JazakAllahu Khairan Sheikh Dr Yasir Qadhi I watched this series in 2016 BEFORE I became a Muslim on June 21,2016. Now after 8 years, I am watching these videos again this November, 2024. Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhi from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The more I'm watching the videos(Seerah) of Muhammad(SWT), the more I'm gaining knowledge about Him. May Allah bless you for your wonderful videos. Also, watching this Seerah in 2021.
maybe not talking in circles for 20 straight minutes then ending it with "only Allahﷻ knows " .... and inundating us repeatedly with simple simple aqeedah despite this being a more advanced course and disputing sects who aren't present and arent actively presenting points repeatedly...
I already completed all the lecture of seerah , then again and again , because I love it, there is the real Islam in seerah , may Allah reward shekh Yasir qadhi
This is one of the most beautiful explanation among all the lectures. Subhaan Allah. May Almighty Allah give you the rightful reward for spreading the wonderful message of Islam. Ameen.
Jazaka Allah khairan ☺ Shaikh for the beneficial lecture. MashaAllah He is very knowledgeableI may Allah increase his knowledge more and more. I relly love the way He explains everything step by step 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
As salamu alaikum Dr Yasir sir. One by one listening all the seerah lecture u had back in 2011/12. I don't like to praise in anyone's face but here I just want to say thank u so very much for ur kindness, for the knowledge u provided. May Allah(swt) give more Tawfiq to spread more knowledge and keep u in this path of Dawah. Also may Allah(swt) enlightened us from this knowledge. Ameen. Jazhakallah khair.💙
A wisdom of Abu Talib rejecting Islam even on his death bed, this proves that the Prophet pbuh was a true messenger because he would probably have lied and not reprimanded himself in the Quran. I understand why some people are adamant and hate to accept that Abu Talib died a disbeliever: because the Prophet pbuh loved him. But this a highly emotional response.
True lessons for us when these people didn’t benifit we are in a very difficult position sometimes with are families may allah guide us and may Allah bless this scholar for sharing this seeraht
Thank You, Dear Sir.... For This Message. As an Outsider lookin' in .... (Do to the current course I am currently taking) ...... I FEEL Your Words and Recognize Ones insight..... Much Respect, Dear Sir.... Again Much Respect.
Why? Even as a non-muslim, He really did believe his nephew and support Islam than those of us sitting at home and unable to do anything. Just like there are so many non Muslims that are fighting more for palestenians actively than many of us@@shariqRkhan07
Allah reward you. Incredible generosity. But beware : speak to every one kindly and the same... sometimes you become cold and short answer the questions of a couple of brothers there. And throughout the series so far. Forgive me if I'm wrong.
Episode 19 Notes: The Year of Sorrow Following the boycott, the Muslims returned to Makkah in the 10th year of the dawah. This then led to the Prophet SAW undergoing a very turbulent period with three calamities that all occurred over a period of two months. These three calamities are why the entire year is called “The Year of Sorrow”. Death of Abu Talib Ibn Abu Muttalib 5 weeks after the Muslims had returned to Makkah, Abu Talib got sick and was undergoing the pangs of death. Abu Talib passed away in the month of Shawwal and he died without reciting the Kalimah. The Prophet SAW wasn’t present when Abu Talib passed away and Abu Talib was buried by Ali Ibn Talib, his son. After, Abu Talib was buried, the Prophet SAW did a big dua for him. Abu Talib knew the Prophet Muhammad SAW was not a liar but, his tribalism was too great. Prophet Muhammad SAW loved Abu Talib and Allah SWT acknowledged this in the Qur’an. Death of Khadijah Bint Khuwaylid RA My mother passed away almost 40 days after Abu Talib on the 10th of Ramadhan. She was buried by the Prophet SAW himself and after Khadijah’s death the Prophet SAW didn’t smile for months on end. Protection of The Prophet SAW Abu Talib’s death led to the Prophet SAW being in a very dangerous situation as he was no longer protected. After Abu Talib’s death, Abu Lahab took control of the Banu Hashim. Surprisingly, Abu Lahab allowed the Prophet Muhammad SAW to continue doing as he was in the time of Abu Talib because of his new chieftain status. He continued protecting the Prophet SAW because SAW was part of the Banu Hashim. However, when Abu Lahab discovered that, the fate of his father will be Jahannam, he then removed all of his protection for Muhammad SAW. Fun Trivia fact: Eman is more than faith. It requires action too. Fun Trivia fact: When a Non-Muslim relative dies, you can participate in the funeral but, you cannot do any of the religious activities. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW had 11 uncles, 7 died before Islam, 2 embraced Islam these were Hamza and Al-Abbas and two rejected Islam, these were Abu Talib and Abu Lahab. The Prophet SAW had 6 aunts, of these 1 definitely embraced Islam who was Saffiyah RA. Fun Trivia fact: Attika is another aunt of the Prophet SAW, that the scholars debate on whether or not she embraced Islam. Fun Trivia fact: The Shia and some Barevli’s believe that Abu Talib died as a Muslim. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW said that a sudden death is a good death. ========================================================== Disclaimer for my Notes of Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Series: Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah series. Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Seerah series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it. You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes. One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah. Please keep me in your Duas and ask Allah SWT to forgive all our sins during this blessed month and beyond! Ameen

wait i thought people before the da'wa weren't held accountable ie they shouldn't go to hell so how come the prophet's grandfather is a kafir i mean he doesn't go to jannah? can anyone answer please and ty.
