Enlightening video. I want a laser. Maybe Santa lol. The laser ruler in your earlier video might be my best option. Thanks, Brian. Btw…think about a patrion page.
Haha! Santa is always an option! Yeah, I really like both options for the laser tool. Really like the visual that these give, but both are excellent! I've thought about patreon, and I'm sure I might implement that in the near future, but I don't think I'm quite there yet. I told myself I would look into things like that if and when I ever get to 10K subscribers. Thank you for the suggestion though! :)
Another informative video. I like how you review lesser known brands. Where do you find all your clips? The clips make your videos very entertaining to watch. I judge funny by if it surprises me AND makes me laugh out loud. The pendulum video with Neil deGrasse Tyson was very funny. You are doing a great job. I am looking forward to watching every step on your shop remodeling journey. When will the shop remodel videos start coming out?
You are too kind thank you! I’m having a lot of fun doing the videos! The renovation is projected to start framing September 10-14th… this seems to be a moving date. I am still working on trying to slowly get everything out of the barn as much as possible as it is a daunting task! :). Thanks for asking and than you so much for watching happymonkey!
@@dovohofficial I honestly don't know where 1/2 the clips come from. They annoy a lot of people but I have fun with it. I do a lot of googling to find them. It's very time consuming! :)
It would be good to know if these lasers can run off of the USBC ports or are they just purely for charging the batteries. Also another popular low budget brand is the Huepar
Excellent Questions. The tools can run indefinitely with the usb ports. So you don’t need to have a battery in them at all! Great question and thanks for watching vasconcelosm!
Hi Brian, I have a Huepar with 2 batteries and a remote, purchased for a very reasonable price on the big South American River...Quality works OK for me and it performs well but I don't think it is any way near as durable as the premium brands which are many times more expensive..but like I say it works for me. ...now, will you level with us..now that you have seen the light..will you banish the spirits or is there still room for a little bubbly in your workshop? A
Oh nice! I haven't heard of a Huepar! Sounds like it is probably about the same level as these two in the video. I'm sure you're right those big name brands are probably at least a little more durable but I 100% agree, These two will do me just fine. OMG, I see what you did there! Too funny. Thank you so much for making me laugh this evening! :)
.. Ah sure being Irish (land of poets and all that sort of stuff)..we can't help but love the use of innuendo and double meaning😂...I do get a wee giggle at the way some of my humour flies over the heads of others 🤭...glad you enjoy the dialogue and once again many thanks for your entertaining and educational productions..because that is what they are, productions which take a lot of time and effort and are deserving of a much bigger audience. Respect and Admiration to you Patrick.. A
You mentioned several times that you’ll be using it in the layout of your shop renovation. I don’t have much experience with using lasers, but specifically what uses do you think they’ll be indispensable for? I see they’re level and perpendicular, just wondering how they help you since your shop is already built.
Well for me the horizontal level line will be really nice to have to make sure that I have counter surfaces coplaner, that is my biggest item. I also intend on doing french cleats in several places, so it will be nice to make sure those are perfectly aligned. Lots of little things like that. I know I could probably just use a level, but this will make it easy to set it up and just follow the line. Thanks so much for the question and watching Michael!
Well these things are getting cheaper and cheaper, I am so impressed with the performance at that price considering what we used to use back when I was working construction not all that many years ago. You keep talking about the shop/barn remodel, well S#!t or get off the pot, we want to see some action..... :-) Anyway thanks for another great video.
Haha! I totally agree with you on the Sh$t or get off the pot! I've got about a week and 1/2 before some of the contractors come out. As you probably know I'm at the mercy of the job in front of me for them. The good news is I'm next on their calander... at least for now. Looking at the week of September 11th at the latest.
Dogg man, you get what you pay for and I'm way too old for any of these tools. I can afford a level and plumb bob. Can you show us how to use those? I know it's not sexy enough for you young guys, but those tools have failed no one, ever. Not much of a work out today. But, as always, good info and nice head-to-head.
Glad I could give you a little break, you've been working so hard lately. The good old fashion plumb Bob, the tool that never breaks! As long as Isaac newton was correct, I think that thing will work for ever! Thanks so much for watchig Meat, we will get you back at it next video!

I just bought a Klein laser level last month for 180 and it works great 👍
Oh nice! Love hearing all and any brands that are affordable and work well. Thanks so much for sharing baddog!
Once again good stuff. Making my choices easier.

Is the Neil deGrasse Tyson clip come from a physics documentary?
