Volvo Penta Alternator Upgrade

A step by step walk through on how to upgrade the alternator on your Volvo Penta boat engine. This video shows a Volvo Penta 8.2 GSi, upgrading from the factory 3-wire 65A alternator to a 1-wire 105A alternator. We used the DB Electrical 1-wire Alternator, part number ADR0334. How much tension should be put on the belt?

@@lawnman3638 I usually tighten it enough to where I can push in the belt with my finger and it moves about 1/3 of an inch.