Assalamu alaikum brother in Islam, only Allah knows who will go to Jannah and Jahannum. But as far as believe in the oneness of God is concern, no compromise on that. e.g there is a person to whom no dawah has never reached but he/she believes that we have a Creator, there is some sort of power then those are the guided ones. Even scientifically if you leave a group of ppl completely isolated from the society they would believe in one God. Such group of people were found in the mid of 20th century(ref. Zakir naik lecture). Now coming to the dawah to the pre islamic era. In the beginning of the Seerah, if you remember there were some people who were calling to Tawheed and one of them is even mentioned in the last video(the man who is ummah of himself). Arabs were on the legacy of Ibrahim(as) but then they were the ones who wronged thereselve. Those who died on the oneness of God, we hope that they will go to Jannah. I share what I know. And Allah knows best. Regards Ali
+Jawad Abid None of the noble individuals of the chain coming from Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them) was indifferent to the true religion and none of them blemished their heart with shirk (idol-worship, to associate anyone or anything with Allah) and kufr (disbelief, blasphemy)" (1) Many Islamic scholars put forward with clear evidence that Prophet Muhammads (pbuh) parents will be among the people of salvation in the afterlife, through similar explanations. We can list those explanations as follows: 1) His parents, Hazrat Abdullah and Hazrat Amina, passed away long before their son undertook the task of the prophethood. So, they lived in the period of (fatrat) interregnum and they are regarded as people of interregnum. There is no torment of Hell for those who died during the period of interregnum. One day someone asked a well-known scholar Sharaf al-Din al-Munawi, "Are our prophets parents in Hell?" Al-Munawi replied, "They passed away during the interregnum. There is no torment before sending down a Prophet" (2) It is well defined in the Quran and hadith (saying or tradition of the Prophet Muhammad) that no one who did not hear an invitation of a Prophet will have torment in the afterlife. (3) It is also known that no previous Prophets invitation reached Prophet Muhammads (pbuh) parents. So, we can say that they will have no torment in the afterlife and they are among the people of salvation. 2) There is no information that the Prophets parents were in shirk and kufr. On the contrary, they were among the Hanif people who were practicing the beliefs and traditions coming from their grandfather Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh), like Zayd Ibn Amr Ibn Nufayl, Waraqa Ibn Nawfal and others. 3) Another piece of evidence that they were not in shirk is a hadith of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), "I come from a continuous line of clean fathers and always mothers" (4) In the Quran, people of shirk is defined as unclean people. (5) Since cleanness and uncleanness, faith and shirk, believers and unbelievers are opposites, and when we consider the above hadith, we must accept that no one from the ancestors of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was in shirk. (6) In short, While Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is said to be a mercy to the universe by Allah, it would not be logical and harmonious with good manners to think that his parents, who carried him in their bodies before the sun of prophethood was born would be deprived of the prosperity and light of their sun. The parents of the Messenger of Allah lived in the Period of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah). They did not live during the time of the prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) Then, a believer should know and accept the following: The parents of Allahs Messenger are surely from the people of salvation, people of Paradise and people of belief. Su

+Jawad Abid None of the noble individuals of the chain coming from Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them) was indifferent to the true religion and none of them blemished their heart with shirk (idol-worship, to associate anyone or anything with Allah) and kufr (disbelief, blasphemy)" (1)
Many Islamic scholars put forward with clear evidence that Prophet Muhammads (pbuh) parents will be among the people of salvation in the afterlife, through similar explanations.
We can list those explanations as follows:
1) His parents, Hazrat Abdullah and Hazrat Amina, passed away long before their son undertook the task of the prophethood. So, they lived in the period of (fatrat) interregnum and they are regarded as people of interregnum. There is no torment of Hell for those who died during the period of interregnum.
One day someone asked a well-known scholar Sharaf al-Din al-Munawi,
"Are our prophets parents in Hell?"
Al-Munawi replied,
"They passed away during the interregnum. There is no torment before sending down a Prophet" (2)
It is well defined in the Quran and hadith (saying or tradition of the Prophet Muhammad) that no one who did not hear an invitation of a Prophet will have torment in the afterlife.
3) Another piece of evidence that they were not in shirk is a hadith of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), "I come from a continuous line of clean fathers and always mothers" (4)
In the Quran, people of shirk is defined as unclean people. (5) Since cleanness and uncleanness, faith and shirk, believers and unbelievers are opposites, and when we consider the above hadith, we must accept that no one from the ancestors of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was in shirk. (6)
In short, While Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is said to be a mercy to the universe by Allah, it would not be logical and harmonious with good manners to think that his parents, who carried him in their bodies before the sun of prophethood was born would be deprived of the prosperity and light of their sun. The parents of the Messenger of Allah lived in the Period of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah). They did not live during the time of the prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh)
Then, a believer should know and accept the following:
The parents of Allahs Messenger are surely from the people of salvation, people of Paradise and people of belief. Su
