board as a moment. Too much shit happened-

Previously on Mario Party: Therunawayguys finished MP7 with Tim finishing the series in the first ever 3 way tie. Now our party pals will be venturing on the Wii with Mario Party 8. Who will take victory and who will take the fall?
