I followed along and made a dnb break instead but I picked up some cool ideas. You might try grouping everything together and processing everything with some reverb to gel it together, a ton of compression and a good amount of saturation too, it really makes it sound lively. Then you can of course use a transient shaper or beats mode with the "arrow pointing at the line" and take the transient number down, but perhaps that level of tightness is more suited for dnb.
